  1. Yeah, but they can't be voted off to go to a hotel, they have to be voted into the "new intolerance" house where they are assigned a new food intolerance, but not told what it is.
  2. I feel that my way of looking at it gives me absolute control over Celiac, not the other way around. I guess I should also say that I've pretty much always cooked my own food, not eaten much processed stuff, and not gone out much. This, for me, is mostly a different style of cooking. I had stopped drinking beer long ago without consciously knowing...
  3. You're choosing not to be sick
  4. Dang, I could see you doing your happy dance right through my computer screen!
  5. The battery operated ones are in the UK? Or ALL the tassel sites? What do they do over there anyway?
  6. But again, these tests are only relevant if you need medical intervention to treat them (which you might). I'm curious about my bone density, but I would never take those nasty pills to treat myself. Too many side effects for something that I know will return on its own. Same with other vitamin deficiencies. I know that all the levels will return to normal...
  7. Probably, but you still have to check before making assumptions.
  8. That's exactly how I feel. All I'm doing is choosing a different diet. It's no different than choosing to be vegan or choosing to eat only organic. It's a lifestyle choice. The accompanying issues may be medical (autoimmune diseases), but those can also be found in non-Celiacs. I know I'm at a greater risk for these and I can pay attention to my body...
  9. Can we whack them on the head for those of us that get headaches? How about caffeine pills at night so they can't sleep?
  10. You have to look at the reference range given by the lab. they might be using a different notation.
  11. I think what she's saying is that the reference range is no longer accurate, and not all doctors know that. Mine keeps my TSH at 0.7
  12. Like Cinderella's prince...
  13. Someone once stole my parents' outdoor Christmas lights. Not the strings - they actually unscrewed every bulb and took those.
  14. Could be from vitamin/mineral deficiencies, but what are those from? My hair had started turning unexpectedly gray. When I went gluten-free, the new stuff began coming in in my normal color. The gray I had before I started down this road stayed ( ). Brain fog is really common, as are sleep disorders. I couldn't sleep, others have said they slept...
  15. That is a seriously cute puppy. I'm way too allergic to dogs to ever have one, but I love playing with other people's.
  16. BF, if you're worried about porous bone issues because of lack of calcium you might try to get a DEXA scan to check bone density.
  17. I like this one Open Original Shared Link
  18. Depends on the person. Anywhere from ~20 hours to several days. generally the more liquid the quicker it went through.
  19. Can you make those tassels spin?
  20. Sorry you're feeling bad Elizabeth. Could you just get a cheap skirt with an elastic waistband so you could make an appearance at the party, even if you don't stay long?
  21. Has this been posted yet? Forty-one percent of hiring managers said they have received unusual or suspicious sick-day alibis. When asked to share the most unusual excuses workers gave for missing work, hiring managers revealed some of their favorite alibis: 1. Employee was poisoned by his mother-in-law. 2. A buffalo escaped from the game reserve...
  22. Thanks penguin. I would never have guessed it.
  23. I just don't understand why a doctor would care what we eat. What difference does it make in anything they would do?
  24. In FireFox, try hitting "Ctrl +"
