I saw last night's episode and the previews for next week. I doubt celiac will be mentionned more then once or twice. I'm thinking House might write it on his board as a current disease that either the mom or the baby has already.

Anxious to see it though.

It will be interesting to see how it ties in. I don't think celiac will be a major part of the plot though. Some of the symptoms described in the Fox link could be celiac, but this statement wouldn't make sense if it was celiac:
"Kara’s husband learns some shocking information about his wife and struggles to deal with his newfound emotions towards her. "

I know--the more I find out, the more I think Celiac will be a sideline. But, we'll wait and see--any mention is better than none at all!

I also saw preview and was wondering how they are going to tie celiac disease to this womans problems. Although with all the reading I've done I know some people do get seizures. I do hope this show is good. I for one will be Tivo'g it so I can watch again.

Actually, I bet this stie will get hammered. Every here should be ready for it... IF celiac disease is the star of the show, then ppl will hope online, and guess what site comes up first in google..... I feel for the moderators! :huh::blink:

Hey all, just checked on the time in my neck of the woods, and the summary says this (on tvguide.com site)

"A mother almost drowns her newborn son when she has a seizure while bathing him, but that's not what's causing his serious illness. And the mother's "seizure" turns out not to be a seizure at all. Meanwhile, Chase begins working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; Cuddy and Wilson have dinner together; and Foreman's back at work, though his mental acuity isn't all the way back."

So........hm.......maybe she has celiac? Tune in to find out! LOL! I will :D

      Welcome to the forum, @Dema! The current recommendations for the "gluten challenge" leading up to the day of testing are the daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten (about the amount found in 4-6 slices of wheat bread) daily for at least two weeks. I hope this helps you in your decision. This information represents more recently updated guidelines...

I think I have a high likelihood of having celiac and will please Gd have a blood test in 2 days time confirming this. over the past two weeks I’ve been on and off (to max 5 days) gluten to cope with my symptoms however now I can see online that I’m supposed to be having 2 servings of gluten every day for 6 weeks, which isn’t even my no...

      WOW WOW WOW, your site did it for me: like this, i saw the ads for GliadinX and followed the product. There were several knockoffs. my engineer friend seperated them and found one at the local CVS at a bargain price. So yesterday I tried it. Twice. Lunch and dinner. works fine. Much obliged,

      @jeffpine, please realize that GliadinX is not designed to allow you to eat large amounts of gluten without celiac repercussions. It is designed to counteract cross contamination situations where you might be exposed to small amounts of gluten accidentally such as you might get in a restaurant when you order something that should be gluten free but it is cooked on the same grill with stuff that has wheat. Also remember that the absence of noticeable uncomfortable reactions doesn't necessarily equate to no damage happening to the small bowel lining.

      Hi everyone :). I have learned so much thanks to this website.I wasn't properly told of my celiac disease which was confirmed by colonoscopy and endoscopy in 1994 the same year I gave birth to my first son, my tolerance level was horrible. After being diagnosed and staying away from wheat continued problems. My chiropractor at the time in 2007 had my blood work sent off and turns out I have more food allergies. I told my primary of my celiac disease in 2000 and continued to see that doctor up until May if this year 2025 considering my celiac disease was ignored, disregarded and what Im currently going through and been through. I assumed my celiac disease was " registered " at the time in 1994 just as pregnancy and other ailments are reported. I was shocked to learn that its not a mandated reportable disease not documented by the state from hospitals which I for one think it should be considering all the medical gaslighting im dealing with which is causing depression. Im told not worry about other, well I am and its NOT right.It needs to be documented so others don't suffer and go through this nightmare. Im seriously ready to go down to the mayors office and make some noise. Thoughts?
