i survived my first 'date' in about 12 years (unless you count Rachelle and Jesse). It was a very weird experience.

Hmm... . .. . . . ..a weird experience. This could indicate SO many things. Were you singing together? Does he have spots on his face? Was he wearing a brassiere, and begin to ask you about yours??

WHAT??

Let's see the pic, Geena!... . . . . . ... Er, Jyaghnutte!

he's a nice guy. Tries to avoid grain because he thinks humans aren't meant to eat it. Is much better at conversation than I am. It's just odd to casually meet up and talk to someone when you have all the "potential" choosing your words for you. A lot like job interviews, really, but with a less lucrative, albeit more enjoyable, outcome if it all works well.

i think I made him nervous, and he didn't even know that my panties were too big so I had attached them to my skirt with binder clips.

Well, some things should be left for the second date.

If there is a second date, maybe invest in a 6 pack of panties at Walmart that fit? :P

  These are pre-weightlifting smallclothes. I've lost several inches on my hips and lots of my underpinnings don't fit. But these are cute red with black polka dots and black lace trim and I hate the thought of tossing them. but I guess if they won't stay up at all on their own it may be time.

My teen boys always ask what we talk about on here. I tell them we exchange recipes and restuarants. They would be horrified to know the truth! ;)

Jess, this local shop has a "Panties of the Month Club". One of the owners is on the Bravo show "Work of Art" and doing well ( hasn't been eliminated last I saw).

Well, how well did you get to know this guy? Don't toss them yet -- if he's interested, they may fit him..... . . . ..

Are his hips bigger than yours?

Hey psills! I'm on the North Jersey tour for the weekend :P We're looking at areas, apartments, etc. Gawd--I phorgot how wonderfully gritty it is up here. I pheel so comfortable. From almost everywhere we've been so far, I can see the Empire State Building out the car window from across the river.

Right now we're at a Starbucks in Clifton using the internet and getting some much needed caffeine.

Now if me hips could be a phew inches smaller I'd really be in business :D

Ferget the size of his hips -- we still haven't heard about the thumbs

Jestgar Rising Star

Crap.. I forgot to look at the thumbs. Sorry guys, I'll do better next time.

Do better as in . . . get us a picture of said thumbs!!! . . . Just let him know that you have some phriends that want to see his thumbs . . . Use it as a way to introduce us to him . . . you can't keep us a secret, you know.

Jestgar Rising Star

Well, my next 'date' is 20 years older than the last guy. We're doing coffee so thumbs should be visible at all times.

Be interesting to see the effects of dairy reintroduction with gluten. As well as milk protein sensitivity in and of itself the casein part particularly has been shown to mimic gluten in about 50% of celiacs. Keep us posted!

She has been dairy free for six years, so she’d already been dairy free for two years at her last testing and was dairy free for the entire gluten challenge this year as well (that had positive results). However, now that we’re doing another biopsy in six weeks, we decided to do everything we can to try to “see” the effects, so we decided this past week to add back in dairy temporarily for breakfast (milk and cereal combo like you said).

Hi Christiana, Many thanks for your response.  Interestingly, I too cannot eat wheat in France without feeling effects (much less than in the US, but won't indulge nonetheless).  I also understand children are screened for celiac in Italy prior to starting their education. Wise idea as it seems my grandson has the beginning symptoms (several celiacs in his dad's family), but parents continue to think he's just being difficult.  Argh.  There's a test I took that diagnosed gluten sensitivity in 2014 via Entero Labs, and am planning on having done again.  Truth be told, I'm hoping it's the bromine/additives/preservatives as I miss breads and pastas terribly when home here in the states!  Be well and here's to our guts healing ❤️

Lol that’s so true! Hope you get clarity, it’s tough when there’s doubt. There’s so much known about celiac disease with all the scientific research that’s been done so far yet practically and clinically there’s also so much unknown, still. Out of curiosity what’s her dairy consumption like? Even compared to early years to now? Has that changed? Calcium is dependent in the mechanism of antigen presenting cells in the gut. High calcium foods with gluten grains can initiate inflammation greater.  This is why breakfast cereals and milk combo long term can be a ticking time bomb for genetically susceptible celiacs (not a scientific statement by any means but my current personal opinion based on reasoning at present). Milk and wheat are the top culprits for food sensitivity. Especially in childhood. There are also patient cases of antibodies normalising in celiac children who had milk protein intolerance/ delayed type allergy. Some asymptomatic. There were a couple of cases of suspected celiacs that turned out to have milk protein intolerance that normalised antibodies on a gluten containing diet. Then there were others that only normalised antibodies once gluten and milk was eliminated. Milk kept the antibodies positive. Celiac disease is complicated to say the least.

And thank you for your encouragement. I am glad that her body is doing a good job fighting it. I also just want clarity for her moving forwards. She was only 6 for the last round of testing and she's 10 now, so I'm also hoping that makes a difference. It was weird during her last round of testing though, because right before her biopsy, we'd upped her gluten intake by giving her biscuits made from straight up vital wheat gluten, and her labs actually normalized slightly (lower ttg and her ema went negative). Bodies just do weird things sometimes! lol
