Well, he has tiled his bathroom, so he does know how to put his thumbs to good use, which is the most important thing after all.

Is talking about home remodel projects another thing on the 'not to do' list for dating?

I need an instruction manual.....

I think it's a good topic of conversation. If you both have it in common. Guys like to talk about stuff like that. Better than potty issues, parasites, and Yetis. :)

No way. Discussing these matters is a good thing. Manouvering the bloke into coming over to help you put up your drywall and rip up your linoleum - - THAT is superb.

POeter! How did this happen?

Hey, it had nothing to do with me.. . . .no official Castration Edicts in effect, I can assure you... ...

Cannot believe my luck. :) As I was treading water in the gym pool this morning, my old friend Doreen floated over to me and asked if I would like FREE tickets and a parking pass to this show tonight:

http://www2.scotiabankplace.com/eng/events/redirect.cfm?sectionID=sbpCapTicksEventInfo.cfm&eventID=571

Seems her daughter-in-law is a nurse, got two tickets as a gift from a patient, and has no desire to go.

Wow. We is going!

Gee, I may pop by fer a suit of armoUr and a couple chandielers :P Pseriously, yesterday we actually saw Danielle's house. I had seen the real estate ad posted on another board, and we happened to be driving through Wayne (Mark's office is there) and I saw a street name that I thought looked familiar--sure enough when I made Mark double back and drive up the street  --there it was....all overgrown and still for sale. Deserted looking, and someone had toilet papered the front lawn

I have balls again.

Wow....didja miss 'em? :P

Floor is done! Ok, I have one tile left, but I ran out of mortar, and I still have to grout, but at least now the cabinets can go in.

Don't think I told you that we had electrical issues at the show on Saturday, and at one point all the lights on stage went out. I turned the house lights on, and the director (with two bad hips) climbed the little bunk bed ladder to get up into the lighting booth.

Someone called the (truly awesome)kid who did the lighting design, since he had been in that high school two years earlier, and he showed up and started unplugging things.

Turns out that since the drama department got a new adviser, who has no interest in drama, nothing is taken care of. The dimmers, which are like the biggest circuits you've ever seen, were covered in dust, and the heat and humidity were causing them to arc, short circuiting the lights. We made it to intermission and he pulled them out and blew the dust off each one. No more issues.

After the show they got a small air compressor and he cleaned each one carefully (all the time muttering about "those kids not taking care of things") and yesterday it all went well. I guess cleaning the dimmer board is one more thing we need to add to our move-in check list when we do a show.

The other exciting thing is that I happened to look at the electrical hookup for the sound system (which we don't use, we have our own) OMG! It's like one of those definitions of really bad things - about 100 cords and plugs all tangled together with multiple power strips and some random tape thrown in. Zoiks! It's amazing those unsupervised kids haven't burned down the building.

Hey, I noticed that there are a couple of Chippendales arm chairs and oversized candle holders on this list. Do some Chippendales Men come installed in these chairs? B)

Pics, puleeeeeze!

Unfortunately, I'll bet this is an item that could also be added to our List of Things to Discuss on a Date...... . ... . ..

I made 15 Jedi costumes yesterday and baked and froze 7 cakes!! 3 cakes for the Stormtrooper cake and 4 cakes for DD's masterpiece on the following weekend. Now I have to make 15 lightsabers out of pool noodles... I'm tired just thinking about this week, but excited! Should be lotsa fun!!

Crap.. I forgot to look at the thumbs. Sorry guys, I'll do better next time.

Next time wif this guy or you referring to the next guy... You hussy you ;)

Well, my next 'date' is 20 years older than the last guy. We're doing coffee so thumbs should be visible at all times.

You never know . . . he could have the thumbs of a 20 yr old.

Also keep in mind that the guys wif the smaller thumbs may put forth much more effort to ensure productivity...

I think it's a good topic of conversation. If you both have it in common. Guys like to talk about stuff like that. Better than potty issues, parasites, and Yetis. :)

I find guys think it's sexy and impressive when you know things about home improvement, cars and sports!

.. ..oh wait......are we calling them schnauzers, now?

Whaaaaaaaaat?!?!?!
