Just stopping in with a quick hello full of love & positive energy. Slowly but surely I'm getting back to my own wacky ways. I've been cooking using my crockpot. Hard to accept that the easy things are no longer easy but I do feel blessed to be able to do these things at all. Simple things - like food shopping (but still not alone due to falling). Superman and I started watching Game of Thrones (Tony recomended it and we love it). Tony's taking Rob to a Springsteen concert over break.Tony didn't think I'd be able to handle a 6-7 hour car ride each way. Rob's taking me to see Joan Osbourne in April. BTW please forgive all the errors I haven't recovered from the two mini-strokes yet. I'll be damned if I let anything else keep me down.

Time to eat the yummy pot roast I made yesterday. It was the first day I drove I hit the same fence twice-no damage done(Rob drove the rest of that day).

Remember the warm weather is coming and the beach beckons (as does room in our house!

All my Love,

Loey

P.S. We'll be in NJ for a few days starting with July 7th. Rob's going to a concert (Roger Waters) with a high school friend and I'm sleeping at a close girlfriends house that night. We'll have a free day or two before or after that.

Hi Lo!

Trying to type while Hub is driving us back from Colorado. Roads are bumpy.

Glad you are feeling better. I love to crockpot cook. Maybe you should continue to use a chauffer for a while. Your fences and your neighbors fences will thank you.

Just watched (on TV) the Volvo Ocean Race fleet set sail out of Auckland, heading for the Southern Ocean, sailing through mountainous seas, dodging icebergs while tearing along at 30 knots in roaring gales to round Cape Horn and hopefully make it in one piece to Brazil in four weeks' time  And all the time freezing cold, snatching two hours' sleep here and there, eating semi-warm freeze-dried food with a bunch of smelly unwashed blokes, and pooping in a bucket. Doesn't that sound like your idea of a wonderful sailing vacation? Oh, by the way, did I mention, it takes half an hour to get out of your foul-weather gear, and another half-hour to get back in it??

Just watched the news feed on this. That is just amazing - and those people are crazy...

Sounds like a Boy Scout adventure!

Well, yes, I think they are all boys who have never really grown up  Although I would say it takes some meatballs to do that. The skipper of our Kiwi America's Cup team was smart enough to jump off the boat before they left the gulf  That's all right, though - he was supposed to :D But our backup helmsman is on board Camper. Before I went to bed last night one boat had already returned to port with damage :o

We haven't been too funny lately! I don't really have anything Ha! Ha! funny- just odd funny?

FIL and his wife have been back in town (about 2 miles from us) for a week now. This is after 2 years in Germany. Haven't heard from them. Of course, when they lived in town before, we only saw them once or twice a year. This is OK with me.

They refuse to give people working on thier house a phone number. So the plumber who needs to call & say he's running late calls our house because we have a "listed" phone number. I always tell them we don't need thier services.

Was wondering about that. Maybe she will go wherever my in- laws are. Still haven't heard from them. I'm sure they will call when they need something done for them.

If you want their visit to be shorter make plans for your kids to take them a loud rock that your kids could want to see

BTW I'm trying to attach a picture that Tony took before tour cruise (if the former tech geek is trying to r regain any of my previous skills). My cognitive skills haven't returned 100%. Superman and Clark Kent really wanted to do something nice for his parents but Tony knew I wasn't ready for the trip t though these changes wouldn't kick in until he was a senior. They almost didn't o to see TheBoss but I refused to bethe reason because I took two really Just the thought was more than enough

Typing this is making me really making me really tired. Tony & Rob came home today so I I'll be long.I

I'ved missed you all so much!

XOXO

Good to see you Loey!

Tomorrow I am riding on a nice (I hope) coach bus to Oklahoma City for a robotics competition. Trying to figure how to pack my food and enough wine to get through this - its for medicinal purposes. :D

Will be out of touch for a while tomorrow, Internet- wise, as well as mentally. Unfortunately, this has not been a good year for our robotics program. For 4 years, we had the same main builder & programmer/ digital electronics guys....they decide to graduate & go to college. On a happy note, said builder's team at college that he mentored did really well and placed second last weekend. That's my boy! :D

Jestgar Rising Star

Drat those graduating kids! They should know better than to desert the rest of the team. Unless they choose to dessert them, then it's ok.

Robotics competition! Yay! Kherrighnnne's our current robot/hockey/soccer mom... .

We've got the same talent-scattering thing going on with Jack's high school musical troupe. For the past three or four years the productions have been truly unbelievable, and garnered national attention and a record number of Cappie Awards. A bunch of the most talented actors and singers graduated last year, and many other superb talents will be gone this June.

I've told Jack that this provides him with a fantastic opportunity.. . ..he can move up to centre stage, now, with fewer unbeatable talents dominating, and really let fly.

And he looked at me like this

And then this <_<

And this , only with a slight frown.. .. ..... rather like a cross between <_< and , methinks. . . ....

If we ever need evidentiary substance in a demand for 3x the number of smilies, that's it.

Geez I'm reluctant to hit Enter for new line . . . Uhhh zzzzzzzz

Yes, we've had quite the history of protest in regards to the 20 allowable emoticons 'round here....Occupy Psilly Street 2009...Man, we camped out on here, made screaming virtual signs and placards. I was SO proud to have been part of that 99% -- C.com members who needed more than the alloted 20 smilies, and who just WEREN'T GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!!

I know. .. . ... . .that's such a dumb thing over in fb land....will never get used to it....

Heheheehee I commend your enthusiasm Emmers, but I meant to speak more of add'l smilie options, capturing the nuance of 2 parts ^_^ , 1 part ;) & a splash of  .

Thought of your not-so-lil-anymore goalie when espn guy used "standing on his head" during replays. :D

Tomorrow I am riding on a nice (I hope) coach bus to Oklahoma City for a robotics competition.

How was the ride? HS robotics gets great pub here in silicon valley of course. Cool stuff & seems the kids would learn so much on topics not well-served just sitting in class, like living thru design vs. engr'g tradeoffs. (& can't hurt to get in good w/ our future electronic bio-mechanical overlords!):wacko:

Bus ride went well. Really a different trip than with a HS boys sports team! These kids will actually chat and include adults in thier conversations and activities. Way to smart tho! :)

Is the competition all weekend, Kherrighnne? I shall be checking fb for pics.. . ..good luck to the guys! B):)

Well, yes....we do need more facial expressions at our disposal.... . ...and this, then, would require a maximum quota of about FIFTY smilies per post.

When I suggested to Jack that he may soon be able to get a more leading role in the musicals, his face was one of shock, fear, and like he might die. Rather like this:

 Hanh! Sophie really did almost do this during a number of games....

Robots bit doing too well. It gets a little better each match. Too bad we only get 10..... By 19 or 20 it would be great.

I'm sitting in my hotel room going to have a nice chicken taco salad I brought from home. Everyone else went to Spaghetti Wharehouse. We are imaging the food is spaghetti is served by a fork lift or assembly line

mushroom Proficient

Glad the robotics is going well, even without the genius graduated class. Spaghetti Wharehouse sounds like the meal from hell

We are rolling into fall here with reds starting to show in the trees,go off daylight savings tonight - five hours time difference between there and here  so you willl see even less of me. Hope no one has any phluid problems in the next day or sa because I just clicked over a big number which we all know does not augur welll

Have a great weekend, everyone.

I keep reading the way you guys are writing "wHarehouse" and momentarily reading "spaghetti whorehouse". Now this would be something. Do they have any of these establishments in Italy?

Do the front clerks hand out bibs to the clientele?....

Excellent. I should think that eighteen year-old boys would, in fact, be all for the bus really going to one of these establishments.... .

For the spaghetti, of course.. . . . .. . . ...

Thank you that’s really helpful, hopeful won’t have to have a biopsy.
    • RMJ
That means the normal range (i.e. not celiac disease) would be a result less than 14.99.  Your result is WAY above that. Some gastroenterologists would diagnose that as celiac disease even without a confirming biopsy because it is more than ten times the top of the normal range.

Hi everyone. Back in 2022 I had blood work drawn for iga ext gliadin. Since then I’ve developed worse stomach issues and all other health issues. My doctor just said cut out gluten. He did no further testing. Please see my test results attached. I just need some direction cause I feel so ill and the stomach pain is becoming worse. Can this test show indications for other gastrointestinal diseases?
    • Fayeb23
Thank you. These were the results TTG ABS NUMERICAL: > 250.0 U/mL [< 14.99]  Really don’t understand the results!

Clearly from what you've said the info on Dailymed is much more up to date than the other site, which hasn't been updated since 2017. The fact that some companies might be repackaging drugs does not mean the info on the ingredients is not correct.
