Sanjaya second?!?!?!? Ugh... I will be so po'd if that happens!!! Though I agree that Blake should win. He's awesome. I haven't really enjoyed him the past two weeks though. Been kind of bored with him, but I'm sure he'll step up his game soon. The last two weeks have just been really boring mostly cuz of the songs they had to choose from.

Anybody know what songs will be next week?

I agree it was boring last night, I had a hard time paying attention. My husband loved it because he's a Tony Bennet fan. I'll have to play him and Frank Senatra whenever I'm making a big Italian meal.

I agree Guhlia that Blake was not his best the last two performances. He has such a big following that he can get by with it though. He has a velvet voice but not a big range. He'll tend to sing safe songs and compensate with his moves. But he's cute. Phil Stacey has a better voice yeah but he doesn't play to the audience. Not even to the judges and I think that's what Randy J was trying to say last night. I mean singing to your wife please, you have to make the audience believe your the one who's being sung to. Sung or Sang whatever.

Melinda is such a good singer but the minute she stops she just looks like a insecure child. The opposite with Lakisa she scares me. She looks like she could stare holes in you. I hope she goes soon. They're not saying it but I think she's hard to get along with. Notice that she never takes advice from any of the guest singers? Last night she did it her way instead of Tony's advice. He told her to hit the big note and end it and she went ahead and did the little do hickey thing.

Jordin and Gina were good. I like em both. I still think Jordin will do better... just thinking about all the other rockers in the past they always get voted out right toward the end. What was he's name (Chris?) last year he was better then Gina but people voted for Taylor Hicks. (doesn't matter anyway because Kathrine Mcphee out sells Taylor in C.D. sales)

The worse of the performances goes to Haley though. Her voice is bad she doesn't move well. She was all jerky last night and made a funny face. She's gotta go. I think Chris and Phil will be on the bottom also. It depends on if Sanjaya is getting symphony votes or is getting the votes from the worst singer campaign going on, but the judges purposely didn't say anything last night just so he wouldn't get the symphony vote.

Another week of Sanjya. When is America going to get it RIGHT?

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I am soo mad Gina went home! It almost makes me not want to watch next week.

Jo.R Contributor

If Blake goes before the final two, I'll be done. I can't believe how odd this year is. Many of the singers aren't that great, those who are, are boring. And the worst singer, (how did he make the cut in the first place) is still there. <_< I don't get it.

I was talking to my coworker tonight when they showed Gina in the bottom 3. She said if Gina got voted off then she was done watching.

I was suprised too that Gina got cut. I thought for sure it would be Haley with the two of them standing there. I thought last night was one of Gina's strongest performances. I especially can't believe that Chris R., Haley, and Sanjaya beat her out. That's just SO not cool. But... I guess I'm happy because Blake and Melinda are still there. If Blake gets cut I'll probably stop watching. It just wouldn't be a good show without him. Every year though I get really mad when someone good gets cut way too early. It happens every single season though. Hopefully America will get it right after watching Gina go home so early when she should have made it to the top 5.

Well last night i was watching a program before american idol came on, and they were talking to carmen, from a previous season(i cant remember which one) and she thinks that fox does something to lines so people can get threw for the ones that they want to vote for. They also said they want to kep sanjaya aroung cause simon said if sanjaya won he would leave american idol, plus they said they keep sanjaya around cause everyone is talking about how bad he is so, so their ratings are up.

I really dont think i will watch next week, I think i will take my time at the kids soccer practice so im not even home when i get back. I was so mad gina went home. At this rate i bet lakisha, melnda, jordin or blake will go home next week.

I'm so ticked off right now!

On the radio this morning, they were talking about the show last night. They think Gina got cut because America is not ready for an Idol with a tongue ring. What does that have to do with her talent?

dlp252 Apprentice

Yep, I may be done with it. I haven't been watching the results shows anyway. I may not watch again until the final show, lol. I am kind of shocked that Gina went home though.

Guhlia Rising Star

I'm actually not very surprised that Gina went home. There's always a really good person that gets voted off early. This year it was Gina. It's sad, but this is generally the turnaround point for voting. From now on things shouldn't be nearly as weird with vote-offs and such. At least, that's generally the way it works.

My kids didn't even want to watch last night. They looked online to find out who got cut before it even came on here. Gina wasn't my favorite, but she's WAY better than Haley, Phil, Sanjaya or Chris. My kids don't even bother to vote anymore because they think it's rigged too.

i noticed their were a few dirty looks shot twords sanjiya last night, wonder what life in the house is for him i dont imagine the others like him much! i enjoy lakisha to much to not watch any more but my god he's got to go!

I actually didn't watch the show on Tuesday night because I just don't enjoy that music. I saw enough on the clips last night. I just went to that website (votefortheworst.com). It's not that Gina was my favorite, it's that Sanjaya is STILL there that bugs me. I'm not sure what I"ll do next week. BUT, I know I won't watch next season!

I don't understand the people who are angry about Sanjaya. I guess it could be similar to the way I was reacting to Jasmine Treas several years ago. I couldn't understand why she was not voted off. Then when I heard about most of Hawaii voting for her, I understood. I stopped being mad. I figured they'd never have a Hawaiian singer on the show again. So far, seems I'm right. Now, they have vote for the worst. Why isn't everyone pointing their fingers at the three judges who are responsible for Sanjaya even being on the show? It's their fault. They chose him. And you can see how votefortheworst.com is correct in saying that the judges put in singers who are not all that good, but will add a dimension of spectacle to the show. They are reeping what they sow, as it were. To see it this way, you can understand the added insult that the judges know a good singer- Melinda- and just want her competition to be so far below her ability that she simply MUST win. Well, I hate to be manipulated. I want entertainment. Stacking the deck against all other weaker contestants by putting in only one or two true singers, means I'm being manipulated to allow only one person to really win. That's not entertainment. Now, when I see the problem, agree with votefortheworst, stop blaming the voting audience and put the blame on the judges- They are really involved in CHEATING when they pit Sanjaya against MELINDA- I vote for Sanjaya and LAUGH and LAUGH==== Now THAT'S entertainment!

It IS rigged... by the judges. They are the ones who put Sanjaya up against the quality singers such as MELINDA. My children and I are enjoying this season more than any other out there. Teach your children the power of voting and not to be manipulated by three over-paid, marginally talented "judges". If votefortheworst and the idea of pushing ahead a green singer wasn't promoted, then the judges would have had their winner. The winner they wanted all along.. MELINDA. THAT's cheating!

I was upset last night that Gina got booted. I loved her spirit, she really loved being there. Her video at the end made me tear up. I know this happens every year so hopefully this is the one big surprise. I'll stop watching it when Sanjaya stays before anyone else that were in the top two catagories last night. Really that is starting to get to me. I suppose thats what the intention is and I shouldn't let it bother me.

Hopefully next week the song choice will be better.

Of all the seasons, this is my favorite.

Simon, Paula, & Randy put Sanjaya there. It's their fault if he wins and ruins the American Idol Show.

I think Hayley should have gone home instead of Gina. I read that the producers told her to remove the tongue piercing or she would loose the mid-America vote. I guess they were right.

It is becoming so difficult to watch one of my favorite shows. I just hope America gets it right and sends Sanjaya home next week. I can't stand to see a more talented person go home instead.

Guhlia Rising Star

Is there something wrong with tongue piercing in some areas? I've had my tongue pierced for almost 10 years and it's very common where I'm from.

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I see nothing wrong with tongue rings. I don't have one but that it is for different reasons.

BTW, I did like Sanjaya in the beginning and I did think he had talent...once we got into the actual competiton he just never did anything to tickle my fancy.

Even Phil as much as I do like some of his songs, he needed to go home. Haley is getting votes for the body and the legs she is constantly showing off. The last few weeks her dresses got shorter and skimpier...and Simon just stared.

I am still ticked about Gina...

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.

Your post demonstrates the profound frustration and isolation that so many in the Celiac community feel, and I want to thank you for channeling that experience into advocacy. The medical gaslighting you endured for decades is an unacceptable and, sadly, a common story, and the fact that you now have to "school" your own GI specialist speaks volumes about the critical lack of consistent and updated education. Your idea to make Celiac Disease a reportable condition to public health authorities is a compelling and strategic one. This single action would force the system to formally acknowledge the prevalence and seriousness of the disease, creating a concrete dataset that could drive better research funding, shape medical school curricula, and validate the patient experience in a way that individual stories alone often cannot. It is an uphill battle, but contacting representatives, as you have done with Adam Gray, is exactly how change begins. By framing it as a public health necessity—a matter of patient safety and protection from misdiagnosis and neglect—you are building a powerful case. Your voice and your perseverance, forged through thirty years of struggle, are exactly what this community needs to ensure that no one else has to fight so hard just to be believed and properly cared for.

I had no idea there is a "Louisville" in Colorado!😉 I thought it was a typo because I always think of the Kentucky city--but good luck!
