  1. my fave also are nature's path. they are great! you can buy them at amazon .com also...big bag great value!
  2. yes there are safe ones. i don't know if you have a walmart (not familiar w/ canada grocery stores), but they clearly label their brand things as gluten-free, and their soy sauce is. i think what you need to look for in soy sauce is a malt or carmel something or other...someone else will probably be able to let you know....
  3. This is what I ususally do. I've eaten at OG before, and felt okay afterward. I went with my mom, and we had the regular italian salad, I just asked for no crutons, except for on a plate for my mom. I also had salmon I think, and it was great. I've also been to Macaroni Grill (similar), and the management there said basically anything grilled there is okay...
  4. the key is to drop it! the sooner the better! just get it all out of your house. throw it away or give it to a friend. it's easier once you get the gluten out of the house. Then you just have to restock your house good luck!
  5. sad that you had a bad experience. I actually quite like the spinach and feta pizza...although i added lots of toppings to mine. the crust is kind of weird...a little too starchy i think. do you ever make your own pizza crusts? i have found that to be the best way to have a pizza! www.eatingglutenfree.com i think has a pizza crust recipe...if not, search...
  6. yeah i believe the gluten-free ones say gluten-free on the front. i think the other ones are flavored w/ malt (of course)...i accidently picked some up once
  7. lol did you see the pic on his webpage? it looks soooo good! i have never had pumpkin rolls before...when i get a free minute i'm definitely trying this recipe! tell me how it goes for you
  8. Glad you're here marie! by the way, i love the pic very cute!
  9. yes, erwhon (sp?) makes rice crispies. be careful b/c they make gluten-free and regular ones, be sure to get the gluten-free ones. I really like them. I also like New Morning's cocoa crispies. Not too sweet. I like to mix them with the regular ones, and eat them like that. making them into treats like that is good too!
  10. hm, i don't know about red mill, but i also have had pamela's pancake mix made into crepes, and they were amazing! just like the real thing (from what I remember...) does it say gluten free? if so, you should be okay. good luck!
  11. dionnek thx for the potato ideas! i'm gonna try that cream cheese and broccoli mix tonight! sounds very yummy
  12. mmm, this looks so great! i have felt frustrated often by my lack of ice cream maker...lol i'm gonna give this a try!
  13. here's a link to one that i really wanted to try, but haven't yet!
  14. Our costco also carries the cereal. My favorite thing to grab at costco is a big bag of almonds! I love them! I also saw Amy's frozen dinners at costco, but I don't get those anymore since getting sick. I'm trying to think but can't remember anything else...lol sorry
  15. I'm feelin' the pain! Although my thanksgiving meal was a big hit (it was only me and dh), the rest of the weekend sucked. And this week isn't shaping up to be much better! Invites to work parties, school bake sales, etc. So much temptation! Going out to eat is hardest for me. We always have had our date nights, and all the places he loves to go I can eat...
  16. What kind of casseroles do you make? I'd love some ideas/recipes! I haven't had a good casserole in awhile! Ursula - how sad for you growing up in a kitchen like that! My parents always encouraged us to cook, and my sister and I LOVED to as children. We always got in trouble though, cuz cleaning wasn't high on our priority list But I love to cook...

    ARCHIVED Biaggi's

    where is it?
  18. I second that! Try eating veggies and meat. Rice is very good too. You can make a soup - like chicken and rice, or a beef stew. Soups are very filling and easy comfort foods. When I was first diagnosed, I tried to eat very little fat, and cut out dairy completely (it was so hard!). I ate chicken and rice nearly every day. As far as a dairy replacement, I...
  19. lol i've had many both near and total disasters! bread has been a tough one for me...made lots of rocks, and lots of rocks with goo in the middle! then there was the time i tried to make a pizza crust and used corn meal instead of corn starch...yeah, that was gross! um, just the other day when i was making my Thanksgiving desserts, I was making lemon curd...
  20. rice crispies! the gluten-free kind of course. and i love "New Morning" brand cocoa crispies. i also get tortilla chips and potatoes almost every time i go to the store!
  21. i don't know about dh specifically, but i have seen a huge difference in people with scarring using a specific oil and cream. It is from a company called Lame Advertisement, which is a botanical health and wellness company. Their products are great! Don't mean to sound like an ad, but I've seen significant improvement in my own scars, and have heard from...
  22. just be careful with Walmart's GV koolaid...it says it on the package, but it's not gluten free. which sucks for us cheapies!
  23. yes, epicurious.com. sorry about that i like to use lowfat dairy products, like sour cream and cream cheese. i also like to flavor things with spices and salsa to substitute fatty flavors. like in a taco salad, i'll use a dab of sour cream and lots of salsa instead of ranch like i used to.
  24. mmm, good foods! i can't wait to try them both. i don't have anything to make hamburger bun shapes...can I just form the dough into a circular shape and bake it liek that? will it work? i've tried kinnickinnick's buns, and they're okay, kinda grainy and fall apart easily.
  25. this sounds delish! i'll have to give it a try!
