  1. Since I had leftovers from yesterday, we had this again for dinner (cleaning out the refrig for turkey). I added some water and dropped in some dumplings (from Grandma Ferdon's). It was just as excellent as a leftover. This will be great with leftover turkey!
  2. Jenny-O has some that are gluten free. Is this what you would like: Open Original Shared Link
  3. Turducken (a turkey, a chicken and a duck all deboned and wrapped together with dressing) Aunt Ruth
  4. Mrs. Meyers Clean Day are gluten free, not sure about the coconut. Call them, they have the best customer service people. When I called they even talked to the chemist who even called me. Open Original Shared Link
  5. Red Bridge. Light color, very clear, clean and alive. Carbonation was strong. Bart's. Tried this today. Has a fuller flavor than Red Bridge and the Carbonation seem finer. Has a bitter after taste but not a bad taste. Both my dh and I liked this better than Red Bridge because of the fuller flavor. Both the above beers do lack a depth of flavors. This...
  6. Thanks! Anything I post can be used. I believe the internet postings to be public info so feel free to use it.
  7. Don't blame you! Shower a friend with those products whose isn't gluten free.
  8. Since you are still new to the gluten-free diet, look for how much dairy and soy you are eating. Some people need to avoid these while they heal.
  9. This is such a big step! Don't you just love a success story.
  10. What a fun project, to convince her she should try a gluten free diet.
  11. jensey, I want to thank you for posting about your craving for patty melts. I had forgotten about them. They now are a staple in my house. I've fixed them for company, for dinner, lunch and any other excuse.
  12. If you cut your thigh down to the bone, had stitches, would you pull out the stitches after a few days? No, it would open up, not heal and possibly get infected. Cheating by eating gluten is just like pulling out the stitches.
  13. I love the Kind bars and am very sensitive (oats are a no no, even the gluten free ones). I've never had a problem with them as long as they were the gluten free ones. Some of them are not gluten free. Open Original Shared Link
  14. We just finished this for supper. It is great and very easy to make. I used canned white beans instead of cooking my own. I used leftover chicken. Yes it needs the green chilies, they are not hot. I tossed it all into the crock-pot on high for a few hours. My dd is having seconds. He said this soup is really good, really good! This is from a person who...
  15. You could just explain to people that you have several medical issues that you are trying to control by diet right now and you are under doctors orders to limit a lot of different foods so it's easier to just bring your own. I bring my own food now. I've been glutened too many times. If I go to some one's house that is serving a dinner/brunch I might bring...
  16. This can be served in a crock-pot so it will be hot when served. 2 cans of sliced potatoes, drained and fried until browned in butter Then dump a bag of plain sauerkraut over them (along with the juice) (use canned if you would rather) Add as much chopped leftover turkey as you'd like Heat and serve. May add more butter when serving if desired. ...
  17. I use the Original without problems. I'm so glad it is now stated on their website as being gluten free. Open Original Shared Link
  18. I think this is an excellent example of while doing research on your symptoms is so important. Most of my life I thought I needed thyroid. I had hair falling out, fatigue, dry skin, dry splitting hair, low body temp, low blood pressure and always felt icy cold to my bones. I'd be told my lab results for thyroid were normal. Finally after 35 years I found...
  19. I love eggnog. I do think it's now made too thick so I do thin it with milk or COFFEE. It's great in coffee. Ok, I'm on the way to the store. I've been putting off getting eggnog because I will drink it all in a short time. I'll just put on some coffee to brew while I run to Wal-mart.
  20. I've used crackers and potato chips. Not sure why I'd never tought to use fritos! I love fritos. Just use a gluten free flour in the following recipe. I'll try it on chicken. I love Pioneer Woman's websites. Do not look there if you love food, horses, cowboys or interesting websites. Open Original Shared Link
  21. I do believe there is a group here that reacts to Chex. Make sure you write to Chex to tell them about the problem you are having with Chex. The company, if they receive enough reports will look into the problem.
  22. My dd gave me a compliment the other day. She said she wanted to be as healthy as I look because she wanted her lips to look like they already had lipstick on them. Before going gluten-free I was so pale people would think I was ready to faint. My lips looked just like my skin, no color at all. I am fair skinned so I can really tell how much better I look...
  23. Make sure you email them about your problems with Chex. If they do not hear from us they won't know there is a problem.
