  1. I find it at my local health food store. It is NOT the best pasta. I prefer Bi-Aglut which I order online. If you can tolerate corn I suggest you try to find some. It's pricey but well worth it. It holds it's shape and tastes very much like the real pastas.
  2. If they are not flavored coffee they could be ok. Flavored coffees are Artificially and Naturally Flavored which could contain gluten. You can email or call Godiva asking which of their flavored coffees are gluten free. I think it's wonderful that you are researching this gift for your friend. You are truly a great friend.
  3. Eat before you go, take two or three very yummy items and just enjoy the people instead of making the food the main event. Tell everyone how good everything smells/looks and ask for a few recipes. If asked why you didn't eat something, just say you are having some food issues right now. Those who want to know more will ask and you can explain it to them in...
  4. I agree. I think the problem is the dh. It's not the celiac or the complaining about how you feel, that's just his excuse. Of course we do have to be careful of how much complaining we do. It does have a snowball effect. Instead you could talk about how much better you are feeling than you did last year. Come and complain to us, we don't mind at all because...
  5. Nov 2009 I emailed asking them if their Icing colors were gluten free. Hi! There is no gluten in the product (icing colors) or in the plant. Paula Customer Care Wilton Brands 800-794-5866
  6. I do weekly B12 shots. Never felt shaky or wired after them. Wish I had, could use a little of that feeling. lol I've never heard that you are not absorbing the B12 if your urine is pink. I always was told it was just the body getting rid of the extra B12. Maybe someone else knows about this pink urine relating to absorption problems. B12 can work fast...
  7. I've been gluten free for years but still can't handle the gluten free oats.
  8. Funny how such a little thing can produce such drastic results. I have to watch everything I use also. Burts Bees products are suppose to be pretty good.
  9. I'm going to try your recipe. Mine uses butter so the calories are higher but it is done in the crockpot. Crock Pot Candied Pecans 16 oz pecan halves
  10. I feel your pain and sorrow. Hang in there.
  11. I use olive oil and spices, no tomato for me.
  12. Remember too that when cook gluten items you maybe getting glutened from that especially if it has flour in it. The flour is light, will float in the air and you will breathe it into your system. If you are very sensitive this maybe part of your problem.
  13. Pioneer Woman had a Brie Stuffed Mushroom recipe listed today. Love her. Open Original Shared Link
  14. Yea, they did. I haven't had any for a few years (knocking on wood).
  15. Yes, you have moved on from the loss of gluten to the acceptance that there is still a lot of food out there to eat! It's it wonderful?! I've been gluten free for awhile and I love to cook so I just can't believe people have no idea of what they can eat when they go gluten free. It's not that I do not get frustrated or angry about it but I know I can find...
  16. I've had these spasms. They really really hurt like someone is ripping you in two. I've tried laying a warm towel over my neck and chest with some relieve.
  17. It sounds like you go to mostly large cities that should be able to offer you places to eat fairly safely. Doing research on each city will help you locate restaurants. If you contact the local celiac group in each city they will be able to provide you with excellent choices. I live in a small town (less then 9000). There are a few place to eat and the...
  18. Sound like one of two things, you either picked up a little gluten somewhere which has tossed you down in the dumps or you are passing into another stage of grief/loss. Gaining weight could be a sign that your body is starting to work normal. Your family is not missing out on anything that is necessary in life. They have you and your have them. You can...
  19. If they are still good enough to stuff and bake try this recipe below. Other wise you can slice and fry them with a little butter or oil and soy sauce and garlic. Just serve with meat or over baked potatoes. But the stuffed mushroom recipe is the best if you can have dairy products. Open Original Shared Link
  20. Ok he doesn't think they are celiac. You can tell him I dont think he knows much about celiac. lol Wouldn't you just love to slap him up the side of the face with a full blown out of control case of celiac disease.
  21. Interesting thought. I will be making banana bread this week. Maybe I should make an extra batch and try it as muffins. I just use my aunt's old recipe except using gluten free flour.
  22. I second the drinking water importance. Never was a water drinking but once I started I noticed I felt a lot better. mushroom, Have you thought about a possible hiatal hernia causing your problems at night when you've eaten late?
  23. Under a new topic, with Dr in Pittsburgh, PA as the subject post your doctors names so others in your area will know who to call for an appointment.
  24. I do this too. I just don't believe them the first times. I was asking a butcher if the brats contained wheat or gluten. Without any hesitation he said absolutely not, how many do you want. I kept asking him if he was sure there wasn't any wheat, gluten, bread crumbs or spice mixture in the brats. Finally he got tired of being patience with me and says "lady...
