  1. I noticed this too. Having gone from always sick with something to hardly ever sick is really nice.
  2. In the past I've used any leftover gluten free bread or rolls that I've had in the freezer. I'd save pieces all year long so I'd have enough for my stuffing. It turns out OK but not great, a little heavier than the real thing. This year I'll be using Udi bread so I'm hoping it will be more like the real thing. My Aunt Ruth's Stuffing Recipe 10 slices...
  3. I've been gluten for a while. I gave up dairy for a few months and soy about a year. Then I didn't try to overload my body with dairy or soy on a daily basis for another year. Now I have no problems with dairy or soy. I eat cheese, ice cream and milk/cream daily. Soy products probably a few times a week. I think I probably gave my body time to heal. I avoid...
  4. Both dd and I have scoliosis, both are celiacs.
  5. So I'll take a stamp, a pin and an easy button. And maybe that hardwood baseball bat for anyone that doesn't believe the stamp, pin or button.
  6. I do so love Honeybaked Hams! Thanks for the post! I'll have to email them a huge thanks.
  7. Yes Yes, Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream, unscented. Love the stuff. Be careful, a little goes a long way. I keep it on my bedside table for use every night.
  8. Easy to make Alfredo Sauce Put equal amounts of sour cream and parmesan cheese together (for one serving maybe 1/4 cup each, more if you like lots of sauce). Mix well. As soon as the pasta is drained add them to the mixture and toss together. You can add some lemon juice to the sour cream and cheese mixture (1 tablespoon per serving). Add spices...

  11. Try keeping a detailed food and feelings journal for a few weeks. I think you'll figure out what is bothering you. List all things you use that touch your body and that you eat. You may be one of those people (like me) that has to worry about even the little things in life (like shampoo, soaps and gum).
  12. Laurel, They aren't going to believe your even if it is in your medical record in huge red letters and it's tattooed on your forehead. You know you have it from the tests done and your reactions. It is not important why you can't eat gluten, you know what happens when you do. Stand up for yourself like you stand up for your son. You know you have found...
  13. I use this too. Love it and never have had a problem with it yet (knock on wood). Just had some this past Friday. There is a new warning on it that it might contain traces of wheat.
  14. I think you've just joined the 'sick of dumb doctors' club. lol
  15. I'd just use Pamela's mix for it. I've used it for regular recipes like this and it's always been fine. Going to copy the recipe for my Thanksgiving Notebook. tfs
  16. Some people will never understand why it's so important for us not to have gluten pass by a celiacs lips. Do not fight it. I personally do not expect other households to accommodate my celiac disease. Especially at the holidays. Food plays too big an issue with some families for them to change what they fix. If I decide to attend a holiday dinner out of...
  17. My gall bladder story. I was have pain under the breast bone. Dr decided it must be my gall bladder, had a ultrasound that showed some gall stones. Was scheduled for surgery. I requested a second opinion, as everyone should do before surgery. I went to Mayo Clinic to see a GI specialist. This Mayo doctor was looking my over saying I sure didn't look sick...
