  2. since i have been gluten free, it takes 48 hours before i am feeling all the symptoms of getting glutened. then it takes 2 weeks to get to feeling back to normal good. it feels like a train hit you barty is right - if you can get her tested, it would be a good idea. if she has it, you and her dad should get tested because she got it from one of y...

  4. i usually have a few things that survive through the winter - a giant rosemary bush, sage, thyme <supposed to die every year but i have had one or three that survives longer than that. not this year - mean, old man winter kilt e'erything. i have one tiny parsley plant (?) 6. if you do try a probiotic, don't be alarmed if your guts sound like wwIII is going on in there for a little while, lolz - i was advised to take one and then i got scared when my guts started making all these wierd noises so i stopped taking them. then i found out that it takes a little while for everything to get situated and your gut flora to start repopulating...

  8. yes, yes - also, most of us have had more than our fair share of bacterial infections which doctors prescribed "kill everything" antibiotics, and unfortunately, in killing the bad bacteria, it also kills the good bacteria which is necessary for digestion. i know i was a safe bet to have pneumonia every year, and usually some other ailment. for, like, 3...
  9. it still freaks me out a little that you eat it and also put it on your skin. but handy if you need a snack ? just don't use the stuff you strained back into the jar (because you will smell like shrimp) <no. i didn't do that............... tonight is macaroni & cheese perfect for the end of a busy weekend.
  10. hey, scott did any of your other symptoms clear up? (ugh chest pain would make me so nervous!) it takes awhile to get 'normal' - depending on how long you have gone undiagnosed/how much damage you have to your intestines. your body will start to heal and then absorb nutrients to make your body run smoother. the 'background' headache i had finally...
  11. probiotics are not a scam. if anything is, it's multivitamins <plus, once you are healed enough, your body will absorb the vitamins you need from a healthy, clean, balanced diet. unless you drink a crap ton of alcohol - then your brain will be pickled lolz therefore clouding your judgement. i take probiotics 2x a day, morning and night. it's culturelle...
  12. if she breathes in flour dust, she will probably ingest it from it getting into her mouth. then there is the finger licking (everybody does it) and what not. and then she wouldn't be able to eat what she's made if it was my kid, i would teach her to cook at home. let her take auto shop also very useful to learn about even if she never works on...
  13. probly so we have a sick sense of humor here - i make inappropriate jokes and my husband laughs at them - (and if i ever see a chimp i am running like hell!!!)
  14. yes, you could be having withdrawal symptoms. your body *likes* gluten. so, when you take away gluten, your body throws a little hissy fit. just rest, drink lots of water, nice hot showers worked for me when i was trying to 'detox' from gluten. good luck!

  16. sweetie, if you are still using the same toaster, you are basically shooting yourself in the foot. YES, a crumb or something you can't even see CAN start a chain reaction in your body. you need to eliminate ALL gluten from your system, and that includes possibly changing your personal care items such as soaps, shampoos, makeup, etc. you will also want...

  22. my seasonal allergies have cleared, so when i ran out of (generic) zyrtec, i wasn't in any big hurry to get more. but my guts are happier on the antihistimine yes, i have noticed that. i'm not ready to go full on low histaimine diet, although i have considered experimenting with a few (elimination diet) also, if i am having a particularly stressful day...
  23. looking at the label right now: water, soybean oil, high fructose corn syrup, vinegar, modified cornstarch, eggs, salt, natural flavor, mustard flour, potassium sorbate as a preservative, paprika, spice, dried garlic. well, there's 3 of the big 8 (is it 8? lolz) - now, cootiegirl, WHY on God's green earth, would you zoom in right on the poor helpless...
