  3. i was in terrible denial at first. it took me quite a while to admit to myself that i needed to stop eating gluten. it was like a little woodpecker in my brain every time i ate gluten and noticed feeling terrible, that bird was pecking at my denial until i couldn't deny it any longer. but it had to be my own decision (and it was hard to admit!) i think...

  5. i have never seen gluten in jam, but that's why reading the labels is so important. if it's in the product, they have to list it.

  20. me too! why do you think you have gluten sensitivity? celiac wouldn't show in your stomach, it would show in damage to your small intestine. have you had an endoscopy?
  21. here is my 'go-to' tempura batter recipe: 1/4 c. rice flour 1/4 c. tapioca flour 1/4 c. corn starch 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp garlic powder <as much as you like dash of sesame oil plus enough water or club soda to make a thick batter. fry @ 365 degrees - works with shrimp, chicken, fish, etc we tried it with beer, but it made it stick...
