  1. Tiffany, I use both of those my friend and they are gluten-free. I may have a different brand name than you though... ? Also--the best shampoo I've found for myself is sebutone. The pharmacy should sell it, although you may have to request it. I leave it sit on my head for a while. I hate that it is made from coal tar and I'm sure has some lovely carcinogens...
  2. do you mean their spaghetti sauce--if so, yes.
  3. all crest pastes are gluten-free. we use tom's of maine in my house--they are gluten-free except for the orange flavored. you can confirm on their website's gluten-free product list. listerine is gluten-free--not sure about their new whitening one though, i never cked on that.
  4. That is great! I talked to them about a year ago and they said they were working on one! We have two in our city--great food and drinks. PS--I used to live in Langhorne Thanks so much for posting!
  5. ooooo, that would be cool! can't wait to see them!
  6. Lynne-- You're so sweet and silly PS--I never eat 'leftovers' from a potluck. ie. We had one at Christmas, and by the end my salad was dotted with bread crumbs
  7. I'm sorry girl There could be a chance the oats are okay and not harming you, but we can't take the chance I think. Maybe one day the facts will come out and we can... Until then--my favorite cereals (I love cereal too : ) Hot oatmeal/replacement--cream of rice. It is very similar to cream of wheat. I get Erewhon brand. I cook it on the stove, add...
  8. I haven't gone yet, but will be going with a friend soon. Would also love to hear if others go. Am curious of how it would be for my FM muscles.
  9. Yeah, that would rock! (Although I'm not sure what it would taste like )
  10. Soy I can't do. Rice is good. I don't miss milk at all in cereal (just in cheese ). gluten-free/CF rice milks are Pacific, Lundberg, Full Circle, to name a few.
  11. covsooze- yeah, food intolerances are a bit of a sticky issue. in my experience, no one is totally sure what happens internally as a result of them. obvious gluten can cause damage, so can dairy apparently from some studies...but what about rice or pineapple--which were both high on my list? i think as healing continues in my intestines, the leakiness...
  12. Becca- IMO, Please stay away from the oats. For two reasons...1st, oats are typically contaminated here, from processing, milling, many factors. One study found that 3 different brands had gluten contamination most of the time. 2nd, some individuals react to the avenin protein in oats. How does one tell if they are that type of person? It's a tricky...
  13. I definitely freeze. We bought an upright deep freeze a year ago--love it. I freeze muffins, lots of cookies, lots of soups, veggies from the garden, sloppy joes, lasagna, sauces, gravy, homemade sorbet, fruit and berries from summer when they are cheaper, chili, sweet rolls, even egg frittata ! Especially for two people, we don't waste food this way and...
  14. Congrats Lynne! I hope to be a bulb-mom too when dh and I finally buy a house Bet they look pretty!
  15. I've been in this situation many times before. I would bring a dish to the reunion that you can eat, and take from it before others get through the line...b/c contamination can happen at that point. Then bring a few things to supplement that dish. Like if you bring a salad, bring a chicken breast or sandwich and dessert for just yourself. I have 2 coolers...
  16. I also agree with what's been said here. Also, one month gluten-free isn't long enough to see a difference in some individuals... However, I don't think we can consider him truly gluten-free b/c of the work environment. That is hard news I'm sure...switching jobs can be such a hassel, but if it means he becomes healthy as a result, then it is worth it...
  17. I dig rice Thanks for the site!
  18. Interesting... I did Great Plains Labs and spoke to someone from the lab. She said I was one of the most "allergic" people she's ever seen. So... a guess a second test will rule out a faulty sample...but they may find the same results. I was highly allergic to most of the foods on the test. It goes along with a leaky gut, and so many food proteins ending...
  19. Patti's right, its a cross between the two... yuck
  20. I like to take chicken sausage, browned in pieces and combine with veggies (brocolli, peppers, peas, mushrooms, shallots...) and seasoned black beans. ...sometimes with rice or quinoa.
  21. I think its great. As Elonwy said, It isn't totally comprehensive, but I have used it many times when shopping and just the other day is saved my butt over a beverage at a bowling alley Def recommend.
  22. I honestly don't know of another mainstream brand. But, Cherry Brook Farms has a frosting you add butter to... Sorry
  23. So glad you're going on 10 years! You were so young--that must have been hard. We're glad you here with us now! You sound like classic Celiac--you have many of the typical signs and symptoms. Good news to hear you are better on the diet too. The book Dangerous Grains, if you are looking for an interesting read, discusses gluten in depth and also talks...
  24. I like contadina's... I do add more herbs too.
  25. Patti- woo hoo, another fan of SATC we loved walk the line...big johnny and june fans. the autobiography, the new one tells these amazing stories about the two of them...ones that give you chills! i'll have to tell you my favorite one sometime. Nisla-wow a painting! is he an artist?
