  1. I too get the frustration, in an ideal world...all companies would have "lists" for us and gluten-free lines...but in the real world, it is great when a company will even list all gluten sources on the label. (Do you have the list of what those companies are? We have one here...)
  2. People vary, so its impossible to say how much damage how much of a contamination will do...but as has been said here... slip-ups and mistakes do damage you, inside and out...and consistent ones keep you from healing and improving...
  3. i'll take it. i flippin' love pot pie!
  4. i'm eating an amy's right now!
  5. Kim- If you are truly gluten-free, you should return to a "normal" chance of pregnancy. If you are interested, there have been a few studies on what reduces the risk of a child developing Celiac...mostly breast feeding and late introduction of gluten containing foods. 7. you can give target a call, just make sure you have the upc #. i did that with a product, they called the lab/manufacturer and got back to me on the status.
  8. oooo badger...i had a post on that a while back--love their products, all are gluten-free and safe. i switched over to all their lip balms from chapstick etc...
  9. it might have been a cold. can't tell you how many times in the past i was getting sick, took echinacea for a 2 days and was normal again. i have been reading on Astragalus...going to have to do some more research and maybe try sometime. goldenseal is good too...
  10. well, hopefully berneses will keep us updated, but soon the mac and cheese and pizza will be moved to a gluten-free facility! don't worry rachel!! i have eaten quite a bit of amy's with no issues... hope you're okay
  11. really gentle, non fragrant lotions--Open Original Shared Link super sensitive is great--esp made for kids and babies!
  12. so sorry to hear about your problem! that must be miserable... ! i'm sure you've thought of it, but didn't seem it mentioned...have you been tested for an std? i'm not sure if an std would remain 'invisible'...but thought i better mention it just in case. i have had similiar issues--had a bout when i was engaged--horrible yeast/then bacterial infections...
  13. i also use the thai kitchen fish sauce. love in thai food, but man that stuff stinks!
  14. love to eat--i've had several of those procedures done--each was easy. the hardest part was not eating! if you have trouble drinking the "colon cleaner" if that's what they prescribe, i chased my glasses with some gum, helped me get them down. the worst thing i have had from one of the procedures was a slight sore throat afterwards...but nothing to worry...
  15. dark angel has a good idea...i agree it could just be swollen lymph nodes. my understanding is that a thyroid nodule is straight on--in the front of your neck, not on the side.
  16. Danielle- Below is a great articles on sulfites/wines and a list of wines that are sulfite-free...in case you want to get back to that! Open Original Shared Link
  17. gosh--thanks for reminding me how much i used to love triscuits and cheddar wow...i'd have no idea for a triscuit recipe! glutano has cracker bread that is somehow vaguely reminiscent of a triscuit...but even that's a stretch!
  18. and depending on how much you want to know... Open Original Shared Link fun fact--brown sugar comes from..... molasses and sugar. there is a misnomer and some people think 'brown sugar' is more natural or better for you than white...but its not really true... that is all
  19. the kit comes with several forms you'll need to fill out...and one of those your doc will sign.
  20. I basically told my doctor I wanted to do it He signed the form, they took my blood at the dr.s office and sent the package for me. If you order the tests, you need only call to do so first, they will send it to your house. You don't need drs signature till you send the labs in.
  21. here is Great Plains Lab: Open Original Shared Link here is list of tests, you can get descriptions of what each tests: Open Original Shared Link i choose great plains b/c i could bill my insurance for it and it didn't cost me much at all. they have an allergy specialist/biochemist you can talk to on the phone also about results etc.
  22. Great plains also has casein and several forms of dairy on its intolerance tests as well. I was off the charts
  23. Wow...I've never heard of lactose intolerance doing anything like that...usually just gas, bloating etc. ...but I did read in a few articles it can, just surprising to me. He still could be allergic or intolerant to milk though. I would try and get him to be cf for a while and see if that helps. Or just take out the lactose, not all dairy and see if there...
  24. Which mi-dels did you try? I abhor their choc chip...but am pretty much obssessed with the arrowroot cookies. If you haven't--try them! They are like animal crackers...I think I could live on them alone PS--You can use them to make gluten-free pie crusts too...
  25. Carrie- sorry you don't have the kitty anymore you are not alone! i thought i was gluten-free in the beginning...b/c no doctor or dietician brought to light cking my products etc. i found a few items like a MAC lip conditioner that were not gluten-free. you will get there--there is a learning curve for all of us!
