  1. No, it won't tell you that, you'd have to call each manufacturer, if their website still lists it as a product. Based on the ingredients I found for sulfasalazine from one manufacturer (Greenstone) I'm not sure why it isn't safe, but that seems to be the consensus on the internet. Greenstone had starch but didn't list the source, that might be the problem...
  2. Here is the FDA list of manufacturers, if my link works. It is on the 4th page of "S" drugs. Just click on the drug name. methylprednisolone is on the 4th page of Ms. https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cder/daf/index.cfm?event=browseByLetter.page&productLetter=S&ai=0 They may not all be making it any more, but this may be a place to...
  3. Wow, it is nice that they call the manufacturer. I'll see if I can find a list of manufacturers on the FDA website.
  4. These are generic drugs that may be made by more than one manufacturer, you'd need to know the manufacturer to look up the inactive ingredients. I need to tell my pharmacy that I have celiac, I hadn't thought of that (I don't take anything on a regular basis).
  5. I was in the hospital once for six days and had nothing except the glucose in the iv solution- and I survived. Since it is only for two weeks I wouldn't worry about a balanced diet, or getting every nutrient every day. Some celiacs react to oats, but lots of steamed rice would be good for getting calories. If you took nuts that would add both fat and...
  6. It seems strange to be tested for celiac or gluten sensitivity if you have no symptoms, unless you have a close relative with celiac. It will be interesting to see what sort of test was actually performed.
  7. About 95% of my diet fits that, with a little certified gluten free (not junk food). If my antibodies aren't normal next year I'll go for 100%. Although I don't have symptoms, I did just feel better eating mostly that way. I was surprised that my dietician, who specializes in GI issues, had not heard of it.
  8. I can't help, but I can sympathize. I hope you get some advice! I've been trying to be gluten free for four years. My antibody levels have come way down but my DGP IgA is still high and my TTg IgA is still borderline positive. Each time I try a stricter diet they come down a little more. I'm now eating mainly whole foods plus some certified gluten free...
  9. I would be very unhappy if I had a strictly gluten free household and someone brought gluten into it. My household is not completely gluten free (my husband prepares foods with gluten in a separate area) but I'd still be unhappy if guests expected to eat gluten in my house. It's your health, not just a preference.
  10. Thank you for that information! I'm super sensitive and trying to use whole foods plus a few certified gluten free items. This really helps.
  11. I eat their chips but not their cocoa. I used to, but then the cocoa label changed to say that it may contain wheat (or is made in a facility with wheat, I forget which). When I asked them about it they said they had changed where the cocoa was manufactured. But since the chips don't say that I feel safe with them. Always good to read the label every...
  12. They seem to be good about saying things may contain wheat when their products are made on shared equipment, for example their ground chocolate which I no longer use. This is the reply I got a year ago (March 2015) when asking about their 60% cacao chips. "Dear Consumer, There is no wheat in our 60% chips and no wheat in our chips facility...
  13. I used to prepare plain roast chicken so that the dog (who had IBS) could eat with us.
  14. Bunnies can eat more than one type of hay. If alfalfa bothers you, you could try timothy. Although it might be hard to always buy the type that doesn't bother you. i think the local house rabbit society sells a mix (at least they used to - it has been years since I had a bunny).
  15. Thanks for the report, I'll try to go tomorrow.
  16. Gottaski, please let us know how the Gluten Free party is, I haven't yet decided if I want to go or not.
  17. I made a Grand Marnier Souffle with Creme Anglaise for dessert last night. First time I've made it since going gluten free. I just substituted cornstarch for flour and it came out fine.
