    I use the plain Vaseline lip therapy with no problems, or Carmex, I was allergic to burts bees. Not gluten, just regular, old fashioned rash and swelling. For body lotion I use cerave.     If I may offer one other suggestion. It won't fix your allergies by any means, but my ophthalmologist told me to take flax oil every day. It's not a cure but it absolutely eased the symptoms for me of dry eyes. Still have to use drops at times and I am most affected by cold.     Stick with it and get the biopsy. You won't regret it, as texasjen says, the diet is very demanding and can be very isolating. It can be easy to convince yourself you can have a little gluten now and then, or that you don't have to worry about cross contamination when there is any doubt about the diagnosis.     Check your diet for aspartame as well, I used to have them much worse than I do now, once I realized aspartame was a trigger. Before celiac diagnosis, I didn't know what it was to have a day without headaches. I only "complained" of a headache when they became migraines. Those eased off tremendously with gluten free diet but the ocular migraines persisted...

    For frozen, my favorite is freschetta gluten free pizza. I prefer to get the cheese one and do my own topping. For homemade, I like the King Arthur gluten free pizza crust recipe best. Whole family eats it. For sauce I mix I 15 ounce can tomato sauce with one can paste. Add spices and a touch of sugar. Tastes a lot like Pizza Hut sauce

    There has been a lot of controversy about probiotics, so I stopped taking mine.     Good to know, I'm allergic to sulfa as well but have taken doxycycline for a different reason without problems. I'll be storing this idea for future reference....hopefully unneeded !

    The prepackaged idea made me think of one other thing. I have one of those foodsaver seal a meal machines. If that's an option for you, you could even seal homemade lunches and keep his food safe without making him feel too different

    Sorry, gluten isn't a germ, you can't kill it. I have some heirloom skillets too. I'm sad about it, but can't use them. Too porous. They will always have gluten residue. Just one of those things.

    People with celiac disease do not need to carry an epi-pen for gluten. It is an autoimmune disease not an allergy. Having said that, celiacs and non-celiacs can have a separate allergy to wheat, which is indeed an allergy that may require a epi pen. But intolerance to gluten, itself is not an allergy.

    Uhhhhh, you told you doc about this? I would be worried about TIA's first! If that rules out, then have your B vitamins checked. B1 in particular is important for neurological function. But you can worry about that stuff AFTER you make sure you aren't having mini strokes, possibly working up to a big one. Am I scaring you yet? Good....go see your doctor...

    I'm only speculating, but maybe it's what you got glutened with? Because I'm not even positive myself, but it seems when I get accidentally glutened, the most likely culprit, and the worst reactions,seem to come from barley. Again, pure speculation based on my own experience

    Mine was done backwards too. They didn't really think it was celiac, did the biopsy because I was anemic and had hashimotos. But I was 80 lbs overweight.     The gluten molecule is supposedly too large to absorb through the skin, but like ravenwodglass, I avoid all products with gluten because of fear of transferring it from my hands to my mouth. For sure, no hand lotion or lip care products even if you choose to continue using the other items
