Hey Susan,

Can Jane come and visit me? :D

10 weeks without wine--congrats! That's great :)

Green12 Enthusiast
Thanks, Patti. Well, that is strange, isn't it? Here we go again with Jean Benet....it will be interesting.

It will be endless for me, since I live in the state it happened. The entire paper, local news, on top of the national media <_<

That is interesting Patti, something seems a little off to me about his story. Not sure what exactly.....

Everytime I see the name Susan I think someone is speaking to me. Ha!

I coach youth rugby, for a whiel I coached at the college level and men's and women's div 2 adult leauges. I primarily focus on refereeing in the fall.

Sounds like fun Picard, I'm a big sports fan myself :)

Are you in Canada? I don't know if you ever said, I thought Ryan was in Cananda, but not sure if you are as well...

The whole thing with this guy is a little fishy--

I've never noticed where everyone is from until now. It seems like we are all over the place. As spread out as we can be.

Hey, how about Ebay? I buy & sell so much on there. I love it.

I do ebay. That's where I buy my custom paint breyer horses. Check out mystic_horse_studios just to see what kind of work she does. She lives an hour north of me and is super nice.

I also sell misc things.

Andrea - - LOVE LOVE LOVE the Waltons......will post a poem from it for you later, from John-boy - makes me cry

I'll be watching for it. I'm trying to catch up quick and I've got to grab a baby that just woke up. It's lunch time and his tummy is talking to him. Micah just went in to say hi to him. :P

Everytime I see the name Susan I think someone is speaking to me. Ha!

Maybe we should call you Susan and Dingogirl, Susie.

swittenauer Enthusiast

That's what I do too with Ebay. I sell cds dvds, kids clothes & lots of other stuff.

I'd go for that being called Susan & dingo Susie. Or maybe Susan W.

AndreaB Contributor

Susie,

Congrats on the avoidance of things that need to be left alone. :D

Somethign DOES seem quite off....like, he confesses, then his wife (?) says, no, he was with me at Christmas.......he is freakish......

Everytime I see the name Susan I think someone is speaking to me. Ha!

let's see.....they sometimes call me Susie? maybe that could work? :)

swittenauer Enthusiast

Okay. Susan and Susie it is. I'm easily confused. Ha!

Thanks for posting those jobs!

Hey I just read on another thread that the Outback Steakhouse has recalled their gluten free menu & that they only have one salad dressing listed as gluten free now. Yikes!

I love Outback & so does my husband & our daughter also.

I read that last night. I haven't been though. We don't usually go out to eat. We were vegans prior to learning about gluten allergies and intolerances, so have only been back on meat for a few months. My kids still aren't real fond of it and miss their soy.

Hey Rachel. Where is your new pic?

I cant put up a new pic until I'm on my home computer....which wont be until the weekend.

Rachel, who knew we had so many similarities, and nerdy and dorky ones at that

I loved to go roller skating with all my friends, that was the cool thing to do in the late 70s, early 80s, go to Skate City and go around and round in a circle while Bonnie TYler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" blared on the loud speaker

:lol: Yeah...everyone hung out at the rink back then. I used to be there all day...from like 6 am until 4 or 5. I loved it. In the morning I had my lessons and practice....as soon as the "session" started it was off with the "skirt thingy".....no way I could be skating around in a skirt with all my crushes there. Soooo not cool. Those were the days....I could also eat churros and nachos all day long. :D

I remember the dude I had a crush on when I was in 4th grade, he was in 6th grade. His name was Kevin something. One of my friends told him I liked him and he asked me to skate with him, I was so embarrassed.......

:lol: I had a huge crush on one of the DJ's who worked at the rink. All my first boyfriends were from the roller skating rink.

About 4 years ago me and my ex went skating...we were having fun just going around in circles. A little boy skated up to me...maybe he was 12 or 13....he asked me if I'd skate with him for the next couples song.:lol: It was really cute....but once I told him how old I was his eyes bugged out and he never came back.:lol:

My ex and I had a good laugh over that one!!

We have to see that picture of you from your roller skating days, I do believe that tops the purple dress and heels

Yeah....nothing tops feathered hair. :lol::lol:

Ok...feathered hair and skating outfit with sequins!!!

I would rather spend eternity with Bob Barker telling me to spay and neuter my pets than watch 5 minutes of Lazytown. That show is 'effin creepy!

What is Lazytown??

LOVE LOVE Ice Skating shows. One of my two athletic medals is a gold metal for skating :)

I didn't see the other kids, but they must have sucked, because I fell during my routine

I fell during a competition once....no medal for me. I cried when I got home....sooo embarassing. :(

Aren't pants the most annoying thing!? I try and find a brand that fits, and Rachel it!!!

Yeah...I Rachel the heck out of pants that fit me nowadays!!

Hey I just read on another thread that the Outback Steakhouse has recalled their gluten free menu & that they only have one salad dressing listed as gluten free now. Yikes!

:o

Say it isnt so!!!

Is this some kind of backlash from all the uproar over McDonalds fries??? <_<

Susie ...(I gotta think of another name for you...feel weird calling you Susie  )......YAY!!!! 10 DAYS.....NO NUGGETS!!

Proud of ya. ;)

Now the kids go in-line skating at these rinks, or most of them do anyway- don't they?

Roller skating is totally different. I love roller skating. I've never seen Grease 2. Usually the sequels aren't so good but I might give it a try.

How about something a little bit more exciting............................ like roller derby! Now I am REALLY dating myself!!!!!

:o

Now I'm a bit more carrot top than ronald mcdonald, but it's still not done. And I smell like a cathedral. Which isn't necessarily bad, I always loved that smell :)

I feel that way about Telletubbies .......

LOVE LOVE Ice Skating shows. One of my two athletic medals is a gold metal for skating :)

Fabulous Chelse!

I took ice skating lessons in the 70s when it was really popular then, around the time of Dorothy Hammill (sp?) and the movie Ice Castles, LOVED that movie. I'm so glad I did that when I was really young and short, closer to the ground when I did all the falling, and I don't know what it is there is something about being that young and having balance and no fear

I had a very rough month after diagnosis. No exaggeration, lost so much inflammatory weight, I looked like a bag of bones, underneath i had been literally starving to death. I did start feeling noticeably better after a month of very strict control of my kitchen and home. What are you eating for breakfast and lunch? I ignored my doc and ate oats, yes they were gluten free, but some brands are at the higher end of gluten free. Lots of celics can eat Bob's Red Mill gluten-free oats, but not me. I can now eat them, but they have to be grown and processed according to the "purity protocol" methods. I mail order them, Montana Gluten-Free brand. A food and symptoms and activities log can be helpful in tracking down issues. You might be totally aware, but I have to mention about the risk of airborne gluten. As the doc that diagnosed me warned . . Remember eyes, ears, nose, and mouth all lead to your stomach and intestines.  Are you getting any cross contamination? Airborne gluten? Any pets eating gluten (they eat it, lick themselves, you pet them...)? Any house remodeling? We live in an older home, always fixing something. I've gotten glutened from the dust from cutting into plaster walls, possibly also plywood (glues). The suggestions by many here on vitamin supplements also really helped me. I had some lingering allergies and asthma, which are now 99% gone. I was taking Albuterol inhaler every hour just to breathe, but thiamine in form of benfotiamine kicked that down to 1-2 times a day within a few days of starting it. Also, since cutting out inflammatory seed oils (canola, sunflower, grapeseed, etc) and cooking with real olive oil, avocado oil, ghee, and coconut oil, I have noticed even greater improvement overall and haven't used the inhaler in months! It takes time to weed out everything in your life that contains gluten, and it takes awhile to heal and rebuild your health. At first it's mentally exhausting, overwhelming, even obsessive, but it gets better and second nature.

Hi,  I care for my seven year old daughter with Celiac. After watching her for months, I have figured out that she has problem with two kinds of fats- animal fat and cooking oils. It basically makes her intestine sore enough that she feels spasms when she is upset. It only happens on days when she has eaten more fat than her usual every day diet. (Her usual diet has chia seeds, flaxseeds, and avocado/ pumpkin seeds for fat and an occasional chicken breast.) I stopped using cooking oils last year, and when I reintroduced eggs and dairy, both of which I had held off for a few months thinking it was an issue of the protein like some Celiac patients habe mentioned to be the case, she has reacted in the same fashion as she does with excess fats. So now I wonder if her reaction to dairy and eggs is not really because of protein but fat.   I don't really have a question, just wondering if anyone finds this familiar and if it gets better with time.  Thank you.
    • Chanda Richard
Hello, My name is Chanda and you are not the only one that gose through the same things. I have found that what's easiest for me is finding a few meals each week that last. I have such severe reactions to gluten that it shuts my entire body down. I struggle everyday with i can't eat enough it feels like, when I eat more I lose more weight. Make sure that you look at medication, vitamins and shampoo and conditioner also. They have different things that are less expensive at Walmart.

Thank you so much! I saw some tips around the forum to make a food diary and now that I know that the community also struggles with corn, egg and soy, the puzzle pieces came together! Just yesterday I tried eating eggs and yes, he’s guilty and charged. Those there are my 3 combo nausea troublemakers. I’m going to adjust my diet ☺️ Also thank you for the information about MCAS! I’m from South America and little it’s talked about it in here. It’s honestly such a game changer now for treatment and recovery. I know I’m free from SIBO and Candida since I’ve been tested for it, but I’m still going to make a endoscopy to test for H. Pylori and Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). Thank you again!! Have a blessed weekend 🤍

Yes, I, too, have osteoporosis from years of malabsorption, too.  Thiamine and magnesium are what keep the calcium in place in the bones.  If one is low in magnesium, boron, selenium, zinc, copper, and other trace minerals, ones bone heath can suffer.  We need more than just calcium and Vitamin D for strong bones.  Riboflavin B 2, Folate B 9 and Pyridoxine B 6 also contribute to bone formation and strength.   Have you had your thyroid checked?  The thyroid is important to bone health as well.  The thyroid uses lots of thiamine, so a poorly functioning thyroid will affect bone heath.
