Isn't she in California? That would be 8 o'clock for us east coasters.

Speaking of devil dogs, I am really starting to think my dog has some kind of loose wiring. :( She has had major problems with aggression, and I thought I had gotten it trained out of her, but now this past week it's resurfacing. I don't understand, I raised this dog from 3 weeks, bottle fed her and everything :( :( I am so depressed. And sick. Ugh.

Sorry to be a downer.

You're not a downer--things always seem so much worse when you're sick :( I don't know very much about dogs, but I hope it's something like a phase that she will come back out of.

You're right about Susie and the time difference--I knew that, too

You guys are the best. :)

There is GOOD news....both masses were lipomas, plain as day. :) So NO cancer!!

However....I probably don't sound that excited because I am heavy with sadness as todya's stuff was outrageously expensive. Way more than I was told.....:o:( And I worry I'll never get out of debt.....

But as our dear Nicola said - - 'tis only money, right?

Thank you sillies, for your moral support!

Annie is just sitting here whining quietly and insistently - - she feels it was a great assault and indignance she has endured.......poor baby. So sad to watch kids and animals in pain....

Sarah - you are not a downer!! Rant away....

Must go to Spanish now, but feel I should stay home.....rather torn.....

Ah--great news!!! I'm so relieved, Susie :D

Give your girl a big hug for me and Allo--gotta go back and pack--just checking quick to see if you were back yet.

See you in the AM :)

Oh Susie Q, I was anxiously and nervously awaitng the latest, so glad to hear all is ok!

Great news!!!

I am sorry about the expenses :( Will they work with you on a payment plan??

Darn210 Enthusiast

Susie, Fantastic News!!! I'm surprised and happy that they could have the info so quickly for you . . . they usually make you sit around, worry, and stew about for days!

Ouch on the $$bill$$ So here's an idea . . . for Christmas, instead of gifts, tell everyone that you've made a donation to LIMPSY on their behalf (maybe throw in a nice photo of Annie in her snazzy superdog outfit). If you did all the paperwork and made LIMPSY a tax deductable charity, you could probably write it off on your taxes, too.

YAHOO!!!

ANNIE'S OK!!!! :D:D:D

I had Gus up asleep beside me all night, (DH was scrunched almost off the bed), and felt him sending strong canine vibes to Annie. Well done, Gus...and Annie!

Susie, consider the vet bill the ultimate Christmas present to yourself, your dogs and all friends who benefit from your terrific, happy, healthy company. Annie is vital to your well-being, so you are giving to everyone. You've done your holiday shopping...and I love Janet's idea of sending out a super-Annie card!

All right...so now our parade will include ALL pets. I'm certain that Queen Bev would heartily approve this motion. Gus used to have a tendency to hump most other dogs his size, but this seems, thankfully, to have abated. But wait...he'll have the yeti...!

I am so glad to hear about Annie...the bill is outrageous but is worth it :)

Why, what lovely ladies you have, Richard! And congratulations on resisting the urge to augment your photo with The Wiggles and YooHoos. :P

No augmentation needed. They are PERFECT :rolleyes:

WTH is a YooHoo? I know the Wiggles (duu-uuuhhh)...you're not talking about the drink, are you? The high fructose corn syrup and cocoa powder concoction?

C'mon, we've ALL SEEN THE PICTURES...you and Simon (sparkling teeth and all)...you and the 'Hoff (sans cheeseburger)...it is obvious that you run with the "in" crowd. We don't hold it against you ;):P

Well I dunno about you guys but 'YOO-HOO' is what we (Brits) might shout out to someone to attract their attention - that and 'OI, MATE':lol:

Well, I sure didn't think it appropriate to put the beer hats on them like you did for Susie!!! So, yes, the kid equivalent . . .YooHoo! :)

 Oh, so beer is NOT appropriate, but empty SUGAR-COATED-CAFFEINE is? :o

(note to self -Janet is not allowed to babysit) ;) At least the beer keeps them quiet :):unsure:

Has anyone else noticed . . . Richard seems to be feeling a LOT better today.

So Brits yell out drink names to say hello and cereal names to say good-bye!

I'm on my second YooHoo!:ph34r::rolleyes:

Isn't that the actual name YooHoo! (with an exclamation point)...that alone should be a harbinger indicative of the migraine to follow!

(edit)

Nope, I was mistaken. The name is actually Open Original Shared Link - no exclamation mark... i had it confused with YAHOOOOOOOOO! They actually advertise "chocolatey goodness"...

Richard may being feeling better but I could not be feeling worse...last night I slept on my couch from 5:30-7:30 and went bed at 10. I am still tired and my stomach is feeling gross.

jerseyangel Proficient

I'm back--despite the heiniosity.....I called all the utilities yesterday to have the accounts closed on Monday--well, the phone company (who also is our internet provider) goofed and shut off our phone and (shudder) internet last night. :o

I was an hour on the cell phone this morning to get it reconnected--and get this--I have to call again to disconnect :angry:<_<

I've been passed off from person to person--all with that annoying, patronizing tone that this was somehow my fault, and they were doing me a big favor.

Ok--got that out! I feel much better now. Carry on :D

Oh no Amanda--you can't get sick!

Was it something you ate, or do you think you have the flu that's going around?

Get lots of rest and pamper yourself today...are you home?

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?
    • Francis M
We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
