Methinks the Psilly thread should be broadcast through the intercoms of hospital recovery and observation areas -- professionals reading our lines, going through the posts in real time, with recap and summaries before shift-change. People would recover more quickly.....and even if they didn't, they would be larfin', and larfter ALWAYS helps.. . .. ..... .

Amen to that! I never stopped reading whilst in TexA$$! Nothin to share, but soooo needed the occassional largh giggle weak smile :)

I've been outta the Great Phorum Loop -- is everyone, like me, sidelined and greatly handicapped by this new feature (or lack thereof) that no longer allows us to see past posts when we are posting? 'Tis quite... .. ..debilitating, at times... . .... ...I believe that this should be brought forward in the official minutes of the Moderators Only Section as an item to peruse.

Oh, yes.. . .. . .....and right beneath this, the question of why I cannot apply mascara with my mouth closed.

Tis quite simple......

When you apply mascara, you raise your eyebrows, thus pulling the skin upwards, causing the mouth to gape open. This is a sign of still young, tight skin.

I, on the other hand, no longer have young, tight skin, therefore I do not have a problem keeping my mouth shut.

However......it seems that some tightness-challenged women still apply make-up with mouth open. This is either due to poor memory (forgot that eyebrows no longer able to open mouth) or poor eyesight (and the erroneous belief that opening the mouth provides more light to shine on the optic nerve, thus improving vision)

Anyone know how many stamps I need to send a regular ol' letter to British Columbia??

Well.... . . . . . I know that it currently costs us Canucks a buck in postage to send a regular letter to the US.

The Oracle will know.... . .. .

Lurved this whole post :lol::lol::lol:

Then there are those of us who, despite our damnedest efforts, still pull our mouths into that funny little line (to prevent them opening??? :o ) when we're applying any cosmetics, just like our muvvers used to, and we used to make fun of them for doing that, and now we finds ourselves doing it too :o:blink::unsure::lol:

Sure proof of genetics at work.

Just like my right thumb locks into a certain position, just like my mom's used to, and I have to use my other hand to straighten it out :P

Now let's see, what else can I blame on me mom? Don't get me started :lol::lol: But the RA comes from me Dad :P:( Most of the other stuff, though, is maternally influenced, except my strong bones :D (read large frame as well :D ) and big head  - barely a hat made to encase the brains bulging from this hulking skull of mine. I see they have finally changed the sizing to read "One Size Fits MOST!!

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
