Boy you leave to have lunch and miss quite a bit....

One needs to be truly dedicated to goofing off to keep up around here.:ph34r:

I'm on my lunch hour...uh that's it...

Sorry, we can't have the Boy Scouts and MJ in the same parade. :o

I just got off the phone with him, Michael Jackson says he'll stay in Bahrain, has some more skin-bleaching sessions and also said he was too afraid of the yeti (but in fact HAS been doing some hyperbaric treatments w/ sacred yeti scat that he dug up on Neverland).

But remember this is a YETI in Scout's clothes...

ah, sweet temptation...

Hey! Did some quick research. The Australian term for their mysterious hairy bipoedal hominid is not Yeti (that's Nepal), but Yowie. Much nicer...better for the parade. Jess, some new stanzas, please?

I think our parade needs The A-team to hand out Glow sticks too :)

Um . . . you're 46?!?! You HONESTLY do not look a day over 36. So is living with Dingos the true Fountain of Youth?

I accidentally glutened myself on Wednesday evening (with the stupidest mistake in the history of Celiac Disease) and I was finally able to get some sleep last night. Not sure if it was the gluten or my crazy blood sugar but I had some really weird dreams. But the general theme of these dreams was a very odd, rather perverse parade! So I just wanted to report that all of this silliness made it into my messed up dreams!

Thanks for all of the funniness. It does a body good. I can't believe I'm laughing within 48 hours of ingesting gluten.

Once the hellish first 24 hours were over I decided I was going to try and fight the glutening and just carry on but my brain and my tummy aren't on board with that <_< . So I'm heading back to bed. Have fun with all the funniness. Thanks for the much needed giggles.

"Who's the guy in the big fur coat?"

"YOWIE!" "YOWIE!"

"Who's on top of the rainbow float?"

"YOWIE!" "YOWIE!"

"Who can tip the biggest boat?"

"YOWIE!" "YOWIE!"

"Hey! Who ate Chuck Heston's goat?"

"YOWIE!" "YOWIE!"

ok, got a little lame towards the end.

or all the way through,

but come on! How many poems about giant furry semimythical beasts can a girl come up with in one morning?

Maybe Jan Michael Vincent (the man with three first names) could do a fly-over in "Airwolf". I hear he's looking for work. (as are most of the stars from 80's tv favorites  )

Can I drive David Hasselhoff's car KITT? I seem to remember him already assigned some other role in the parade.

Glad we can get your mind off the yuckiness--at least for a few minutes. Feel better, my friend :)

Sorry about the glutening.

And, no, I'm NOT caught up. I have two busy days and this thread takes off!

Yep--and I'll follow you in the Dukes of Hazzard car (the one with no working doors)--it'll be me and Chuck

He's leaving his big Dodge truck at home ;)

Nay, Nay, quite excellent, I say. (That actually sounds more like Dr. Seuss)

Plus, the goat had it coming.

Oh, and two thumbs up for School House Rock. One of my faves from kidhood. I just got the DVD for my kids a couple of months ago. My favorite was/is Open Original Shared Link

Yes--Montgomery County.

When they showed the table full of guns I almost died. What is wrong with people today. That place is not so far from Harrisburg. Maybe an hour.

I just hope it's the original version and not the re-make, please leave Jessica Simpson at home!

How's the packing going Patti?

I agree Susie Q does not look her age, no Susie Q hit 30-ish and just stopped. Susie Q defies time, and gravity. It's just something she does.

... a bit like Chuck Norris :P

I do vaguely remember that I once heard, through a friend of a friend, that the only thing that even comes close to sending a chill up the mighty Mr. Norris' spine is the thought of meeting the business end of the Iroquois Skull Crusher that hangs above Susie's mantle. Speak softly and carry BIG STICK! She defies time, gravity and any other laws of physics that she pleases! :o

 SO not true. But, Alex, to answer your question, YES, the secret is living with dingos, AND lots of sunscreen. ;)

oh, and still having ACNE at 45 helps a lot  (two months shy of 46)

Got carded until my late 30's, early 40's.....then gained over TWENTY-FIVE POUNDS removing gluten and, never get carded any more.

har-RUMPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahem, excuse me, picture taken in July of this year. :P A confession: objects in photo appear younger than in person. In real life, I look quite haggard today, and would NOT insert a photo from this week, should one be taken (like the elusive yeti, I am hard to capture on film).

bloody miserable headache and puffy eyes today, just what IS in Coca Cola? somebody tell me, because I NEVER drink them, and had half of one at lunch yesterday.....is it the chemicals? feel and look like rubbish today. and now must head out to Cheesecake FActory for lunch......ugh. Wish to remain in seclusion today.

Desperately need a vitamin D supplement. I've reacted to most brands I've tried.

No they just said stop all supplements two weeks before. Its so frustrating im not at all happy with my "care team",because im not being seen for my sibo infact my appointment was dropped, I even asked about it and they said Dr prescribed you meds and I stated yes but I again had a reaction.I feel bothersome. I need to find another gi but its useless because its going to be same thing around here.i just feel lost and in tbe medical file they are writing what ever and its really not ok. In fact i dont want to go unless they record the conversation. Yes its that bad.im only having  care and concern for my ms whose Not part of the same health association that pcp and gi are with.I will have to look into changing to another. Mayo clinic is great but its the celiac, sibo, ect and all related issues that need addressed but current " careteam says call when needed. No plans of scheduled dates

@science enthusiast Christi, It could be Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).  Lots of people with Celiac develop it, especially if they eat a high carbohydrate diet.   Colonic bacteria crawl into the small intestine and ferment the excess carbohydrates and prebiotic fibers which causes lots of gas.   I changed my diet to the Autoimmune Protocol Diet (AIP), a Paleo diet, and supplemented with a B Complex and Benfotiamine, a form of Thiamine that helps heal the intestines and has antibacterial properties.  I had improvement within a few days.  The AIP diet starves out the carbohydrate loving SIBO bacteria and allows more beneficial bacteria a chance to repopulate. Hope this helps.

Yes, a rule I usually follow. Pict Sweet was always known to be gluten-free and after many years of use with no problems, it's easy to forget to look.
    • trents
"I am quite convinced this gluten is coming from exposure whilst eating out.  Small levels, that don't make me violently sick, but might give me a mild stomach upset." cristiana, are you saying this is your actual experience or are you speculating here?
    • Peggy M
I have tried many Vit D. Solgad is one that did not cause any problems. I take 5000IU. Most of their vitamins are gluten-free certified but this is not.  They can be purchased direct from Solgar or Amazon.
