Laura.

Thanks i did and can't get it a lighter green.

I think that would help tho.

I'll log of and on again.

Is it the lite green like in the green icon that looks like your sick or the light greens on the edit and quote buttons?

thank again babe

Now that everyone likes it, we can start complaining that Scott's avatar is still blue. ;)

Reload the page, Carla. Scott has a new avatar. Once you see it, you will be glad it is NOT green. LOL.

The lighter green is much better......thanks Scott!

The olive green is much better! Thanks, Scott!

My only other suggestion would be to make the print larger and darker for the many here who have vision problems. Even those of us without vision problems would appreciate it!

Thanks again.

Definitely getting eye strain with the new colors. On the bright side, this will keep me off this site at work. :P

It's all green and I don't have to use the lo-fi version anymore.

Thanks, Scott!

One problem for me is when I do a search, the box with the page number I'm looking at is only a very slightly darker shade of white than the rest that I can't tell what page I'm on so when I try to go to the next page I don't know which one to click. I'm sure we're all jumping at you with all these sugestions before you have a fair chance to get it all done. Thanks.

Yeah, I find myself about two inches from the screen because the font is so small and light, and I'm only 23, it's not like I need reading glasses. I'm sure I'll get used to the other stuff, and the darker greenis much more pleasant, but the small font is giving me a headache.

Each of you can adjust your own font size in your browser--

1) In IE click on the "Page" drop down, then select "Text Size." You can also zoom in and out to make everything larger.

2) In Firefox click the "View" drop down, the select "Text Size."

Each browser allow you to adjust these.

I hope this helps...

Take care,

Scott

Hmm I can't verify this, as I surf w/ a Sidekick, but doesn't this then make every other site's font too big?

I haven't heard of a 'Save Settings by Domain' feature in a browser.

Not real computer savey here.

I went to view - text size and the list of Gluten Free Items (on the left margin) got bigger, but the post page is the same. My e-mail is also larger as I changed the setting. Post pages remain the same.

Me too.

Scott, is there a reason the default font size is now size 1? (For those following along, previously it was 2.)

Also the link to the board rules/guidelines is missing. I know that we can always use a refresher reading those so I hope that it is put back into place so folks don't forget the manner in which we should behave here at glutenfreeforum.com .

Since the change, I have noticed a difference in the way hyperlinks work. When I post a hyperlink, not only is it not blue (this was also true before the upgrade), it is not underlined. The underline will only show when I mouse over the text where I put the link. So now I have to hilight the text, make it underlined, and make it blue. Not a huge deal, but I like to use a lot of links in my posts  If I don't specifically say "this is a link" people might not know one was there.

Is this by design, or an I doing something wrong?

Other than that, I like the new look. I am already used to it.

Hello Everyone,

I've increased the font size in posts to the same as the old board.

Take care,

Scott

Thanks Scott,

I'm beginning to appreciate the changes already. Green is my favorite color. :)

The first shade of green was way too bright for my eyes...the new shade is much better!

Thanks for increasing the font size as well. :)

Levels on my celiac panel were within normal range except ttg iga which was tagged as high (646 mg/dl). Is that typical?
    • ShariW
A lot of people erroneously think soy is a problem for people needing to be on a gluten-free diet. Trents' comment above speaks to some celiacs also having a sensitivity to soy, but this is just some of them.  However, soy sauce is something anyone following a gluten-free diet should be wary of. Many soy sauces contain wheat, which is where the soy/gluten confusion comes into play. There is gluten-free soy sauce available, just read labels to be sure. I use San-J Tamari, which is gluten-free but does contain soy, in place of regular soy sauce.

I have many of those same CMP irregularities from time to time, with the exception that my potassium is always normal. What I can tell you is that it is normal for everything not to be normal when you get a CMP done. I used to get a CBC and CMP done annually and there were always some things out of spec. Docs don't get excited about it for the most part. It depends on the particular parameter (some are more important than others) and it depends on how far out of range it is. Docs also look for trends over time as opposed to isolated snapshots of this or that being out of spec at any given time. Our body chemistry is a dynamic entity.
