I also wasn't surprised to see Steve go. He was just kind of irritating. At least that's what my husband called it.

I really hope Marlee, Priscilla, and Jason are the top 3. I am sooooooo NOT a Yamaguchi fan. I didn't like her on the ice, and I don't like her on the dance floor. I'm not sure what it is about her, she just annoys me. She's boring.

Kristi has an edge from her skating experience that I think is not really fair for the rest of the stars. If not for a chance to watch her HOT dance partner I would be happy to see her go. Does anyone know if Priscilla has had cosmetic surgery? She looks so much like a wax figure but is very graceful!! I also LOVE Marlee!! glad for this thread as I am only fan in my house. I just want to get over the muscle and joint pain associated with disease so I can take ballroom dance lessons. It looks like soooo much fun!!!!

I THINK that I heard Priscilla did have cosmetic surgery and it didn't go well and she was not happy to have it done. This might even be a surgeon who is now in prison but NOT SURE.

This show inspires me to want to dance too! I hope to get healthy soon so I can take dancing lessons of some sort, shoot I'll even take country line dancing classes.

Judy is right, it has come out recently that Pricilla actually went to some quack "Dr" that used unapproved substances he injected into his patients faces, claiming they were miracle drugs and better than botox. The injections (which was actually low grade sillicone) caused lumps, paralysis and ate away the tissue deep inside the tissues causing holes.

Scary.

Yep--I read about that recently, too. Evidently the surgeon was practicing without a medical license and Priscilla was not the only well-known victim. I believe he is in prison--or at least was.

I kinda liked Steve Guttenberg  He had an elegance to him on the dance floor--not the best dancer but there was something about him I liked.

I think Christian is a bad sport--don't care for him at all. I like Kristi, Marlee, Jason and Pricilla.

ditto........patti..............to save time  off to bed

nite all

I loved last night! Everyone I thought did so great.

My favorite dances were Jason, Marlee, Mario, and Shannon.

I really felt they scored Marlee too low, she deserved higher numbers IMO.

Green12 Enthusiast

Thanks for the memories Adam Carolla :D

I kind of figured it would be him to go home.....

Where did all my DWTS peeps go?!?!

It is awfully hard to keep up with 2 nights a week <_<

Judyin Philly Enthusiast
Where did all my DWTS peeps go?!?!

 You Nut....

I'm watching but doing so much spring clean up and gardening I collapse at nite. :o;)

I wasn't surprised nor was she I think.

I too thought Marlee did a great job.

I don't know enough about these dancses to see the mistakes

They all look good to me.

Still think Kristi is the best.

What are your thoughts?

Judy

dlp252 Apprentice

I watch the dances, but I never get to see who goes home. I loved the dances this week.

jerseyangel Proficient

I always enjoy "Latin Night"--those are my favorite dances :D

I would have preferred that Christian go than Priscilla, but that's how it goes.

I love watching Kristi and Mark dance--they are so in sync and fun to watch. They are my fav's.

I did feel bad for Derek, having to go on live TV with food poisoning :o Gotta give him credit for that--it had to have been awful. :(

dlp252 Apprentice

So Priscilla is out?!

jerseyangel Proficient
So Priscilla is out?!

Yes, she was eliminated last night.

There you guys are :D

What are your thoughts?

Judy, I agree. They all look pretty darn good to me considering they aren't dancers.

I loved Mario and Kristi the best this week. Mario and his partner I think really interpreted the dance well and Kristi is just a natural driven competitor.

Pricilla, Shannon, and Marlee especially all had a difficult night interpreting the dance.

I do agree though with the judges Pricilla was kind of disconnected and "thinking" too much (I think she gets nervous), Shannon could not get the hip action down, Marlee, bless her heart, really wanted to do better but it was very challenging to pick up all the different layers of the beats in the music.

Christian and Jason struggled with the hip action too, but I thought Jason did well despite that. I haven't been able to get behind Christian all season, not sure why.

I really thought it would be Shannon going home.

Green12 Enthusiast

Anybody watch last night?

Kristi and Jason were my faves.

I have always been a fan of Kristi's and have followed her ice skating career, but I had no idea she had overcome club feet.

jerseyangel Proficient

I've liked Kristi and Jason all along. I had no idea about Kristi's feet, either--she's overcome a lot!

I hate to admit it, but Christian did very well last night, too. <_<:P

Julie--are you TiVo'ing Big Bang Theory? I have been and we usually watch it later on in the week--but last night I couldn't wait--so we watched after DWTS

dlp252 Apprentice

I didn't watch....gaw! I guess I have to make a spreadsheet for the TV shows I have to keep track of!

Cristian did seem to flow much smoother last night

Patti- I never have watched Big Bang Theory, but I think of you when I see it advertised because I know it's one of your favorites

 Why not?!? A spreadsheet for all occasions!

You can catch them on You Tube if you really want to see what you missed.

It cracks me up every week :P

LOVED THE SHOW TOO

LIKE THE ONES YOU DO.

DON'T KNOW WHO WILL GO HOME TONIGHT.

DON'T KNOW WHO WILL GO HOME TONIGHT.

JUDY

Hi Judy :D

I'm totally bummed Marlee was sent home tonight :(

It's too bad she couldn't have gone on at least one more week to try to turn it around. I don't like to see her go on a low note, she was so upset and frustrated after the last two dances.

jerseyangel Proficient

I felt so bad for Marlee last night, too :( It seems like it got harder and harder for her each week.

After Christian and Cheryl were saved, did anyone else notice that he suddenly had a hard time stringing two words together--he was absolutely giddy! Gawd <_<

I LOVED the group dance--I alway enjoy that, but the country dance was so fun! :D

Guhlia Rising Star

I was sad to see Marlee go, but I knew it was her time. :(

Green12 Enthusiast

That was kind of odd what happened with Cristian last night

Jason is still my favorite. Loved Kristi's teal dress.

I was not taking any medications previous to this. I was a healthy 49 yo with some mild stomach discomfort. I noticed the onset of tinnitus earlier this year and I had Covid at the end of June. My first ‘flare-up’ with these symptoms was in August and I was eating gluten like normal. I had another flare-up in September and then got an upper endo at the end of September that showed possible celiac. My blood test came a week later. While I didn’t stop eating gluten before I had the blood test, I had cut back on food and gluten both. I had a flare-up with this symptoms after one week of gluten free but wasn’t being crazy careful. Then I had another flare-up this week. I think it might have been caused by Trader Joe’s baked tofu which I didn’t realize had wheat. But I don’t know if these flare-ups are caused by gluten or if there’s something else going on. I am food journaling and tracking all symptoms. I have lost 7 pounds in the last 10 days.

Welcome to the forum, @Hmart! There are other medical conditions besides celiac disease that can cause villous atrophy as well as some medications and for some people, the dairy protein casein. So, your question is a valid one. Especially in view of the fact that your antibody testing was negative, though there are also some seronegative celiacs. So, do you get reactions every time you consume gluten? If you were to purposely consume a slice of bread would you be certain to develop the symptoms you describe?

I only went on the multi vitamin AFTER a couple of year of high dose, targeted supplementation resolved most of my deficiencies.  I was on quite a cocktail of vitamins that was changed every 6 months as my deficiencies resolved.  Those that were determined to be genetic are still addressed with specific doses of those vitamins, minerals and amino acids. I have an update on my husband and his A Fib.  He ended up in the hospital in August 2025 when his A Fib would not convert.  He took the maximum dose of Flecainide allowed within a 24 hour period.  It was a nightmare experience!  They took him into the ER immediately.  They put in a line, drew blood, did an EKG and chest Xray all within minutes.  Never saw another human for 6 hours.  Never got any results, but obviously we could see he was still in A fib by watching the monitor.  They have the family sign up for text alerts at the ER desk.  So glad I did.  That is the only way we found out that he was being admitted.  About an hour after that text someone came to take him to his room on an observation floor.  We were there two hours before we saw another human being and believe it or not that was by zoom on the TV in the room.  It was admissions wanting to know his vaccine status and confirming his insurance, which we provided at the ER desk.  They said someone would be in and finally a nurse arrived.  He was told a hospitalist was in charge of his case.  Finally the NP for the hospitalist showed up and my husband literally blew his stack.  He got so angry and yelled at this poor woman, but it was exactly what he needed to convert himself to sinus rhythm while she was there.  They got an EKG machine and confirmed it.  She told him that they wanted to keep him overnight and would do an echo in the morning and they were concerned about a wound on his leg and wanted to do a doppler to make sure he did not have a DVT.  He agreed.  The echo showed everything fine, just as it was at his annual check up in June and there was no DVT.  A cardiologist finally showed up to discharge him and after reviewing his history said the A Fib was due to the Amoxicillan prescribed for his leg wound.  It both triggers A Fib and prevents the Flecainide from working.  His conversion coincided with the last dose of antibiotic getting out of his system.  So, make sure your PCP understands what antibiotics you can or cannot take if susceptible to A Fib.  This cardiologist (not his regular) wanted him on Metoprolol 25 mg and Pradaxa.  My husband told him that his cardiologist axed the idea of a beta blocker because his heart rate is already low.  Sure enough, it dropped to 42 on the Metoprolol and my husband felt horrible.  The pradaxa gave him a full body rash!  He went back to his cardiologist for follow up and his BP was fine and heart rate in the mid 50's.  He also axed the Pradaxa since my husband has low platelets, bruises easily and gets bloody noses just from Fish Oil  He suggested he take Black Cumin Seed Oil for inflammation.  He discovered that by taking the Black Seed oil, he can eat carbs and not go into A Fib, since it does such a good job of reducing inflammation.   Oh and I forgot to say the hospital bill was over $26,000.  Houston Methodist!

The symptoms that led to my diagnosis were stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea, body/nerve tingling and burning and chills. It went away after about four days but led me to a gastro who did an upper endo and found I had marsh 3b. I did the blood test for celiac and it came back negative.  I have gone gluten free. In week 1 I had a flare-up that was similar to my original symptoms. I got more careful/serious. Now at the end of week 2 I had another flare-up. These symptoms seem to get more intense. My questions:  1. How do I know if I have celiac and not something else? 2. Are these symptoms what others experience from gluten?  When I have a flare-up it’s completely debilitating. Can’t sleep, can’t eat, can’t move. Body just shakes. I have lost 10 pounds since going gluten free in the last two weeks.
