Has everyone seen this new option just announced?

I haven't been to Chik Fil A since diagnosis (or any fast food place), but it is a big presence around where I live. I am thinking of taking my children to try this as my son misses this kind of thing. It seems that the fruit and milk are definitely safe but I am so nervous - what are your feelings about the grilled chicken? Although I wouldn't give them the fries, those look safe because they actually are in a different kind of oil then the chicken (peanut vs. canola is my understanding), so they wouldn't even share a filter, right? Thoughts?

Those nuggets look great . . . my daughter will love them.

She has had the grilled chicken (bunless) in the past and also the waffle fries without any problems.

[The fries are completly safe. They are fried in seperate oil than the breaded chicken. ChickFila does a good job. Some of their Salads and dressings are safe. Just so you know, the breaded chicken is cooked completly seperately.(so no worries)

We always tell them we have a severe "allergy" (i know, i know!) and that they need to make things seperately with clean goves. She loves the sweet and sour sauce for the chicken and fries. We were there yesterday. Also, their ice cream is gluten-free. We order the fries and dip them in the ice cream. We are very sensitive to CC, and we just ask them to be very careful, change gloves, and not to prepare the food on the line where it could come into contact with everything else. Our local chickfila is great, but when we travel, I ask to speak to a manager when ordering incase they aren't as careful as ours. But we have good luck with them. We order the grilled chicken, now the chicken nuggets, the fries, side salads, grilled chicken salads, ice cream, fruit cup, coleslaw. Check their website for their gluten free list and just explain when ordering!

btw, we try to go when its off the busy times just to make it easier on everyone so they can be extra careful!

I always ask them if the salads are prepared away from gluten. I have one Chic fil A that is super awesome. I get the chargrilled chicken salad. I cannot wait to try these as well! I don't like the chargrilled chicken fil A, (never did before going gluten-free) so I haven't tried that. I also try to go when it is less busy. I'm going to try the fries soon! If anyone tries these nuggets, could you please post how you like them? I think this is great for children. To be able to get their own kids meal! :)

Does any one know if the Polynesian sauce is gluten free? Chick-fil-a has it listed as gluten free on their website bu the ingredient list says it contains "natural flavors". Anyone had any problems with it? I eat the fries all the time with no problems and ask for the nugget meals with my nuggets grilled and have had no problems.

Quick question I just thought of. Those of you that do eat the fries, do you order them differently? Have them change gloves etc?

Yes, I ask them to prepare fresh fries and to change their gloves. They are always willing and happy to help! I have ordered them a few times and have not asked them to fix new fries and to only change their gloves (my bad ... I know better) when I am in a hurry and dont' have my daughter with me, and I have gotten sick sometimes. So, from now on I always ask them to cook fresh fries and to change their gloves and I don't get sick! Good luck!

The Polynesian sauce (which I sometimes call the sweet and sour sauce) is gluten free. We have used it for years, and never had a reaction, and my Daughter and I are both very sensitive.

My sister-in-law works at our near by Chik-Fil-A and she told me about the fries and the new grilled nuggets. Chik-Fil-A seems to be really trying. And I am so happy to be able to have the waffle fries! It's the little pleasures, isn't it? :)

I will have to try them. I have had there gets and grilled chicken salads without problems. My daughter will be happy if she can have it.

I was wondering if you had to be a certain age to get the kid's meal, like at some other fast food restaurants you have to be like under 10. And do you think a chik-fil-a on a college campus would have these things. and if it does would you guys trust the students working to not cross contaminate it?

I would try the college campus ChickFilA. They should have these. If it is your first time, and you are worried about CC, just ask to talk to the Manager when placing your order and ask them to be careful to avoid CC and have them change your gloves and cook your items fresh for you. Sorry don't know about the age limit when ordering. Good luck!

I have never had a problem with Chick-fil-a. They do a really good job. A manager at a local store told me they can do the grilled nuggets and chicken strips. I finally got brave enough to try the nuggets. I personally would just as well have a chicken breast I cut up myself, but I am sure kids would really like it. I want to try the strips next.

      I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver.After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

      M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

      I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.

      Thank you for the kind words! I keep thinking that things in the medical community are improving, but a shocking number of people still post here who have already discovered gluten is their issue, and their doctors ordered a blood test and/or endoscopy for celiac disease, yet never mentioned that the protocol for such screening requires them to be eating gluten daily for weeks beforehand. Many have already gone gluten-free during their pre-screening period, thus their test results end up false negative, leaving them confused and sometimes untreated. It is sad that so few doctors attended your workshops, but it doesn't surprise me. It seems like the protocols for any type of screening should just pop up on their computer screens whenever any type of medical test is ordered, not just for celiac disease--such basic technological solutions could actually educate those in the medical community over time.
