  1. Just a note Vinegar,,, white distilled or apple cider vinegar in the US is gluten free..... flavored vinegars may not be.... Malt products are also not gluten-free...

  3. You said it "very Stupid move"" Celiac does not go away , you have it for life & the only way to control it's rath is a gluten-free diet 24/7 365 days a year, no cheating.. You may feel better because your intestinal tract healed which is a good thing! But there are NO CURES for celiac . SO if you start eating gluten...
  4. mercury overload can be dangerous.....Did your dentist use the mercury protocol when removing your mercury fillings? Many dentist just drill out the old mercury filling without precautions causing the patient to end up with a lot of medical issues....WE all have lead & mercury in our systems, it is when we get an overload...
  5. I'm not dairy free but have eaten non dairy cheeses, sour cream & so on & although not exactly a match they are pretty good... Fodmaps is another diet restriction , another is MCAS.... both are worth checking out but take one at a time so you will see what works & what doesn't..... And many medical people say...
  6. I too think I would try eliminate dairy to see if it helps.....there are many new good alternatives for dairy...... Also , I would immediately put her on Digestive enzymes , prebiotics, & probiotics ... Her otc med is killing(depleting) off any good bacteria she may have... we need good flora in the gut.. After a dairy...
  7. If a person is a super sensitive celiac then they eat only from a dedicated /gluten-free business... But with that being said it does limit gluten-free choices & varieties.... but again some have no choice they just get very ill so it is a must for them....and they usually figure that out as they go along with...
  8. Dee is correct.. If she was not eating enough gluten her test will not be accurate..... We have put two kids through school being gluten-free.. The youngest was dx'd at age 2 1/2 & the other was 7-8 yrs old.....We matched every party at school ie: birthdays where parents brought in the treat or Halloween party &...

  10. eleven years ago I to was given a death sentence of ALS... Got my medical disability quickly ....after three months I was able to walk & talk again & the choking became less & less...I was brought to celiac by divine intervention & never heard of it before that..., I have ups & downs but I'm alive......

  12. how kind of you to feed another's cat..... not many like you... Yes, if you go to any of the major pet food stores you will find gluten free cat food... Our kitty likes Wellness brand & wervuva ( sp?) brand.... but there are many others.... Thanks again for feeding kitties! Our animals all are gluten-free....
  13. Beef jerky, crackers, seeds & nuts , there are many gluten-free freezer dried meals from various vendors... Dried fruit, protein bars all make good snacks or light lunches.... we really like many of the freeze dried breakfast , & dinner meals....If there is a ranch hand cooking meals perhaps they can do meats plain...

I travel a lot & eat-n-parks are in this tri state area but I have never seen a menu that listed onion rings as gluten-free..... if that is a correct statement then the corporate office needs to know... What I don't get is the menu's are all alike in every eat-n-park.. They do change...

  17. I too have to agree with the other posters... But I do live with others who are not gluten-free.. I do have a gluten-free kitchen & we are eat gluten-free. But there are times where I need to make something that isn't gluten-free ( only because of the cost of flours I do this) ie: a funeral dinner; a bridal shower .. I sometimes...
  18. Eat-N-Park isn't perfect but the servers can be uniformed....so the cook doesn't get the correct info... We & hundreds of fellow celiac people eat at this restaurant.. It is not an up scale restaurant where they cater to you... Eat-N-Park has bent over backwards for the gluten-free community... Yes, crap happens...
  19. do lots & lots of research on backyard chickens.....Consider how you will raise your chickens. Cooped & free range or cooped & confined.. What about neighbors? Not knowing where you live some places have laws about raising chickens & other small livestock...Will you have a rooster? Even though it seems chickens...
  20. any animal that goes or lives outside can get fleas. Fleas can be brought into the home on your shoes/clothes you don't have to be sitting on grass ! perhaps your Dad does not care for cats.... Since fleas & ticks were terrible the last few years the frontline, advantage & so on seemed not to work very well. Hopefully...
  21. cellulose can be a problem for many.Thyroid people seem to have issues a lot with it....I personally don't think it has anything to do with celiac or gluten...Plus once you start checking it out , it is hundreds of things....

Omar has the best breads.....there is a restaurant a crossed or up the street from him who uses his bread s ... very good, I also get a roll from him &...
  24. I wish everyone on here would list their state or the closest largest city to them... It would help us better help them.... esp. when someone asks about finding a good support group, doctor or gluten-free restaurant...or where to gluten-free shop.....This site has great information but its useless when we give them ...
