    this year girl scouts do have a gluten-free cookie ! It is sold in certain regions of the US..... You can look on their site for the specific regions..... Next if you Google gluten-free thin mints, samosa's & so , several blogs have cloned most of if not all girl scout cookies to be gluten-free.... hth

    You already got some good advice.....find a good support group in your area & latch onto an old devoted strict celiac to help you through the learning phase....You can find support group info through the CSA, Gluten intolerance group. & many others....

    Expos are great esp. for newbies... It is also a good way to sample gluten-free foods before one actually pays a high price for a product they can't swallow!!!! And most of all it is always nice to connect to others who survive the gluten-free lifestyle...some are better than others....

    sorry I can't answer about the GNC product. But I do know there are many protein drinks & bars that are gluten-free.....we like whey to go protein shakes.. another is Dr Siskind protein shakes. These are the two we enjoy... Bars: pure fit, quest, uber , comfort bars again our favs....

    I'm not big on Asian foods but I do have one or two I enjoy. One calls for chili paste. I couldn't find that so I used " Lee Kum Kee" brand chili garlic sauce with success....ingredients: salted chili peppers, garlic, sugar,rice vinegar, water, modified corn starch, acetic acid....

    Okay I have a different approach... my gluten hubby eats mostly gluten-free but if he wants wheat bread it goes out on the open porch in summer or else in the outside garage in the winter months.......that is where the wheat breadmaker lives!!!!!     75% of my shopping is done online... Small town USA....!!!!! Plus buying in multiplies can cut cost of gluten-free by a lot......It is always good to have a small stash on hand just in case of an emergency ie: storms & such.....

    I agree Russo's is soooo good. I haven't seen it in any stores in my area yet... I meet Chef Russo at the Food Expo East... I lucked out & he gave me five gluten-free pizzas for sampling my support group.....Now we wait for Russo's to spread their wings!!!!
