  1. I think she wants to know what brand. Different brands are made with a different combo of flours. Some combos seem to work better than others for different baked goods.
  2. Many Celiacs don't use dairy because the damaged villi are the part that makes the enzyme to digest lactose. Please provide reliable, scientific sources for these theories of yours. Manufacturers aren't having to take gluten-free off soy products that are gluten-free. We just want to help you and give you accurate info. You might want to read the University...
  3. This doesn't sound like a glutening from 10 days ago. Maybe you have caught something? If you feel like you should go to the hospital, you can call 911.
  4. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Don't see a mention of " gluten lite".
  5. Did you say on another thread that you had some other illnesses? Maybe this is from them?
  6. It doesn't look like it has any. The problem might be that, when a restauruant does gluten-free correctly and goes for certifications, there are certain standards that must be met. One of them is that they have to repeatedly check with suppliers about the gluten-free status of foods that they buy. Red Robin may have decided it is too hard to assure a...
  7. Looks like he posted this on Facebook- " Bart's Bakery We believe in following an acceptable scientific protocol before publishing results. Like · Reply · Yesterday at 2:20pm"
  8. There are no reputable Celiac centers or associations that I am aware of that say that Celiacs cannot have soy. If you have a legitimate source, please post it. Like I said before, there are people, Celiac or not Celiac, who have issues with soy.
  9. Haven't seen any statement from Bart yet. Seems like he may be very inconstant in his practices.
  10. When I went to feed the cat my hub said "Gracie needs her astronaut food."
  11. So true! Products get moved in front of or away from those tags. But they are helpful. Be careful with those apps. Some of them will tell you something isn't gluten-free because they don't have it in their data base. It would be nice if another Celiac could shop with you a time or two. You are in the US, and wheat has to be clearly labelled...
  12. They are very cute! I have a black lab who LOVES little white fluffy dogs. They are his favorite! (not to eat, Psillies) We used to think we were going to have to get him his own little white fluffy but the backyard neighbors got one instead. That worked great. My hub made a gate in the wrought iron fence so they can visit each other's yard.
  13. I don't see how lotion is making your antibodies "not good". Use your Cetaphil. Just because a company doesn't test its products for gluten, doesn't mean it has gluten in it. You don't eat it so I would look for some other reasons. Some things to check - Are there gluten eaters in your house? That could be leading to some shared crumbs. Are you...
  14. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=G4Sn91t1V4g Great video about a cat talking to the new kitten
  15. New Planet Amber Ale Belgian Ale Blonde Ale Brown Ale Pale Ale Raspberry Ale Redbridge Beer made from Sorghum New Grist Gluten-Free Pilsner Style Beer Bard's Gold Sorghum Malt Beer Hmmm... Didn't I say the same thing? Lol.
  16. I don't know if its a cream cheese fudge, cooked fudge or what but we keep fudge for a month in a tight sealed container in the fridge. Take a piece out for 10 minutes before eating if you can wait.
  17. If it were me..... I would go with Celiac Research Centers for my info on this. They are giving an educated guess, so a little extra won't hurt. I think the point of a challenge is the length of time over the amount per day. So...eating a loaf of whole wheat a day for a week, might not be enough TIME to make enough antibodies to show in the blood tests...
  18. Will you send me a bottle? That sounds yummy! From a gluten-free stand point, that looks fine to me. Some people will quibble about the healthiness of the ingredients, but that's the nature of the Internet. If it had wheat, it would have to clearly label that. If it contained malt vinegar, it would label it too - that's a special ingredient to...
  19. I didn't notice the new planet - it had a gluten-free in a different column than the Redbridge which said " Gluten free". I don't know anything about .crabbies or ginger beer. Yes, ciders are gluten-free, but I thought we & you were talking about beer? The main gluten-free beers in the US are Bards, Redbridge, New Planet, & New Grist as I mentioned...
  20. Everyone these are not gluten-free beers. It looks like there is only 1 gluten-free beer that I see, Redbridge, on the list. I don't want you to miss understand - this is not a list of gluten-free beers.
  21. So many to choose from. I like the penguin and the fish coming out. or or or or
  22. A toddler who was found chewing on a slug. After the initial surge of disgust the parent said, "Well, what does it taste like?" "Worms," was the reply.
  23. I am sure a lot of people are wondering about this. Maybe you could start a new thread in the " labeling" section? Maybe google a few links to discuss? I know the actual law is on- line and some articles from Celiac associations. That would be great!
