  1. That is possible. They didn't feed you did they? Or give you a " contrast" for an X-ray to drink?
  2. I have one of these we could use. Only ours has real roll bars, real racing seats and harnesses and a souped up engine and suspension. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2012/06/08/hemmings-find-of-the-day-1990-mazda-miata/
  3. Gluten would not be in an IV or injected medication. It is a large molecule and likely would clog things up. Gluten must be in the intestines to cause an antibody reaction Open Original Shared Link
  4. Click on your odd twins picture (default pic). It will take you to your " account". Towards the top right is a blue box " my profile". Click it. Its actually your profile not mine. . Choose some of those new options and see what sort of trouble you can stir up.
  5. Too funny! I can't ( or maybe, won't ) tell you how long I was on this forum before I even saw a " multi- quote" button! Open Original Shared Link
  6. This thread is almost 5 years old. Product ingredients change in that amount of time. Check the ingredients yourself before eating.
  7. You are replying to someone who hasn't been on here in 6 years, FYI.
  8. Don't go gluten free until you do the Celiac testing. If you want to be tested. The blood tests test for antibodies. You don't make antibodies if you aren't eating gluten.
  9. Around here, Whole Foods has 4 or 5 kinds. Some are in the gluten-free section and some are in the frozen section.
  10. About 30% of the population has the gene or genes that are currently recognized as associated with Celiac. They appear to be the type of genes that need a trigger to activate. There is info about that on many reputable Celiac sites. Not sure what this " unbeliever" stuff is about? We do have a couple of genetic scientists who post on here occasionally...
  11. Yeast extract would be yeast. It isn't gluten. Not sure why a company would feel that is a "Natural" ingredient in broth? Ugh!
  12. Its about the color of my eyes, too! and it goes great with my hair. The pic I took is too big to be my av apparently.
  13. I have a little red convertible and a new 4 wheel drive Subaru to get thru the mountains. Not sure which to take on this trip! Sounds good to me.
  14. Wendy, I'm a bit worried about you. You are posting every few minutes, whether you have a comment or not. Stop and take a breath. I think the idea of meditation or Yoga or something might be a very good idea. Get out and find something to do. Trying turnip greens....try something else. There is no calories or protein in turnip greens.
  15. I think what your hub is worried aboout is that you don't eat a very balanced diet. Maybe some veggies or fruit? some protein? Fiber? No one will digest well on that limited diet.
  16. Soy doesn't contain gluten. Read the ingredients of products to see if any gluten is added.
  17. I would be curious to know how it goes for him. Does he have an actual diagnosis from a doctor? It probably depends on the actual jail. If he is going to his own job during the day and back to jail at night, he could get something he could eat during the day? Its funny how all you have to do is say that you have a religious reason to eat Kosher or Halal...
  18. I guess I was assuming she didn't already take medical deductions. Or use a tax advisor. I know that we have health insurance so we don't have a big enough % of income spent on medical. I maybe spend an average of $20-30 a month on things that are not naturally gluten-free. Then that pasta, flour, etc is mostly consumed by non-Celiacs. You can't deduct...
  19. In the US, this is difficult. Your medical expenses have to be a certain percentage of your income. Then you have to show that a regular loaf of bread costs $3 and gluten-free costs $6 so you can use the $3 difference on the taxes. If everyone is eating the gluten-free bread, you might get caught trying to say 1 kid eats 2 loaves a week. The medical deductions...
  20. We made a chicken pot pie thingy with the bisquick on top. That was pretty good. The recipe on the Bisquick site uses cans of Progresso gluten-free soup so it was a bit salty.
  21. He can't figure out what is gluten and what isn't, he likes Spaghettios, your dog doesn't like him, and he can't even warm your bed.....why do you keep him? We need to get you a new "room mate". Maybe one of the cabana boys?
  22. Think of the reactions of those " foodies" to some of the dinners we have posted on here. Like the gluten-free pretzels and wine or a bowl of Chex cereal
