  1. Depends on who makes them, processing facilities, and packaging plants, they are naturally gluten free, get ones in the shell still wash them crack them and eat the safe insides? ....most of us get their nuts Open Original Shared Link
  2. When ever a cealic eats at a place that handles gluten in the kitchen it is like playing Russian roulette, chains vary from store to store and depend on staff training, management, and kitchen. You have to call the one your going to and ask about dedicated cookware/area for gluten free and if they feel comfortable they can serve someone who has celiac and...
  3. I have heard of someone else having it, but I never have. I have gotten reactions from some cigars before back before I quit smoking. I still use a CBD oil vape pen and found I can use some of the same capella flavors I use in baking and food in the pan lately. No issue from them and my own blends. There had been I case I recall from someone getting gluten...
  4. Well I live in Ennis and have a spare room, been looking for a possible room mate for years myself. Have you tried posting in the local Dallas celiac facebook group? PS if you ever come down here for the polka festival, or bluebonnet festival my rates beat the hotels lol. Open Original Shared Link
  5. Blood panel will require a gluten challenge of eating gluten every day for 12 weeks. Read up here Open Original Shared Link I would suggest the further testing...I used to only have the constipation and it was not til this last year I started having Diarrhea issues with gluten poisonings bowl movement wise. The constipation and extremeites tingling is...
  6. If you need help I can tell you subs for everything lol. Lactose intolerant for over a decade here and got a whey allergy later. I still eat vegan cheese daily, and drink and use almond/coconut/cashew/macadamia milk in everything. I even use coconut oil from nutiva that is butter flavored in my baked goods even in my bakery. New more calories? Try almond...
  7. GMO or not the gluten protein sequence is the same in both plants if they are wheat based. Some celiacs react to different levels to different strains of gluten containing grains, IE, barley, rye, and different strains of wheat. What they all have in common is that they all cause the antibodies to rise in the background and our immune system to attack our...
  8. First....when first getting off...it can take weeks to months for the reactions to stop and go down. YOU HAVE active antibodies to gluten in your body that are STILL attacking your insides. They will keep this up for weeks, and they will start all over again if you eat a bloody crumb. Celiac is a auto immune disease, its your immune system, and it now and...
  9. I would push for retesting the blood, and a endoscope with biopsy. Some celiacs, will not test positive on the blood test, and have to have the endoscope done and biopsy to confirm. With it in the family, all her symptoms I would say she probably has it or has Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity. Keep her on gluten and get the full testing done and push for a endoscope...
  10. Well keep eating gluten til all testing is done including the follow up endoscope and biopsy they will do to check for villi damage. Open Original Shared Link The tiredness is often caused by nutrient deficiency from the damaged vili with celiac disease commonly the whole B-vitamin spectrum. The lack of sleep could be from b-6, magnesium, and complications...
  11. Doubtful at least in the way your probably thinking. Celiac is a genetic disease, like in your genes and just becomes active in some. Being a autoimmune disease the concept is your own immune system is trying to kill you while trying to get rid of the gluten that it perceives as a foreign invader. A "Cure" would be on the genetic editing level like the new...
  12. I think I answered the breakfast question 3 times already? Eggs in every which way(scrambles, omelettes, quiche, sheets), nut meal porridge, or grain free toast (run my own bakery and make a low carb bread from nut flours, bit like Julian bakery or Mikey muffins with the low carb paleo concept) with avocado or almond butter are some of mine. Others here eat...
  13. Many Celiacs are completely fine with carbs, sugars etc. I am a rare case due to another disease, and it flares up with them. BUT I was point out with you because you were trying to go healthier and avoid the bloat and distention which can be made worse by carbs/sugars. And running on the assumption it might be in part due to other issues like SIBO or Candida...
  14. Could be something more, SIBO, Candida, UC, all would bloat you with sugars carbs. The chance of CC is still present, but doubtful if just a orange triggered it...not like you cut it with a gluten knife, on a gluten cutting board. And no one is cooking with flour in the house right? A intolerance, or food sensitivity is also a concern, it is not uncommon...
  15. Umm, the pizza crust I mentioned is low carb...it is marketed as a health oriented pizza. I use the plant based one...it is a cauliflower pizza with no grains in it. Honestly it is healthier then most gluten free breads, at just 90 calories for 1/3 of the crust and just 6 total carbs (3net). I have made it extra crispy for chips, in strips, breakfast pizza...
  16. Most can reintroduce it after 6 months or so....me I am forever lactose tolerant, and a whey allergy. BTW I still eat pizza, cheese, etc all the time...they make dairy free and grain free everything lol. Check that list, I use Califlour Foods pizza, bit more like a flat bread but it works, I use non dairy cheese like miyoko on my pizza often sometimes I use...
  17. Check the newbie 101 section, honestly if you did not clean your your stuff, decon, throw out CC condiment jars, scratched pots, pans, bowls, colanders etc...you still having traces of gluten. But it is going to take weeks for your to notice gut improvements, other symptoms will go away over months....you will find many things that you thought were normal...
  18. This is a fermented recipe....you do not want to keep any left over batter, use it all and keep the cooked product in your fridge or freezer, use wax paper between each of the, injera.
  19. Unsure it does have issues with the brain via ataxia in some, can cause imbalances due to b-vitamin and magnesium deficiency. So Spectrum B-vitamin supplementation. Dissociation....so many different perspectives with this, I for one am a bit of a introvert, and find true happiness in imagined senerios in my head when alone....or used to, imagination...
  20. Depends person to person, but brain damage and spinal damage are really slow to heal. If your ataxia is peripheral then it should heal much faster. But also consider if it is in the brain the human body/brain can rearrange neurons to restructure itself to compensate for damage. So there are many variables to consider.
  21. OK were you eating gluten daily 12 weeks prior to the test? You have to be eating it daily in something we call a gluten challenge for the test to work, even then some people it does not show up on and have to get the endoscope and biopsy which might still miss it. Open Original Shared Link The burning skins, numbness, tingling....this is magnesium and...
  22. Are you celiac, and gluten free? Were you tested recently, especially follow up test to see if your antibodies are still active? What is your diet? Do you take supplements? First thoughts with weight gain and hair, Healthy Fats, avocado, almond butter the two big ones, taking protein powder throughout the day and between meals can help. Stuff...
  23. It could be Celiac related it could not I would suggest checking here on a gluten challenge and getting the testing done with the complete panel, Open Original Shared Link IT could be many things, autoimmune disease normally show in in blood test in some form, the ulcers could be a sign of food allergies or a immune response to something, or they...
  24. So I was also bidding on this nice impinger oven, I held the high bid by a miracle for almost 20 days, I also had a heated cabinet, a convection oven, and a nice deli case. See I was planning on doing sheet pan meals in the impinger and doing a gluten free/paleo meal delivery service and using the deli case in my bakery. Had customers lined up and everything...
  25. I have gained back some feeling in my hands, and am starting to gain back heat sensitivity over the past few years. It seems to get worse with glutenings. But after my last exposure earlier this year and being very strict with my diet and supplementing a bit more I am noticing the feelings more. I still can not do math any easier and my comprehension of complex...
