  1. ON the contrary....it makes great stools lol. 1 tsp of pure psyllium husk makes 1 cup of stool mass.......I use 1tbsp to 12 standard rolls or double it for super chewy ones. I normally only eat 1 and it makes 12. If you have loose stool issues psyllium will firm them up nicely .....I turned up my intake after my last glutening to stop the cow pies. PS forgive...
  2. My bakery uses guar gum in something but we changed to grain free mostly and using psylium husk in many of our new recipes, it gives a amazing chewy texture to breads etc. I got some simple keto roll recipes in my blog here you can try it out in. >.< I can only tolerate xantham gum in the tiniest amounts in a few supplements. Seems when I tried it in...
  3. I use coconut/almond/cashewmilk. and use 2 capsules of Nature Way Fortify 50Billion in a mason jar...warm the milk up dump and blend in the capsule contents sometimes adding an a scoop of protein powder ( I found one with inulin in it that the little buggers love) and letting it sit for 24-48 hours....the whole oven thing seems like overkill, mine thickens...
  4. Your posting on a thread with a previous response from 2011, try starting a new thread. On your issues you mention no deficiency but I most attest that the pins and needles correlates to B-vitamins or magnesium both of which effect nerve response and can trigger this symptoms. It might not even show up as a deficiency on test but you will find supplementing...
  5. Due to the amount you eat I do not see this as a gluten issue but a starch carb issue. If you suspect gluten is a issue try the celaic blood test, your eating enough for the test and the simple blood test by any doctor will rule it out. MY thoughts are that your bloat and other issues are caused by the bacteria in your gut going a bit crazy with the heavy...
  6. LOL yeah miralax was a joke for me WHOLE BOTTLE NOTHING, doctors thought I was lying. I found the ONLY thing that works for me is Magnesium Citrate, the bottled fizzy stuff for colon preps. Daily maintenance requires me to take Natural Vitality Calm daily, you dose to tolerance start off at 1/4 tsp 1-2 times a day and up it to the full dose over a week. If...
  7. I would say no even then....it belongs in its own little corner in hell. We have had members get sick from cross contact touching and handling paper mache, playdough, and dry wall spackle containing wheat then touching their mouths, or food.....heck you can inhale the powder from the sanding spackle and have it get trapped in the mucus in you respiratory...
  8. Cross reactivity is a bit of a myth type thing, but we do get food sensitivities and intolerance issues that do creep up and they are always different for each person. A food diary and keeping track of what causes symptoms is what you need to do. Here is a true gluten avoidance list and a article on food sensitivities. /celiac-disease/forbidden-gluten-food...
  9. ....oh wow this is almost identical to our recipe base in my bakery...we use Lakanto syrup for our sugar free bit runnier then most and keeps them better, adding a bit of arrow root, starch and adjusting the liquid will make them crispier. We actually discontenuied our cookies due to pricing being as "retarded" as it was according to customers....but almond...
  10. Celiac disease can be dormant for years til a strain/stress to the immune system makes it come out. Many of us have had this issues, your infection run in might have triggered the dormant genes for the disease if you had them. I would follow up with the testing, see about getting a full celiac blood panel if you can, you have to be eating gluten for 12 weeks...
  11. I did a bit of a compilation of gluten free foods, you can find just about everything gluten-free now you just have to pay a bit more and shop around. I have gotten great at cooking gluten-free also....and bashing cravings with extracts....heck I just did a fun experiment where I wanted a super chewy gluten like bread, I did my own bread recipe with double...
  12. .....damn I thought I had run into stupid doctors on my own, yours flip flop more then a ADHD kid and I should know that one. Yep celiac and gluten-free for life....get copies of all your POSITIVE test and compile them in a folder, write the others off as doctor stupid was tripping on acid. Get copies of all your medical records and personally take them to...
  13. Gluten is a protein smaller then blood, bleach does not kill it as it is not a germ. I would replace scratched pans. baking dishes, tubaware, wooden utensils, colanders, etc. Throw out crumby condiment jars and any non gluten-free spices and condiments. Cast Iron can be saved and some metal utensils by putting in your oven self clean cycle, 500F will destroy...
  14. IF your still getting cramps look into supplementing with Magnesium, either Natural Vitality Calm or Doctors best in the glycinate powder. Depending on other symptoms and the way your body works depends on which form is best. Calm is best if you have hard stools, do not go daily with a BM you start it off small 1/4tsp and work it up to the full dose over...
  15. This could be related to nutrient deficiencies such as multip B-vitamins, magnesium, primarily with some others to consider like vitamin D E and iron. But my concern with be diabetes also, it is a fact that diabetes and celiac go hand in hand often. AND if you eat gluten free processed food often you are eating a ton more starch, carbs, and sugars then you...
  16. Celiac disease is a bit like a chameleon in symptoms with over 500 known combinations (someone else said this number). It being a autoimmune disease it would not be unheard of it effecting the lymph nodes and in fact early on my first signs of a CC was tightening and swelling of the ones in my neck. I have not noticed this with my past few encounters in the...
  17. ...I use my vegan cheese sauce recipes in cheesy casserole dishes....they can be bit iffy....I just used my vegan bacon cheese mix and poured it over a large rectangle baking dish of broccoli and topped with shredded vegan cheddar Sunday for this weeks veggie dish. Check the recipe blog on my profile I have various vegan cheese dishes on their, the whole...
  18. Adding the Frito Lay list that was updated a week or so ago Open Original Shared Link
  19. Sounds great, one of my dreams is to open a grain free/gluten free food truck.......stone and mortar places would not do well here, but a mobile one able to cater....LOL dream I know, fundraiser has flopped and been running for a year. Hell I had the quotes up, the whole sale contracts setup, the business model and plan. I even tried to get loans, and business...
  20. ....post is 12 years old, please check the dates, On a side note to this topic, I had no gluten issues with tide but it caused itching for other reasons I went with Rockin Green and Mollys Suds for a natural detergent years ago. You get like 70-90loads from a bag try, Amazon, Luckyvitamin, or Thrive for them.
  21. I am actually trying to bulk up and body build with this disease. I go with a keto diet of fats and protein, I use vegan protein powders throughout the day. I used to use nutrakey V-Pro and now mostly use MRM Veggie Elite, blend, and do my own mixes with Naked Pea, Jarrow Pumpkin seed, MRM Sancha Inchi, and various blends from Julian Bakery pegan line. I...
  22. LOL sorry but really? You trust that, dominos, papa johns, and pizza hut ALL say they can not 100% guarantee their gluten-free pizza are celiac safe. THEY USE the same prep areas, same ingredient bins, same ovens and in many cases the same cutters and spoons used to spread the sauces and cut the pizza. I doubt the employees would even bother changing gloves...
  23. Yeah someone else said a few weeks ago that there local manger was very antimate that NONE of their shakes with celiac safe....as pointed out if one shake has gluten.....they use the same shake mixing machine...so THEY ALL will have gluten at that facility.....
  24. In many cases no.....I consume heavy magnesium foods like pumpkin seeds, cocoa nibs etc....and still need 2-3x the dose of magnesium recommendations. Going on more of what poster boy said. You dose magnesium to tolerance with citrate like Natural Vitality Calm you start off small partial doses and slow ramp up....it can hit you hard causing gas and D if you...
