  2. My mother in law said something like this statement of "Grandma" and right after that we discovered she had dementia. She too thought you could "kill" gluten in the oven.

  9. Lactose intolerance tip: keep in mind that like gluten, lactose is in a lot of foods as a single ingredient. So check labels for this as well. It can be found in (besides obviously in diary foods) margarines in amounts higher than what is naturally found in pure butter, found in frozen foods, in candies, in grocery items, buttered popcorn, prescriptions...
  10. I'd like to add the "EVERY OTHER RULE" - meaning that if stall #1 is taken and stall #2-5 is open, then the "newcomer" into the bathroom should take stall Nos. 3-5 as a courtesy to person in #1. This would apply also if say #1 and #2 are occupied, #3 is empty then take #4. It's a way of perserving your and the other person's "space." Years ago...
  11. I want to bring up the sodium content of MSG again because if I am not mistaken, MSG is abbreviation for Mono-SODIUM glutamate...and I believe that this ingredient is a salt..if you look at the label of the product and know that for example that corn has 0% sodium in its natural state, that if there's the least bit of MSG the percentage of sodium would...

  18. This makes sense. I am not celiac (hubby is) and gluten-free foods don't bother me. A rice sensitivity also makes sense; does he normally eat rice? If no rice problems, then I'd place my bet on him not being used to eating fiber.
  19. I can see that poem as a lyric for a rap or hip hop hit.....

  22. A lot of good advice here. A lot of my problem is as Tiffany mentioned -- poor management decisions affecting my work load and performance (as regards tools to do the job and too heavy of a work load). I'd rather not tell them. My industry is small and sometimes a bad reference is given "off record" and one will never know it was done, you'd just...
