Mission Brand Gluten Free Flour Tortilla!

I'm not sure if you know about these, but Mission started making gluten free tortillas! They're really, really good. They look, feel and taste like a real flour tortillas! I've found them at Von's, Ralph's and Albertsons in Riverside, CA. They're just stuck in with all the regular tortillas. There's nothing about them on Missions website and I emailed them but haven't heard back.

I just wanted to share this exciting find! I hate it when they release a new gluten-free product but no one knows about it so they don't sell well and end up discontinuing them. If you're like me you don't even look in the bread and tortilla section anymore :-) I found out about them by a fluke. My college daughter was home for Christmas break and one of her friends from school tagged her in a Facebook post from a Colorado Celiac group asking if anyone had seen the new Mission gluten-free tortillas in the store. Someone had heard they existed but no one believed it and there was nothing about them existing online anywhere. The next day my husband was at Albertsons and saw them on the end cap tortilla section and brought me home a pack.

I'm not sure how to post a picture, I haven't been on here in years. I have a picture of the front and ingredients.

Thank you for posting the picture and the ingredients.

It's much better to find out at home if the product has another ingredient that makes it off limits for your household.  I would have wanted to cry at the store.

I have not seen that one!.  Their corn tortillas and chips have always been gluten-free and are now listed as such.

Thanks.  Now I know to look for these!

edit- I don't see them listed on their website yet! Do you mind saying what part of the country you are in?  Sometimes, new products do a test market or roll out in certain areas first.

I'm in Southern California.

Time to run to the grocery store!!!!!! :o

I would have never known to look for these, thank you for the heads up!   They are a big brand around here so surely someone has to have it.  Quite exciting.

I think they taste like regular flour tortillas! They're really good!! Kinda pricey but what gluten free product isn't?! I think they're $5 for 8 tortillas.

I thought I posted this last night but I dint see it. A guy from Mission tortillas called me back and said right now they're only available in Washington, Oregon, California and Arizona. They're hoping to have them nationwide soon.

I'll have to wait then. Thanks so much for the info. & I'll be on the lookout for them coming to Florida.

Okay, so that's why I could find them.

Aldi has some gluten-free tortillas also.  Theirs have soy flour as well so might not work for some people.  But they are cheap anyway.

"Conclusions: The urinary iodine level was significantly lower in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, and iodine replacement may be important in preventing osteoporosis"  Body iodine status in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis Low iodine can cause thyroid problems, but Iodine deficiency will not show up in thyroid tests.  Iodine is important for healing, its job is to kill off defective and aging cells (Apoptosis). Skin, brain fog, nails, muscle tone all inproved when I started taking 600 mcg (RDA 150 - 1000 mcg) of Liquid Iodine drops. Some with dermatitis herpetiformis, Iodine exacerbates the rash.  I started at 1 drop (50 mcg) and worked up to 12 drops, but I don't have dermatitis herpetiformis.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and I found myself giggling with happiness as I read how your body reached such spring! And I hope that your current journey is also successful!! Definitely starting the food diary! So many amazing advices. And it’s very scary. It really hits all our soft spots as well as our confidence system. Most doctors I went thought I was underage despite being in my late 20s. Right now I look like am I twelve, but is also this body that’s taking so much, so I might as well love it too! Going to make the necessary changes and stay in this path. Thank you again! 🫶

Thank you so much for the information and kind message! Reading this transformed how I’ve been viewing my efforts and progress. Guess there’s still a lot to celebrate and also heal 😌  Yes, I’ve been taking it! Just recently started taking a multivitamin supplement and separated vitamin D! I also took chewable Iron polymaltose for ferritin deficiency 2 months ago but was unable to absorb any of it.  Thank you again! Hearing such gentle words from the community makes my body and heart more patient and excited for the future.
