so i have NO idea what is going on in this thread cause i haven't been on it since like 2007 and i really don't feel like reading through almost that many pages but i'm just saying HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

and i miss you guys, adn school has taken over my life so im in the library procrastinating right now from doing my homework cause i'm sick of it

As Queen I feel I must inform you that, in order to return, you must answer a few simple questions......the test will be next Fri.......25 fill-in-the-blank, 50 short answer, 15 true/false, and a short essay, double spaced, cover page, time-line, flow chart........... ;)

im here for a short while, i go through phases of being here and now so if anyone doesn't know me it's cuase i haven't been back for a while, like since summer or something, don't really remember when i was on here last, someone else can probably answer that a LOT better than i can

i thikn the last time i was on the layout was BLUE

ok it hasn't been THAT long, i'm exagerating i think...i kinda miss the blue hahah

school IS AWESOME

i'm a chem major with spanish and psych and maybe bio minors

yes i know i kill myself, i think i study double any of my friends at least.

life is good, gluten free is great, hte food system here is great, so any teens applying to college come to university of puget sound, they have good gluten free food!

life is amazing, tacoma is awesome

uh i don't remember what other questions were asked haha.

ask me again cause i'm done with homework and will be up for AT LEAST another hour before i totally crash

o i went to DC for inauguration and froze my feet off and lived off of 7-11 food by my sisters dorm for a week, aka i didn't really eat other than the gluten free restaruant i went to in MD the first day...

OK random random questions that i dont' think anyone will knwo but i've been wondering for like 3 years

so there's this song i leared when i was like 3 abotu celiac disease and goes

"oats, wheat, rye and barley no, malt and millet have to go, corn and rice i'll eat instead with these i can be well fed"

"celiacs have lots to eat fruit and vegetable and meat"

AND THERE"S ANOTHER LINE AND I CAN"T REMEMBER IT FOR THE LIFE OF ME, anyone know it? seeing as i learned it in 1993 i'm doubting

and i'm comign up on my 17 years of being gluten free! woohoo!

Well scott is #1 of course

then there are a few people who haven't ever posted, tarnalberry and judy and angeljd1 then me, we all joined on the first day the new forums started, i remember the old forums, i think i was the only young person on them, that was from like 2000-2003 when this one started in december of 2003, so i've been on it from the beginning, beginning, beginning hah.

but hten school started up and i didn't have as much time, i was a moderator but i didn't log on for a year and scott rightfully demoted me cause i wasn't doing anything but i have a lot of knowlegde about celiac!

a lot of the older users stopped a while back, like celiac3270 (who i still talk to...) and all the oldies

it's been a good journey

almost been 17 years gluten freeeeee!!!

Hoping our Psoozie is going check in. Her little kitty is so cute!

I am so glad it is friday! I am just ready for the weekend. We are making a voyage to see my mom tomorrow.

and I hear this weekend it is going to be in the 40's and 50's!!!! not complaining there!

A Molly poop-in! :) How delightful......I chatted with her mum at the Stanford Celiac conference a couple of years ago, and saw Molly bopping along with many friends off in the distance. Darling girl!

Well......I"ll find out in a couple of hours about Peanut but I am fearing the worst as - proper protocol was not really followed yesterday, I've found out. :(

Some sillies know but not all - - I poisoned my own kitten with flea medication yesterday. :( He seized and convulsed, had been doing so for at least three hours when I got home and found him wedged under my bed. Absolutely heartbreaking and.......I could not afford the nearly $800 to treat him. So, he stayed there unattended all night on phenobarbitol, I will know soon. Spent half the night weeping over the little kitten we have fallen in love with.

I"ll keep you posted......it doesn't look good, though.

BTW, did some research last night on flea medication poisoning and there are thousands of horror stories. I will NEVER use flea meds on a pet again.....will go holistic for this.

but guess what - - this is so terrible - - I used a DROP of my DOG's flea med on the cat yesterday. A drop. :( I came home to find one of the most awful sights I've ever seen.

Can't stop punishing myself just yet for what I've done.....and for making the choice not to pay the $800 for full medical treatment (with unknown outcome, BTW). I've NEVER denied full medical treatment to a pet in my life. Never. I feel absolutely awful. And, they treat you differently when you can't afford to pay for everything and choose not to. :(:(

but - - in my reading last night, many animals given the CORRECT dosage and treatment still seize/convulse and often die, or remain epileptic for life.

more later sills, I"ll be okay, but Weez is pretty freaked out.

I soooooooooo want to bring our Peanut home later, exhausted but okay.......I so so so so so want this......

Oh Susie--I had no idea about what happened to Peanut. :( (((((hug))))) Please don't blame yourself, you didn't know and you always do the very best you can for your pet-kids. This is something that can and does happen even with professional treatment.....believe me, I know :(:(

We're gonna think positive and hope for the very best outcome for Peanut. :) Hang in there, me phriend.

You've been on me mind, Jan-it. Ugh--hope it all goes quickly and most of all uneventfully. Good new is that this afternoin, it'll be all over fer another year. :D

Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…

I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet. I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

      Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.

      Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.
