  1. Hi About the only thing I keep in the fridge is brown rice flour, it seems to go rancid quicker...I keep annalise blend in a plastic container on my shelf. I do use the air conditioner all summer. If you are in a very warm climate I probably would keep everything in the fridge esp. if no air conditioning. Yes, I use the specfic flour for the cookbook...
  2. Last time I checked Wal-Mart were not gluten-free! Costco's is gluten-free Boston Market is gluten-free Sam's Club is not gluten-free KFC grilled or any other is not gluten-free... It should state on the label what the ingredient list is. Most are not gluten-free. sorry mamaw

  8. The Man-Chu Restaurant is wonderful & has a gluten-free menu. We had the best general Tso's chicken there.... Denise is the buyer at the Raisin Rack in Canton & also the group leader there. SHe is very knowledgeable on gluten-free .... I used to like the Columbus store better but since they moved across the street I think Canton is way better...

As I have more time now I read your post again.Just because something states organic doesn't mean it is gluten free ( organic rice krispies) Protein burgers or fake burgers are not always gluten free.Fried rice can also include soy sauce again not gluten-free.   13. Hi Kim There is a group from that area. Mike Eberhart has a gluten-free blog & he is a cookbook author as well. He just moved from the Cleveland area..... We go to this area about four times a year to shop. I love the Raisin Rack in Canton or Columbus. Canton has more gluten-free... mamaw

  18. For our fairs usually the greasy fries are okay but you do need to check with each vendor! Not healthy at all! The other thing the kids always want are the funnel cakes. SO I make funnel cakes at home & let them get their fill & by the time we reach the fair the desire for funnel cakes is gone!We also take a bag of junk food with us that they do not...

  22. If you have small children who put things in their mouths then yes I would go gluten free. Our pets are gluten-free because they react to gluten, vomiting, itchy skin, runny stools. Everyone is gluten-free now at our house including the furry kids! Animals react to things the same way people do. My vet bills are much less now that the furry kids are gluten...
  23. Take the snacks you already enjoy. Will you access to a fridge & freezer? Most places will allow you to keep a few speciality foods .
