You will probably have other symptom's as well if you sugar is high like dry mouth,...
  2. Glutendha, I got lucky and found out about Magnesium before I found out about Thiamine....Magnesium is needed by the body to convert Thiamine to an active form used by the body...even good quality B-complexs unless they are enzymic B-vitamins has a low conversion rate in the body...try finding a fat soluble thiamine like Benfotiamine...it has a much...

  4. NNowak et Al, I was too was shocked.....to be low in Vitamin D...because I had taken the proper co-factors....try taking some Magnesium if you haven't yet....Glycinate (anytime) Citrate with meals....being low in Magnesium will/can make you low in Vitamin D...it acts like a "dead bolt" on a door...taking Vitamin D unlocks the first lock but without Magnesium...
  5. To NNowak, Knitty Kitty et al, On a different thread the topic of Hemachromatosis came up.... I have the same problem so...I wanted to see if anybody had any thought/feedback on how they supplement with Vitamin D.... It seems they are connected conditions....on more than one occasion I have become low in Vitamin D ....and after a little sleuthing...
  6. NNowak, As long as you have had these problems you might want to consider non-GI causes... I meant to include this link... https://www.mdedge.com/ccjm/article/105417/gastroenterology/not-all-abdominal-pain-gastrointestinal Again I hope this is helpful. Posterboy,
  7. Cristina and NNowak, Don't be afraid to take you a good enzymic B-complex...B-Vitamins work synergistically together...I promised the moderators....I won't wear people with too many links...you can search through my profile..here are three links that can help you...low stomach acid is being mistaken for high stomach acid and overgrowth of bad bacteria...
  8. cristiana, there is evidence to indicate heartburn/GERD can be triggered by stress...I have had some heartburn recently for the first time in years...been dealing with some bronchitis for a month now, an ear ache, and other life stresses that seem to have caught up with me all at once...here is the research that show's how stress (maybe sickness etc...
  9. NNowak, I had a friend who had a similar issue....a lot that could be acid reflux into your lung cavity or into your esophagus causing it to be irritated...here is a link about it...https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/do-ppis-have-long-term-side-effects sleeping on our left side can help your acid reflux...https://well.blogs.nytimes.com...
  10. 11. To All, Saw this recent research....I know it has been discussed recently about cross contamination in the kitchen and how it can spread like a virus....but it behaves much like a virus/bacteria in the body so it seems logical we would treat it that way... There results showed the same results...dry gluten fragments IE (crumbs) or Playdoh in this...
  12. Scott, That is good research the Jamron research I had recently read linked at the bottom of a new thread but I will refresh myself with that information....inflammation is being mentioned more and more these days for disease of all types....I think it is interesting to see the link/connections....I wonder when they will figure out what is triggering...
  13. To All, Did anybody see this new research...It would be nice to see an article about this new research on Celiac.com soon. I would be nice to hear everybody insight on this new research...

  15. Awol, Try taking your mutli with a Magnesium supplement....Magnesium Citrate with meals...or Magnesium Glycinate with or without meals....most commercial thiamine products require Magnesium as a cofactor to change Thiamine into the bioaviable form our bodies use...here is the research on it...https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.0954-68...
  16. Awol, I saw this earlier...but got busy with life...Knitty Kitty's response triggered my memory...POTS has been associated with low Thiamine Levels...they say as many as 1/4 of those with POTS might improve after taking thiamine supplementation.....here is the research on it.....quoting from the abstract "one of four deficient patients experienced significant...
  17. Bshake, Look up the "baking soda test" ...it is a nice home test to see if your daughter could have low stomach that is triggering the ulcers or creating the perfect conditions for ulcers to develop....mastic gum as has been mentioned is popular for ulcers....you might also try some cabbage juice....it is a home remedy for ulcers....here is the research...
  18. Anasss, (Not to Moderator's I am going to list two links and this might go two paragraphs) I do a lot of research and the "chicken" topic containing gluten has come up before.....so I bookmarked the research...other foods have toxic peptide sequences that mimic gluten in the body...this was studied circa 2007...https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/1...
  19. To All, EnnisTx and I often talk about B-Vitamins and Magnesium....and how they help(ed) us...I ran across this link recently and wanted to share it...it is a searchable database people can use to see if medicines/drugs they might be taking could be making them low in Vitamins...my focus is on B-Vitamins and Magnesium...but you can search for any Vitamin...
  20. Barbara, I have not had our experience... (I have had "pins and needles" through due to peripheral neuropathy) but I do a lot of research usually now related to my prediabetes and other family/friends medical issues and I am always amazed about how much/many times I find out that there are studies about this or that that most doctor's don't know about.....

Elf, I have had peripheral neuropathy.....B12 seemed to help...here is link that list Nutritional Causes of Neuropathy...https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4199287/ I/you might also look into researching Thiamine...the hormone matters website has a wealth of information about B1 it is there speciality....more people get low in it than we realize...
