  1. Are you eating processed gluten free food? Gluten free bread, pasta, etc? The gluten free versions are starch loaded carb bombs that yes make you hold onto fat like crazy. Me and many others found the keto/paleo diet to work with maintaining a lean muscular body, how this works is when you remove all carbs and only eat fats, your body starts to change gears...
  2. Funny thing about dairy, many that have intolerance/sensitivity to it, do not notice the issues until they remove it and then try to get back on....this is a obvious sign it is not good for you and is called a dairy challenge. Keeping weight on, try adding protein shake snack to sip on during the day, and snacking on nut butters like almond butter just...
  3. Commonly Magnesium Deficiency can lead to sleep issues, there is another trick I found Follow these and does these and it might help Doctors Best Powdered Magnesium, Take a scoop before bed, this version really helps you relax...only side effect is deep sleep with vivid dreams Jarrow or Oregon Seed Company Pumpkin Protein, 2 tsp before bed this promotes...
  4. I have created a pie crust before with almond flour, but it was more of a gram cracker. This time playing with one of my favorites, coconut flour, I have created more pastry like crust. 98g (3/4 cup) Coconut flour (Nutiva Organic is the best for this) 48g (1/4 cup) Erythritol like truvia, pyure, or now foods blend avoid swerve for this as granular worked...
  5. Hmm thanks I missed that one, it showed up under the gluten free search yesterday as a new item. Now that I read the package I see this....I will remove the link since it is voided gluten free lol.
  6. This "Rash" it could be DH, celiacs with DH can have less damage in the intestines, and the blood test is not always accurate. Please look into the testing for the DH. If all else fails you could be Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity, which is diagnosed via a elimination diet. Open Original Shared Link Celiacs commonly have issues with magnesium that leads...
  7. Could be related to nutrient deficiency as damaged intestines prevent proper and adequate absorption of nutrients. Common issues are stuff like the full spectrum of b-vitamins, iron, folate, magnesium, vitamin D etc. Get a full panel done for nutrients, if any or even borderline low you might look into supplementing them. B-vitamins, magnesium, and vitamin...
  8. First you need to get properly tested for celiac disease, you have to gluten daily for 12 weeks for the test to be accurate, please read. Open Original Shared Link I have been trying to body build with celiac for a few years, it can be difficult but a few things I have found, is first off plant based protein powders are better and easier on the gut. Blends...
  9. Found another cleaner one , they even have a sour cream onion, sea salt and vinegar and a plain FALSE alarm product actually was not gluten free as one line contained gluten and had a main contain statement.....Still have the above ones.
  10. Might want to start a new thread this is a much older one if you check the post dates. How bad and how does yours effect you? For me my ataxia caused initial gluten response with motor control loss for a few hours, and brain thought looping like a broken record driving me mad with confusion and rage at by body not working right that lasted much longer...
  11. Yeah your gut is still irritated and probably inflamed. I have to go bland and blended meals for a week or so after each time....I try to imagine my intestines are like carpet burned....how does that feel to put spices, rub rough material on it, acidic foods, alcohol. I then try to eat stuff that would sooth the irritated gut and be easy to digest. Low acid...
  12. You should be fine, read over the newbie 101 section change out the house gluten free, and start eating easy to digest balanced whole food meals, remove dairy and avoid oats for awhile. I suggest crockpot liners and crockpot soups, with bone broth, stews, etc nice and soft nutrient dense meals. Digestive enzymes and probiotics can help you to maximize your...
  13. Well their plain pep is still gluten free, I tested my last package and got 6of them from that LOT and been using them for cooking. Thanks for the heads up, you should email the company and figure out why. Perhaps they will reemburse you or give you few packages of the actual plain gluten free ones.
  14. I do not use fisher due to their shared equipment statments with peanuts. I would assume they are safe for celiac but no gluten free labeling and they do seasoned blends sometimes...probably a different facility but you learn to question these (the frozen veggie companies that do sauced gluten lines on the same equipment for the plains) when you get glutened...
  15. I know we have had several people complain about getting poisoned by planters and gluten. Again Open Original Shared Link has a gluten free section....I have peanut issues so I buy my other nuts from dedicated sources most the times, like hamond black almonds, mariani for plain walnuts and pistachios, sometimes use wonderful pistachios, I found Traders...
  16. The distention looks like what some of use get with celiac or in my case even my ulcerative colitis but it is more around the outside rim and lower abdomen. I can not read panels very well, and in most cases they vary from lab to lab and require a reference range to determine how relative the actual numbers are. You have to be eating gluten daily prior...
  17. That tart recipe is no good...spelt is wheat flour so gluten. Ditto the the above comments about cooking it in your house. Umm talk to your guest about this, we respond to gluten crumbs, and residue so cook ware has to be dedicated gluten free, no flour "dust poofs" in the kitchen, no gluten in the kitchen. Most of us will not eat at something made by a...
  18. Sounds like celiac, they can miss stuff in the endoscope and biopsy due to she sheer are size of the intestines, and you had some blood positives so something is going. At the very least elimination diet confirmed gluten to be a major issue, so your either celiac or NCGS. Either way gluten free for life no cheating, or chances is your cure/treatment....I...
  19. Makes more sense with a rent house or someone looking for a roommate. I myself had such horrific experiences in a shared house with gluten eaters that am still about four year later still fearful of people eating gluten near me. The sheer ignorance of how a crumb can make us sick and eating gluten, cooking with it, throwing a handful of flour into a skillet...
  20. Quick changes I tell some people to get by with old cookware and and being extra careful. Butcher Paper/Freezer Paper, lay it out for a clean prep surface/eating surface, it also makes clean up a breeze...I buy commercial counter wide rolls of it and replace it every few days to keep my counters clean and bakery clean (gluten free bakery) Foil, you can...
  21. Try starting your own blog on your profile here, I got one called daily life and compromising where I write about things that bug me and monthly updates with my health.
  22. MSA looks quite serious, you might opt in for doing a gluten challenge if you can stand it and redoing the blood test. You have to eat gluten for 12 weeks daily for it show in testing. If you hardly eat any and been mostly gluten free...testing will not be reliable. Open Original Shared Link Gluten Ataxia is something I and some others get with celiac...
  23. Well you probably just have food intolerance or sensitivities, keep a food diary. Also it could be a enzyme issue, try taking digestive enzymes with your food to break them down easier. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/119919-digestive-enzymes/
  24. Earlier this month I was reading on the benefits of the ketogenic diet with diabetes. Also talked how the diet can help with people on the spectrum. Ketogenic diets are a very low carb high fat diet.
  25. I have been using Jarrow enzymes for awhile but find them to be missing some others. I recently found this one company that has a good blend with it, I emailed them and got a response that they are gluten free. They even have a sale on right now if you buy several bottles and a 10% off. Thinking it might help with my digesting since my pancreas is not working...
