  1. Yeah normally we would suggest getting tested, but you have to be eating gluten daily for 12 weeks to be tested. If you just got off less then a few weeks ago you can still be tested for celiac. Open Original Shared Link I had many symptoms, but constipation used to be a huge one. 2-3 days most of my life was the standard between BM. Right up to dia....
  2. OK it really depends how long you have been gluten free and how gluten free you were. From what you have told me here I can say you probably have celiac. Some people test negative on the blood test despite gluten in the diet for the recomended 12 weeks but show damaged villi in the intestines. You might have to do the gluten challenge and get the endoscope...
  3. OLD post but FYI if you wash you hair with gluten...you got it on your hands your going to eat later. Wash you hands goody goody, but your going to rub your hair later to move it out of your eyes or just to brush OOPs you glutened your hands again, you touch anything your putting in your mouth later and glutened your self.....yeah sorta becomes a issue when...
  4. And people thought I was crazy for CONSTANTLY bashing our gluten free cheerios ads that kept on showing up. I kept telling people they were not safe.
  5. Great post, but this is a older thread. Yeah some of us have neurological manifestations of symptoms. I myself had gluten ataxia with, looping thoughts would drive me insane, fog, inability to think of some things, coupled with pain and being uncomfortable leads to mood swings and snapping like Mr. Hyde. Found other triggers that compounded the issues like...
  6. I use beyond coastal before, they have a natural mineral one also...but it like most "natural" ones that use mineral powders instead of the chemicals are quite chalky and leave you looking white.
  7. Since you tested on a gluten free diet...they do not count, testing requires you to be eating gluten for 12 weeks to get the antibodies up. Obviously not a option, if it is giving you so much pain, but a gluten challenge might be worth it, your call. Open Original Shared Link If you are celiac, reactions vary but worst of them can ease off after...
  8. I heard it works with Canyon House bread fine, I know my coconut bread can get a bit mushy break from my bakery if you try to butter it plain melted vegan cheese melted over it after toasting it then using the broiler to melt the cheese on it works. I have used Julian Bakery Seed melody and almond bread better for open topped cheesy bread. I would try a open...
  9. My ataxia hits before the cramps, vomiting, or anything else, it will appear mildly with even supposedly gluten-free foods that are contaminated. Mild and slight exposure will cause me to get numbness in the hands, drop stuff like crazy, and not notice when stuff is hot. Last major straight up gluten food back in 2016 from eating out caused to complete motor...
  10. I had alienating special treatment and privileges due to autism and some other issues you probably do not want to hear about in high school. Being provided for my issues made it easier in some respects by alienated me from the other kids. Many things were later learned were being made worse by diagnosed celiac. But fast forward to real world with this disease...
  11. Ok this brings up a interesting topic, in people with SIBO or candida they get the bloat, gurgling, gas, issues, made worse by carbs, breads, etc. And coconut oil or products with coconut, walnut, garlic, can start killing off the SIBO/Candida causing discomfort and gas to spike. Have you been tested for these issues? Or as you mentioned it could be a intolerance...
  12. If your dealing with constipation, Natural Vitality Calm is a magnesium citrate that can help start off with 1/4tsp (1-2g) and slow up the dose to the full dose 1/4tsp or (1g) at a time til you get the full dose OR dose to tolerance when you get loose stools then back down 1/4tsp or (1-2g) Other wise use Doctors Best Magnesium as recommended if you do not...
  13. You going to to want to keep eating gluten. You have to get tested for celiac, the constipation and D is a sign along with the anxiety etc. the C and anxiety are often compounded by nutrient absorption issues from damaged and inflamed intestines causing issues with magnesium and the whole B-vitamin spectrum. I can give you some suggestion to managed the symptoms...
  14. You might want to start up a new topic, but this type of incident is not uncommon. Fact she probably had the genes for the disease, many of us had the gene activated due to a stress/shock to the immune system. I think yours is the fourth? case I have heard of on these forums of it being with food poisoning, other times it can be pregnancy, virus, bacterial...
  15. Raven gave a good suggestion, there is something among celiacs in some cases called gluten ataxia, and in some cases gluten ataxia can be present without celiac. Getting the proper celiac testing done first before going gluten free might actually give you some good news (not down playing your previous dia just saying if it is caused by gluten ataxia you can...
  16. Secondary issues? It is not uncommon, Ulcerative Colitis, SIBO, Candida, are common ones, and the standard processed gluten free diet can make sibo and candida issues worse, and the carbs, starches, sugars in processed foods cause them to go out of control. Ulcerative Colitis can flare to not just gluten, every one is a bit different with it, but common...
  17. Eat more fats, with seeds and nuts, the zinc, iron, and healthy fats help with keeping lean muscle up. If your on dairy you might want to drop it. I assume you are on dairy or some dairy alternative with calcium enrichment? Perhaps your taking tums, or some thing else with calcium in it. All good in moderation but try to cut it in half to lower you calcium...
  18. As cycling lady said get tested for celiac, after which we can help you a bit better I see several things that might help. Many with this disease and some without are prone to issues like SIBO and Candida, either of these in your gut will react to starches/sugars and cause bloating, gas, and generally uncomfortable with other symptoms varying from person...
  19. Could be the sugar...or a reaction to the fruit, email the company to be sure there are no shared lines. I use universal pectin to make my own sugar free jams with extracts....stuff I use is a bit special and reacts with calcium to gel up instead of sugar like most. How do you do with apple juice? Does plain apple juice give you issues, would be a...
  20. Paleo/Keto is a diet I follow with high fats and protein and low carb, Gluten free, Dairy Free, Corn Free, and Sugar Free. I also am body building with this diet. Best suggestion, whole foods diet, avoid the gluten free processed crap they load with sugar, starches, and excess crud and you will be fine. And yes I have Celiac, lactose intolerance, corn...
  21. If you suspect Celiac you need to go to your doctor and ask for the blood test. You can read up on it here Open Original Shared Link Feel free to come by and ask if you need help interpreting the lab results or any other questions. If you suspect a intolerance, then AFTER confirming it is not celiac and ALL TESTING is done you can trial the gluten free...
  22. UPDATE, I called them, and gave the item in question asking about the missing "Good for Parts" statement "Oh those have the red sticker which means they do not work, we do not have to put the good for parts on everything. If you want you can bring them back by and we can relist them as a consignment without mentioning the for parts and we keep 25% and you...
  23. Well with celiac, a glutening or shock to the immune system can change your base symptoms, and sensitivities, you can even develop a new food intolerance or sensitivities ESPECIALLY after a exposure. This is quite common and the disease seems to change like a chameleon over the years. I used to never have D issues always C. After a exposure a few months back...
  24. ....welcome to my world, celiac, lactose intolerant, whey allergy, corn allergy, most grains caused edema, ulcerative colitis flares to fructose/glucose and amusingly starches/complex also flare it to a lesser degree....so grain free, no starchy veggies, and no sugars or fruit. Started my own gluten free bakery to make good tasting, moist baked goods.....
