I see Dr. Salowe with The Gastroenterology Group in Bucks County PA. They're located near Oxford Valley Mall and Sesame Place. I have only required annual check ups, and I have been pleased.

If you ever come through Bucks County, PA....in Southampton, PA on 2nd Street Pike there is a tiny tiny strip mall that contains a total gem! Blue Sage restaurant is a vegetarian restaurant (only 12 tables or so, make reservations!) with INCREDIBLE food. We visited for the first time last night. The server went through the entire menu with me, told...

I know there are PF Changs and Outbacks in Chicago - but I was hoping to try some other places that I cannot have at home in PA. Can anyone recommend gluten-free lunch/dinner places to check out - I'll be traveling with 2 non-celiac folk. Thanks in advance.

I ate there over Memorial Day Weekend in Arlington, VA. It was great! I had a tomato/onion salad w/ honey mustard dressing and a fabulous bunless burger with cheese and bacon - and a baked potato on the side. Very filling and Very good! The burger was probably one of the best I've ever had. Enjoy!

ARCHIVED Gushers Fruit Snacks?
amybeth posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
The ingredients look safe - but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure. If not, are there any other fruit snacks that are gluten free? -
My friend's mom was getting aggravated after months of trying....A square of toilet paper floating in the toilet inspired her to make going in the potty like target practice - aim for the square. He was trained in a week. It's amazing what works sometimes. At the same time, my neighbor was wrapping small presents and leaving them in a basket next...

Annika Marie jumps out at me! And I really like the ring to it. Don't know why. Just sounds right. Good luck! What a fun time! -
I teach 7th graders! Each summer I work a "fun" part time job and take a few classes. Right now, the majority of my time is spent getting my new house unpacked, fixed up, and cozy! Hope to research and possibly pursue some law school once we're settled in

ARCHIVED New Restaurant...need Your Input!
amybeth replied to wdceliaccafe's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Definitely offer take out and/or delivery. Google: Jules Thin Crust - They are doing the same thing in PA right now. I would recommend ALL gluten-free, which I think is what you're suggesting. Then there are no CC issues! You don't have to market it that way - it could just work out that way. I miss appetizers. So many choices on most menus... -
I go to Dr. Salowe - The Gastroenterology (sp?) Group. He was recommended by my general practitioner, and I have been pleased with him. Good luck.

Tropicana OJ isn't safe? I drink it, and to my knowledge it's never made me sick. But I'm usually VERY sensitive. I'll stop drinking it, if it's not safe, I don't want to press my luck. Does anyone know for sure? -

Balloons and a pot luck thrown by the committee. Something dedicated to the office that you already need, in their names.....our PTO at school gave us an electric holepunch as a gift and it gets used and appreciated EVERY day. You could make a twist on what you did before and make it a guessing game....guess who in the office managed to accomplish... -

I read "Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver at least once a year. Another annual read for me is "Backroads" by Tawny O'Dell (Very disturbing content, but whoa! what a story!) The Dave Pelzer books ("A child called it" through "A man named Dave") are gripping real-life page turners. If you don't mind delving into young adult literature "Bronx... -
ARCHIVED My Gluten Free Wedding Reception
amybeth replied to laurelfla's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
There's a sausage recipe - baked with applesauce and onion.....I may have found it on allrecipes.com -- my family calls it cider sausage. Its very very good by itself - or on rice crackers. We used to eat it on Wheat Thins before going gluten-free. Easy, quick, and lots of flavor. If you want to use it and cannot find it on allrecipes, PM... -

I hope you are feeling better this evening! My sister once told me (actually in her toast at my wedding) - the secret to a happy marriage is choosing to love that person every day - and some days it will be easier to make that choice than others. I find even a 10-15 minute walk will make me feel better and like I'm taking steps to improve my health... -
ARCHIVED Wedding Question
amybeth replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Do what you and your future spouse feel the most comfortable with! For example, my husband really wanted all of his highschool friends to sit together at one table - but they didn't make a "Complete" table for our set up -- so my friends had to be split up. It was more important to him and his friends are more spread out about the country, so we went... -

ARCHIVED 1st gluten-free Shopping Trip Successful (hopefully)
amybeth replied to I3Daniel's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Hi! I'm glad your shopping trip went well. Daniel may just be feeling completely overwhelmed - it is so much information to take in at first!!! You were asking about kitchen items - someone mentioned wooden spoons, but I also got rid of my old wooden cutting board. I actually bought flexible plastic cutting boards that were cheaper and work just as...
