  1. I expect a fructose/glucose intolerance/sensitivity BUT THEN you mention the water I think might have something to do with your calcium/magnesium or other channels as many waters have trace minerals..this could point to EVERYTHING ELSE, is distilled water fine as in no minerals? I am no specialist but I have met someone at a disability seminar who ended up...
  2. WE are all a bit different, I ended up with multiple food allergies, intolerance, and food sensitives, pancreas issues, and another auto immune disease that flares to sugars and spices...I had to go basically Keto/paleo no grains, potatoes, beans, or squash and limit veggie intake, then due to pancreas no meats either except in moderation with pig pancreas...
  3. A small pill cam to miss deep damage the scopes might miss, and a FULL panal are suggested. Even then if your negative your could have NCGS if you feel better on the diet. Here is a quote from the screening page about the genetic test "People with celiac disease carry one or both of the HLA DQ2 and DQ8 genes, but so does up to 25-30% of the general...
  4. If LOW stomach acid, Betaine HCL, doctors best and bluebonnet make some. It will lower the PH of your acid to make it more acidic, breaking down foods. Sometimes the higher PH (less acidic) can keep your stomach from dumping the food to the intestines, causing gastroparesis and gerd. Digestive Enzymes from Doctors Best, or Silverfernbrand (full PH range ones...
  5. My local HEB does the same thing with this ham and some turkey, some have a gravy or glaze packet with two seperate ingredient list....the gravy contained gluten but the meat itself did not. Product was Gluten Free Labeled. Glaze is typically gluten free, but the old rule applies, "If in doubt, throw it out" Make your own glaze with a syrup. Apple...
  6. Stainless in a oven.....make sure they are rated for first, second do know they will probably turn purple/bluish in graidents. Looks cool but might not be your thing.
  7. The recent gluten upset in combination could have made this worse, and slowly backing down to once daily then once every other day then skipping more down the road with the PPIs might work. I do not take PPI for the standard reasons...maybe the old issues healed? I almost ODed as a kid on caffeine and broke the pumps lol, I spent a awhile with...
  8. Califlour Foods Plant Based, VERY flavorful but is a flatbread type of crust. I have a recipe for a thicker on I can make in a skillet also.
  9. Yeah figured as much. Diarrhea every morning, and I vomit just a few mouthfuls in the evening, globe of floating stuff, bit in between then feel better when a lump of stuff comes up...always a lump of stuff that can contain stuff mostly from the first 2 meals of the day. I was hoping this was just a digestive issue with breaking things down and undigested...
  10. I used to have a issue with vomiting once or twice a week...not really vomiting to empty but just a few chunks of undigested globs of food....some times identifiable as things from breakfast or the day before formed into a hard clump. After my last exposure it become a nightly thing same time every night somethings even from breakfast normally formed...
  11. I do my own blog of venting and things that come into my mind or my life. Most of it just rambling, but feed back is always welcome. I will admit holidays have become.....different, but I also had family deaths on both sides that make no one want to meet up anymore. I still offer to host and cook all gluten free meals, ham, broccoli casserole, deviled eggs...
  12. Did the do the full panel? How long were you eating gluten, as you have to be eating it every day for about 8 weeks (6-12 depending on source of info) There are several blood test, and some celiac test negative on them but test positive on the biopsy via a endoscope. https://celiac.org/celiac-disease/understanding-celiac-disease-2/diagnosing-celiac-disease...
  13. Messed up part, doctors like to push drugs and ignore the celiac issue because they can not sell you drugs to fix it. Celiac only has one treatment and that is a gluten free diet. Keep eating gluten at least a slice of bread or two a day to keep your antibodies up so testing will be valid. Try eating it at night before going to bed so you can try to...
  14. The Gluten Free & Allergy Free Expo in Dallas Texas is happening again this year from October 27-28th 2018 This is a good place to go get free samples, try new products, get coupons, and stock on up somethings. They will also be doing health screening, have various clinics and allergy testing companies there, and have some classes and seminars from...
  15. You can try to search a wider area for 100% gluten free places, I got lucky and found 2 places down in San Antonio when on vacation a few years back, then last year found a British style pub bit north of Dallas, which has completely a separate gluten free kitchen and the owner is a father to 2 celiac children. I am even starting my own 100% gluten free...
  16. For now keep eating gluten til all testing is done, you have to eat it daily for the testing to be accurate. After testing feel free to come back for interpretations of your test, and if you test positive the community here is great for helping people out and adjusting to the diet. 17. Nima, it is not perfect, fact the majority of my issues are with the device itself, it will often not give the strip enough time to develop and with some foods and items the device sees red developing strip as positive when it is not. Also in regards to testing non blended and cooked/layered items getting a sample from all possible ingredients is damn near...
  18. B-vitamins are synergistic, you need to look at a spectrum version thought b6 and b12 are more strongly linked to anxiety. Magnesium can also be a issues for anxiety do look up deficiency symptoms as they are another big thing with celiacs Looking over some things anxiety suggest Magnesium, B-complex, vitamin C and lithium. PS I use Natural Vitality...
  19. I just make my own and freeze stock cubes in ice trays OR I use Jarrow Bone Broth Powders. They make a Beef, Chicken, Beef Ramen, and Chicken Curry Flavored powders, vitacost, wholefoods (on sale) and amazon are your best bets.
  20. See about starting a new thread as this one is pretty old. But addressing your issues, first get tested again, the disease can develop at any time if you have the gene. I think it was all first degree relatives should be tested every year? And you have to be eating gluten daily for the testing to be accurate. Second from personal experience...
  21. That 2 day window gluten free followed by 3 weeks on...you should be fine. Eating it in the evening before bed is something we often suggest so people can try to sleep off the worst of the discomfort and be semi functional during a gluten challenge. It can take months for your intestines to heal, sure the inflammation might go away a bit sooner but...
  22. Natural Vitality Calm Unflavored. It is a Magnesium Citrate powder and in large doses is a natural laxative. Many with celiac become magnesium deficient and constipation is one of the symptoms so 2 birds one stone. IT fizzes when mixed with warm liquid, due to the nature of her feeding I would mix it with liquid and let it sit for 3-6 hours so it does...
  23. The initial blood test is simple and just requires you to be eating gluten every day 1-2 slices of bread at least. Keep eating gluten daily til ALL test are done. After the full blood panel they they will need to do a endoscope and biopsy to confirm. Since you have UC also in the family might opt for both scopes to rule on UC or other AI of the large intestines...
  24. They use the same packaging machines for gluten and veggie lines. I got glutened by their steam fresh broccolli a few years back when they first started doing the sauced gluten lines instead of just veggies. The told me they used the same machines back then to bag and run both lines just on different days and hose them down between runs. I have had luck...
  25. By law in the US if they used Casein or milk they have to declare it. Open Original Shared Link PS I would not eat out at this kind of fast food restaurant with celiac pretty much the whole menu states gluten. Make your own at home, I do not know if they use wheat flour/starch in the dogs themselves but I would not risk it. Fact it even states their...
