  1. So today November 13th is National Indian Pudding day, I pulled the following from The Nibble doing research to find it is a naturally gluten free receipe. With allergies to the ingreidents you will find substitutes at the bottom for a Grain free Paleo version I made this morning....not as good as the original but made do (will be posted once I repeat again...
  2. Welp.....with me it is one thing after another and my body....I was scraping my teeth on a almond and coconut Popsicle and one of the front incisors got hung and snapped in half. Dentist is closed I made a cap over the part still in my gums with this tooth repair stuff and put the other half in a glass of water after rinsing it off well and have it in the...
  3. "Odd time out" A single exposure can cause continuous damage for around 6 weeks til the antibodies come down. It took years to cause the damage and it will take years to heal. Some studies show it can take 2 years for the gut to heal completely. Magnesium and iron are two more common issues, iron also need to be taking with vitamin C. Try keeping...
  4. Thing I had to consider recently that you should review before getting digestive enzymes. My pancreas does not seem to work at all, and I had to break down my enzyme dosing by my food. Calculate your Carbs, Protein, and Fats. consider the 3 main digestive enzymes and what they break down at what doses One USP unit of Lipase activity digests 1 mg uEq...
  5. Bit late on this one, been busy with stuff and coming to terms with issues. First I have been dealing with and living with a almost daily Diarrhea and vomiting issue since my gluten exposure in July and again in August made it much worse. It started to clear up when I started taking more digestive enzymes (I was taking them daily anyway) So I did a bit...
  6. Three points Normally people go to rice, potatoes, buckwheat, sweet potatoes, and the starchy carb bombs of gluten free processed foods. Some even dare use lentils and quinoa for carbs. Bit less nutritious but some use even corn based foods. There is a gluten withdrawal for many as it can be like a opiate, even for those of us it is killing, IE celiacs...
  7. I do not think this is acute pancretitis as there is not pain, the pancreas just does not work seeminly. But you do have a point with the PPI and PH of the stomach hampering the enzyme functions. I will try rotating to doubling my randine and getting off the other PPI next week when I organize my pill box. We are not allowed to self...
  8. Next best are more expensive per test like EZ-Gluten Open Original Shared Link Something I learned after buying the nima by accident. With the new capsules they can work without the sensor. Put in your sample screw down the lid til ti clicks and keep shaking it for a few mins. 3lines means gluten 2 lines gluten free. the sensor just spins a thing inside...
  9. Cold Cereals like Cereal School, Julian Pro Granola, Nuco Coconut Crunch for healthy options, chex for carb loads. You can do hot Congee (overnight rice in a crock pot with a 1:6 or 1:8 ratio of dry rinsed rice to water or almond milk) Add in sweetener/fruit/nut butters stir and serve in the morning. Cream of wheat ironically makes Cream of Rice Gluten...
  10. I can get medicare in January for free to cover ER, no GI or normal doctors but I can get the free ER then. Lost a contract with a catering gig to another guy so I am just going to wing it til then. I should also be getting a financing and donations in spring of next year so I can get off this BS government pay and try to start my own safe business and work...
  11. LOL Yeah they are the ONLY condiment I use, I also have a corn allergy, they are the only Paleo company that does not use corn starch, corn syrup or other things made from corn like citric acid or xantham gum. I wait til whole foods does the huge sale on them then stock like crazy. The mayo is great I use it for slaw sometimes, the ketchup and mustard are...
  12. Fun list for you imagination Open Original Shared Link Cookie fun Open Original Shared Link Cereal Fun Open Original Shared Link I have used them only recently changing over form Capella flavors...Capella was good but they were VERY inconsistent with concentrations. This company gave more options, and was bragged on by 2 companies at the local...
  13. I did want to bring up some hope for people here on what I found for my "Oatmeal" fix. Miracle Noodles makes a Konjac rice, rinse it, boil it, rinse again, then dry it out a bit in a hot skillet then boil in a bit of nut milk and thicken with nut butter or flour. THEN add in 10-20drops of Oatmeal Flavor from oooflavors. The stuff is oat free, gluten free...
  14. Well another update and potential source for my issues the past 17 weeks. My pancreas, it has been iffy the past few years, last year it started requiring me to remove all sugars/carbs or risk spiking my glucose through the roof IE 2 forks of hash browns spiked it to the 400s. I have been taking pancreas enzymes for the past few years....so I think this...
  15. Vegan protein powders in shakes with nut butters, Stuff like HPN Powders for a good vitamin packed one without tons of added veggies/etc that you might have issues with. Pioneer Labs make a Celiac Meal replacement plant based you can down between meals. Other single proteins and almond butters can be added to baked goods like Pea protein (Growing naturals...
  16. There is dairy free feta from a violife and you can order it online, as to the Gyro meat...I am curious, I am in the food industry and always passed over the gyro meat. I will go check the restaurant supply store next time and check they gyro meats to see how common it is to have gluten and what ingredients are there, I will get pictures if I can. Pulled...
  17. This disease is a chameleon, it always changes and evolves, each one of my exposures was a bit different. Hell I never had D the first 4 years of the disease til this year....and it last a bit over 6 weeks each time now . I started off with Hyde like flips outs, extreme cramps, constipation, brain fog so bad my mind looped like a broken record driving me...
  18. Might be deficiency triggered, by example if you work out a lot you deplete your magnesium and need more otherwise nerve and muscle symptoms show.
  19. One other thing to mention, I think studies found that 10% of celiacs react to oats regardless? I found I could not have any, now if that is UC related, blood sugar, or antibody I do not know. But I did use the ones I mentioned before in my bakery and sometimes used to have them before I changed to paleo.
  20. Red blood means it is in your large intestine, if it was tar then further up. NOW I am not diagnosing you but something to consider. I have Ulcerative Colitis with my celiac, My UC flares with cramps, gas, and bloody stool, sometimes much worse. Common triggers for UC can be gluten, dairy, hot spices, greasy fatty meats, certain vegetables and rare triggers...
  21. Updated list I do this quarterly, https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/122733-gluten-free-food-alternative-list-2018-q4/
  22. I second avoiding them period, heck I insist on avoiding grains period....I feel so much better on a paleo diet and using nut meal porridge over grain based. If you insist look up Open Original Shared Linkand go the organic route. The company has celiac in the family and ONLY grows oats on they own farms, use their own equipment for harvesting, transporting...
  23. I know it is a bit abnormal but by example after my last exposure I spent 7 weeks with diarrhea, I assume this was my raised antibodies and how long they took to go down. They do say 2-6 weeks for some symptoms to go away because of antibodies, intestinal damage can take 6 months to 2 years to heal. You can also get various other AI issues and or nervous...
  24. Pull out the capsule, let it develop. If you see 3 red stripes then gluten. 2 means no gluten. Red spices and sauce confuse the sensor early as they smear the strip all red before it develops
  25. I used to only eat small amounts of meat on rare occasions, and recently lost my ability to digest any meats or animal fats. I now only eat egg whites in the morning using plant sources for lunch and dinner. You need to find replacements for protein, such has high protein plant sources, vegan protein bars, protein chips (Protes Chips), Protein Powders...
