    HELP!

Sub your cheese with Miyoko or Kite hill versions. I normally eat omelettes, quiches, dairy free and grain free homemade baked goods, stir fry, soups, stews, grain free bread with avocado, almond, or sun butter on them, salads, nutmeal porridge, I often serve up steaks, ribs, fish, crab cakes grain free, etc for my family. Califlour foods Plant based crust...
  2. I get that judgemental look, when I check out also. I just list off my conditions and it changes to empathy, then I pass off with a joke or statement about it making me a good cook, or health benefits. I will admit with all my issues GI wise ontop of the issues with my Autism, I would rate myself as high maintenance and seemingly arrogant. Selfish...
  3. Every time I get glutened I get extreme bipolar like mood swings, used to also have anger outburst so bad I called it Mr. Hyde. Over the years it has transitioned, I get really depressed and suicidal with exposure and it normally hits the next day after a exposure and last several days. I thought it had to do with lowered absorption of magnesium, vitamin...
  4. So yesterday, I had a major UC flare, I thought it was celiac at first but several components where wrong, my celiac normally has pain under the ribs and core of my gut. This pain was under my navel starting and moved around the entire outside of my gut. I did not have my ataxia, no vomiting, JUST PAIN. The pain was so bad even my nerve damaged self felt...
  5. I ended up with UC a bit over a year ago, for a while before that I was having that pain, red blood streaks and sometimes globs and mucus in my stools. Certain foods made it worse, for me it was carbs, another person I know has the same trigger and we both treat it with a ketogenic base diet and a herb remedy of marshmallow root, slippery elm and aloe vera...
  6. I use wink often but if my stomach is in a bad mood IE my recent gluten exposure if gives me pain from gas in my lower abdomen. I have linked this to chicory root as the same stuff is in Nutilight (sugar, diary, and gluten free hazelnut spread) and has the exact same effect. So I have to stay clear of it for awhile.
  7. I messed up my stomach as a kid almost ODing on energy drinks to the point of vomiting blood. Ever since then I always would be burping up acid, or having it just come up in my mouth making me spit it up...at night I would just hack it up. Seems the pumps would never turn off, doctors but me on a crazy regiment of Nexium and Ranidine. It does have some other...
  8. This event starts today, I will be attending and working there Sunday Morning, they will have me giving out bags at the door. Anyone going?
  9. I use https://www.natrol.com/products/melatonin-supplements-for-sleep-liquid/ I got it at walmart and put a dropper or 2 under my tongue. Fastest acting I can find, the company makes it in other forms.
  10. I got 6+ weeks diarrhea from my last contamination. Celiac disease is life long, no cure other then a gluten free diet. I also have Asperger Syndrome, ADHD, BiPolar, Ulcerative Colitis. and tons of food issues. It is very common for us to develop new food issues each time we get exposed...I noticed after my last exposure I can not eat any meat other then...
  11. Gluten removed beers are not safe for celiacs. The testing does not work them properly so there is no way to tell. Stick to beers made not using gluten grains if you have celiac.
  12. Bit of a update and some solutions and issues. Can't see a doctor for a lot longer, emergency surgery on that infection I have had for 2 years. IT is gone but took all my money, but no more fear of it killing me as it ate into my jaw. Meals, removed Emulsifiers like gums, konjac, etc from dinner = Less floating mass as stuff does not bind to floating...
  13. Skimmed the diet, good way to clean out and get good amounts of vitamins and trace minerals. There are some things to consider, with damaged guts we have issues digesting tougher food, most of the foods and amounts would be quite harsh on a damaged GI tract. There is also the adjustment period of any new diet and your guts microbiome. I would approach...
  14. I started a gluten free cottage home bakery years ago, there were none, and I started making dedicated gluten free goods and selling at farmers markets. Later transitioned to grain free and gluten free, and now mostly do keto versions of stuff so I can also enjoy them. This year I founded a new company for doing catering and am getting a food truck next...
  15. I have pancreas issues, and take enzymes, I was on a Sliver Fern Version along with Jarrow Porcine Pancreas Enzymes, but have shifted to doctors best for more lipease and the jarrow for breaking down fats more. Try avoiding anything with emulsifiers like processed foods with guar gum, xantham gum, Konjac, etc. They tend to bind up fats with other foods...
  16. Could be scar tissue or raw area in the throat, there are some meds to help heal it, and some herbs that can coat it and act like a band aid for the GI tract. Your GI might be able to check with a scope and see if there is damage or if this is something else. If you wish to try coating it and assume it is a sore area you can get slippery elm and marshmallow...
  17. Pika hit on somethings there is most definitely a detox, and not just gluten but stuff stored in fat gets broken down when you loose it...oddly this can include medications etc that sometimes get stored in fat. Other things, your body was fighting gluten for years, everything else had a lesser priority. Now that the fight is winding down your body may...
  18. Pretty sure that is derived from corn...the used to have a vintage blend with malt and gluten in it, but got rid of it earlier in the year. If you suspect issues with corn, carmel color etc. Try Zevia, bit off taste and takes some getting used to the stevia but they make knock offs of most soda, but without the fake colors, sugar, corn syrup, etc......
  19. Many of us deal with doctor issues and diagnosis, you got a really bad draw indeed. Most doctors dismiss Celiac as their is no money in the cure for them IE a gluten free diet and not medications. Keep up updated on your new doctor and testing, good to see you finally found one that listens and can help, I got through on doc #5 I think it was.
  20. A good amount of people do not start really feeling a big difference til the 6 month mark (it can take months just for the antibodies to go down after a exposure). Changing to a whole foods only diet, no processed foods, and removing dairy can help (enzyme to break down dairy are produced by your villi, which with this disease are damaged) To help more...
  21. I use Christopher Bean Flavored coffees I have some discount codes if you want to try them.....no need for flavored creamers etc. I just sweeten to taste with stevia, or monk fruit sweeteners (I can not have sugar) and sometimes I add a hint of almond, cashew, or coconut milk. https://christopherbean.com/collections/flavored-coffee
  22. I associated my needles feeling and some other issues with malabsorbtion of B-vitamins and Magnesium. It always spiked after a exposure and upping my dosing lessened the severity. It could have also been my gluten ataxia both correspond along the same time lines, but some of the ataxia symptoms linger for a month or so. If it is direct correlation to...
  23. I have a ton of issues and make nut butters and eat them, it is very dense calorie wise (190-220 calories for 2tbsp). I blend into shakes, mix with coconut and almond flour for nut meal porridge. I do mostly soft foods for ease of digestion. I also use vegan protein powders in my shakes/porridge. I used to use a blendtec or a food processor but invested in...
  24. Stormy morning, can't bake most gluten-free recipes as weather prevents rising. So going testing a old recipe from a card (Families card box) I found. Amazingly this is a naturally gluten free, Grain free one. I modified it to be keto friendly and it turned out wonderful. Amaretti Cookies (card name) 100g Blanched Almond Flour 100g Swerve Sweetener...
  25. Even it it shows normal you body might need more, we are all different not one size fits all. I need increased Magnesium, and even though I used to show normal, had to supplement at 4-5x the dose when I was first diagnosed. I now take just the recommended dose after healing quit a bit. Do you have issues with C or D? This dictates which one you might need...
