  1. THat's the ingredient list for REGULAR Lays. I've never had the natural ones, but the regular ones work fine for me.
  2. THAT"S WHY I EAT THEM!! I used to be a vegetarian and like unprocessed foods, and short from getting my own kitchen greasy from frying them myself, I don't know how much simpler you can get!
  3. I didn't see the one I use listed here yet. It's GREAT for planning ENTIRE MEALS: It's organized by Breakfasts, Lunches, and Dinners. For example it has "Old Fashioned Country breakfast" where it shows how to make cranberry muffins, country eggs, baked maple apples, and a fruit shake. There is "Tropical Luncheon" with Pineapple Chicken Salad, Orange Date...
  4. In a cookbook I have it says to make bread fluffier, add 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar and 1 tsp baking powder.
  5. Hello, gluten-free chefs, I just tried the Namaste pancake mix and it was good (really spongy texture), but there is an aftertaste that somewhat tastes like anis (black licorice flavor) to me. Does anyone know what ingredient is causing that? Ingredients: Sweet brown rice flour, tapioca flour, arrowroot flour, rice milk powder, cream of tartar, xanthan...
  6. Hey, THanks!! I gotta try that licorice!! Sounds silly, but Twizzlers and Nibs used to be my favorite!
  7. First, you can do a search of this forum for candy, instead of making a new thread like you did. The list I have is 12 pages long...you can find it at sillyyak.com or something like that. For Easter, you can have most Cadbury treats, Jelly Belly Jellybeans, Marshmallow Peeps. In general, you have to be cautious of mini sizes of any candy- often different...
  8. I don't drink coffee, eat fattening things like cheesecake/creme brulee, fast food, or much red meat. But I DO claim sugar as my vice. After 10 years of teaching, I'm the same size, and colleagues often ask me how I do it. Here are some ideas as well as Things I do to trim down for bikini season (my summer clothes are a size smaller than my winter ones...
  9. I thought the details about preparing the food were great!
  10. You poor thing! I hope it's over soon!
  11. I don't drink coffee, eat fattening things like cheesecake/creme brulee, fast food, or much red meat. But I DO claim SUGAR as my vice. Things I do to trim down for bikini season: Chew sugarless gum- sometimes after a meal you just want a cleansed palate. Eat little sugary things that take a long time: blow pop, starburst, tootsie roll---DAILY!! Make...
  12. Be careful with sushi, with the imitation crab being a no-no. They also like to sprinkle fried things on the rolls, so stick with regular sushi or sashimi. You probably are aware of naughty soy sauce. Miso soup is a maybe- I can't have it. LOTS OF ASIAN restaurants serve PAD THAI, which is flavorful and YUMMY noodles! You can also get shrimp or meat...
  13. I WAS IN MEXICO YESTERDAY!! YOU'LL BE FINE!! ENJOY IT!! Many people speak fluent enough English to understand simple food orders: Taco with corn tortillas --in Spanish YOU'D say: Me gustaria Tacos con tortillas de maize, (maw-eez) por favor. If you order shrimp tacos, tell them it must be grilled not fried. (tacos camarones) You can have fresh salsa...
  14. TRIED IT. It works for the regular purpose...but as for the intimate activity...NOPE. Mess. I may try once more some other month.
  15. LOVE MRS. LEEPERS! I do what BroncoBux does...I prefer it reheated, actually!
  16. Hola! Back from Mexico! 10 teachers + 1 ship + tequila - kids = GOOD TIMES! Twas a nice first 4 days of the 2 week spring break! Carnival had a MANAGER come to my table the first night and explain what I could eat for the first two dinners. She said they'd make me special desserts... but much to my disappointment they didn't the first night...miscommunication...
  17. Be Careful, as anorexia is a side effect of celiac, since you feel so good when you don't eat.
  18. I'm divorced, so I don't usually give marital advice, but I will say that I met my husband with chin-length hair (think Cameron Diaz in There's something about Mary) and later, per my husband's request, I grew it out. I ended up cutting it again, because I didn't feel any appreciation from my husband about the long hair. He didn't brush it, compliment it...
  19. A man shouted, "Andy, I wanna have your baby!" at the Indian Wells quarterfinal where I was watching (with my tongue hanging out, lustingly) Andy Roddick beat Ljubicic in two sets with two tiebreaks in 80 degree evening weather with a nice breeze. Loved. It. Afterwards, in the perfect finale to this starry evening, I retracted the top in the Benz (MB is...
  20. Well, I just looked up the Diva Cup and you have to remove it for sex, so I'd rather try the Instead, since leaving it in seems like such a cool possibility!
  21. Some of us have never gotten around to getting that book about gluten free restaurant eating, but I'm aware that Pad Thai is naturally Gluten-Free(people on this board rave about it). So, I finally tried it yesterday at this CHEAP restaurant (all lunch plates $4). It was spicy and delectable! The whole dining experience was nice--ordering without having...
  22. [ Its so frustrating, i thought most hard alcohols were distilled enough to be okay? Anyway i guess that probably gave me the D. It seems my record is a week without D...its very frustrating.
  23. If I haven't taken my morning vitamins, by late morning I can totally feel the fatigue. It is common for celiacs to be anemic and I need iron supplements. I don't believe in addictive substances, such as caffeine, but I do eat fruit and sometimes M&M's when I'm desperate for energy. A good tip is to keep snacks on hand everywhere to keep your energy...
  24. After being gone all weekend for work, a romantic interest of mine came over, showered me with affection, told me how much he missed me, sang love songs to me, and gave me a gift bag with a little shirt that recommends misbehavior, and two giant Godiva chocolate-covered strawberries, one dark and one milk chocolate since he forgot which kind I could have...
  25. Enjoyed a cool techno teacher conference in Palm Springs this weekend. Yes, I was hungry and annoyed after eating a bunless burger and NONE of the divinely greasy and thick onion rings my compadres ordered at lunch. (red meat still isn't a treat for me, it's merely tolerable.) At night I Dined on the lovely, warm patio in a Tex-Mex restaurant. Palm Springs...
