  1. Hi @von, welcome to the forum! This is definitely possible, especially if your getting gluten contamination in your diet. Iodine is also an issue for many people with DH. Here are some past threads you may find helpful:
  2. Technically speaking, if you've been 100% gluten-free for two years it is very doubtful that you would suddenly get DH. If, however, you were getting small amounts of cross-contamination, perhaps when eating outside your home, then this is definitely possible. Also, having one autoimmune immune disease leaves you more likely to getting others, so psoriasis...
  3. Hi @Anne Chopping, and welcome to the forum! It's great to hear how positive things have gone for you, and your story provides hope for many who are younger and still wonder how this disease will affect their lives.
  4. Hi @Laudia, welcome to the forum! The topic you replied to here is quite old, so you may not get replies from the original posters. Are you on a gluten-free diet? Have you been diagnosed with celiac disease? If so, it can take up to two years for many of the symptoms to reside.
  5. @Ffinley Welcome to the forum! You mentioned that your celiac disease test was negative. Do you still have the results? It would be great if you could share those with us. I ask because it's possible that you may have gluten sensitivity without celiac disease, a condition referred to a non-celiac wheat sensitivity, as well as other names. Your antibodies...
  6. Welcome to the forum! Hopefully you've been eating gluten daily until today's test, and you likely should continue this until your doctor tells you otherwise. Depending on your blood test results your doctor may order an endoscopy to verify the celiac disease diagnosis, and you would need to keep eating gluten until all tests are completed. Also...
  7. @Theodore, welcome to the forum! This thread is pretty old, but yes, your on the right track here. Many people with autoimmune issues seem to improve greatly on the Autoimmune diet/Carnivore diet. I've considered doing this myself for various reasons, but haven't been brave enough yet to make the leap.
  8. Welcome to the forum! I need to update this article, but if you haven't seen this it may be helpful to you. I also recommend keeping a food diary, as perhaps you have additional food intolerance issues.
  9. @Doreen Henry, welcome to the forum and sorry you were glutened! This article may be helpful:
  10. Celiac.com 01/23/2021 - If you love chiles rellenos, but had to ditch them when you gave up gluten, this wonderful gluten-free version ditches the batter, but not the flavor. These batter-free, gluten-free chile relleno-style stuffed poblano...
  11. It is naturally gluten-free according to the ingredients.
  12. It's been a little over a month for you, but it can take two years to recover: Keep a food diary for other foods that may be causing you issues, for example main celiacs can't have dairy until their guts are fully healed.
  13. Many doctors are now diagnosing celiac disease based on blood tests alone, especially if your results are 10x the celiac level range. If you can find the celiac disease cut off level for your ttg test and share it, it would be more helpful. For example, if it were 20, then you'd be 10x the celiac level.
  14. Welcome to the forum! Just so you know, the average time for celiacs to heal on a gluten-free diet is around two years. Given that it's only been a couple of weeks, it will likely take quite a bit more time for you to recover. Some obvious things to watch that could also cause the stomach issues would be too much fiber, or even not enough fiber...
  15. Have you tried more whole foods like eggs, potatoes, vegetables, cheeses, meats, etc.? Some of those weight gain shakes have tons of ingredients. Above all, be sure his diet is gluten-free, and you may need to see if he has additional intolerance issues, but you haven't mentioned other symptoms besides low weight.
  16. Celiac.com 01/22/2021 - We get a lot of questions about alcohol, and one we've seen a lot is about coffee liqueurs, like Kahlúa. We actually did an article specifically on Kahlúa, but those answers apply equally well to any of these b...
  17. I drink coffee daily and have never had an issue. There is nothing in coffee that people with celiac disease need to avoid, this is a myth.
  18. Celiac.com 01/21/2021 - We get a lot of questions about Red Bull. Specifically, is Red Bull energy drink gluten-free and safe for people with celiac disease? As with most sports and energy drinks, Red Bull does not contain gluten ingredients...

  21. Sorry not to answer your specific questions, but I do want to try to help. Of course, going gluten-free is crucial, which it sounds like you already know. Hopefully you understand the details of a 100% gluten-free diet. I was wondering if your doctor did a blood test for vitamin & mineral levels, to see where you stand now, and whether you...
