  1. It would be good to know more about what you mean by "we also have a mills who do it 100 % clean." Do you mean these oat farmers do not grow any wheat in their fields, share transportation equipment, and don't mill any gluten containing grains? Of course this would be the ideal, however, this creates expensive products, thus General Mills spent millions...
  2. Celiac.com 04/21/2021 - Anyone with celiac knows that carrying a good gluten-free snack or energy bar can be a lifesaver. Our recent article pointing out that Clif Bar products are not gluten-free, drew out more questions about which energy...
  3. Celiac.com 04/20/2021 - Non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) is marked by intestinal and extraintestinal symptoms triggered by gluten-containing foods, but with no celiac disease or wheat allergy. There are currently no known biomarkers...
  4. 06/20/2024 - Update: DiGiorno Gluten Free Pizza was reformulated, and is now 100% gluten AND wheat-free. Gluten-free wheat starch is no longer used in the product, and I can say that the new forumula tastes outstanding! This excellent...
  5. It might be worth getting a blood test for celiac disease, just to rule it out. There are home test kits now for under $100. You must keep eating gluten daily to be able to get accurate results.
  6. I think most doctors can properly diagnose celiac disease nowadays, however, the biggest mistakes I see which are still made regularly have to do with not informing their patients that they must continue eating gluten daily until all testing is completed (at least 2 weeks before a biopsy, and 6 weeks before blood tests). Errors like these leave many people...
  7. It looks like it could be DH, so be sure to tell your doctor. They may want to have a dermatologist biopsy it for DH.
  8. Celiac.com 04/17/2021 - We get a lot of questions here about what products may contain gluten. One question we've seen a lot recently is about yogurt. Specifically, is Chobani yogurt gluten-free and safe for people with celiac disease...
  9. Not to discourage you, but I can say starting any online retail business now is harder that ever, mainly because of how huge Amazon and now Walmart, have become for online shopping.
  10. Vodka is distilled and therefore gluten-free, no matter what it’s made from.
  11. Antibody levels will start dropping as soon as you go gluten-free, but it can take months for them to get into the normal range again, but being 100% gluten-free is critical for this to happen. In some people TTg levels may correlate with gut damage, but not in everyone. We’ve had people here who had very high levels, but negative biopsy results. In some p...
  12. Yes, you can have a positive blood test, which is true for both of the TTG blood tests you had, which are very specific for celiac disease, AND a negative biopsy, so I would definitely consider yourself celiac, and start on a gluten-free diet (did your doctor recommend this yet?). Also, gluten neuropathy and nerve damage is definitely common in celiacs...
  13. You probably know this but if you plan to do the biopsy you will need to be eating gluten daily for at least 2 weeks beforehand, but it may make sense for you to just keep eating gluten until all testing is completed, but this depends on your symptoms.
  14. I've not heard this before, do you have any scientific studies on your claim that you can't absorb minerals from water? I doubt your body knows the difference between minerals in water, and minerals in food, and can absorb either.
  15. Please share the link for this, but it shows you the same info and the CDC link I posted, but just in another way. So when I said that 70 and older have an ~5% death rate from covid-19, your data shows that the rate is actually higher, at 5.4%. In my age group of 50-69 a 0.5% chance of dying is far too high of a risk, in comparison with the any risk of dying...
  16. Celiac.com 04/15/2021 - Cases of celiac disease are on the rise. Celiac disease is associated with both gastrointestinal (GI) and extra-intestinal manifestations, with psychiatric disorders being among the most common extra-intestinal...
  17. I looked at the product on Amazon where it is still claiming that it is gluten-free, but if it was on the bottle, and no longer is now, I would be suspicious as well. They may have changed something, but the ingredients are not listed on the Amazon listing: https://www.amazon.com/Kirkland-Signature-Professional-Formula-Moisture/dp/B004W3GKU0/
  18. You're in luck, Arrowhead Mills makes one: https://www.iherb.com/pr/Arrowhead-Mills-Organic-Maple-Buckwheat-Flakes-Gluten-Free-10-oz-283-g/29484
  19. I'm sorry to hear that you got glutened. Recovery can vary greatly from person to person. I have very few symptoms if I accidently get small amounts of gluten, but some people have terrible symptoms with even the tiniest amounts. Similarly, recovery times after ingestion varies greatly from person to person, and for some it is a day or two, while others...
  20. As @trents mentioned this particular test is negative for celiac disease. Did you have the test done because you have symptoms? If you do have symptoms you may want to do a DPG test, which is another blood test for celiac disease, and/or the genetic test that the results you shared recommends. Last, there currently isn't a test for non-celiac gluten...
