squirmingitch. If you haven't tried it in a while you might try it again. It (Gatorade) used to have brominated vegetable oil (BVO) it and Bromine being a Halogen can bond to the same site in the skin as Iodine and thus might mimic Iodine consumption in the body. https://www.shape.com/blogs/shape-your-life/pepsico-remove-flame-retardant-bvo...

Help with diagnosis
Posterboy replied to SJenkins114's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Wheatwacked, Try taking some Magnesium Malate or Malic Acid for your Fibrobyalgia. Source Naturals has nice supplement with Magnesium Malate and Malic Acid. Nature's life has a supplement with just Malic acid in it. You are already taken Vitamin D that been shown effective in alleviating some of the effect of Fibro. Here is the Livestrong... -
Help with diagnosis
Posterboy replied to SJenkins114's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Wheatwhacked, While I am not fan of acid blockers. H2 Antagonists like Pepcid have not yet been indicated in Kidney disease. It is the more popular PPIs acid reducers that are the problem for kidneys as I understand it. PPIs actually replaced H2 antagnoist (in the market) because they have higher ( and longer) acid blocking abilities and thus are... -
Help with diagnosis
Posterboy replied to SJenkins114's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
SJenkins, Try the generic of Tagamet .. .. Cimetidine instead. See this article by Yvonne Mostat the Confessions of a Celiac Nerd. quoting Vonnie "What??!! Dapsone was my life-line; I could never live without Dapsone! Three days without that "stuff" and the dreaded spots were back. I was referred again to a dermatologist, now fifteen... -

Maltodextrin? (vitamin ingredients)
Posterboy replied to LilyR's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
LilyR, If you are having trouble with Corn too you need to look into/researching about Pellagra. As you know many of us on this forum have multiple maladies often at the time of our celiac diagnosis. I found I also developed Pellagra with and probably because of my Celiac condition. Here is the HouseMD episode that discusses Celiac disease... -

Tash18, I am like Plumbago, I did not have these symptom's but I did do some research on your symptom's. Some Urticaria's do present with anyphlaxis. quoting from the below link/research on some Uritcarial syndromes presenting as anaphylaxis. In Part 1 I mentioned many of the GI issues diseases I think this might help and have seen it help. But most people only think of an “official diagnosis” and not co-morbidities in the same person. Treating your Vitamin deficiency lets you treat your co-morbidities. It is known as a 2ndary diagnosis in Sjorgen’s diesease as Pellagra has also ...

Syncope, Convulsions. I'm not Crazy.
Posterboy replied to jetplanelovers's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Jetplanelovers, You are not crazy. As Ennis_Tx mentioned it falls under the broad category of "Ataxia' which is mainly neurologic problems including anything related to the mind and it's function. The one I remember that stuck out is this one a year ago that triggered psychosis from eating gluten. http://www.foxnews.com/health/2016/06...- 17 replies

Posterboy replied to Demetria77's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Demetria77, Artistl and Cyclinglady have given you good advise. I had a friend with EOE and dysphagia was diffently a problem for them. You might also want to have your iron levels checked. IDA is common with EOE. Here is the link to Celiac disease and dysphagia. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10022662 I also recommend...- 20 replies

Jms13, Ennis_tx is right -- it is the carbs. Cyclyinglady is right too . . you need to do some more test(s). here is a link on chronic gastritis caused by low stomach acid. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4673514/ it is not the high stomach acid you hear (often) because doctor's don't do a heidelberg test. aka known...

nancy beal, knitty kitty has given you some good links. But I have found Lysine helped me. Emuaid is recommended for external use only. here is my response from another thread. This topic comes up often. It is a long thread (and an old one) so I am quoting the relevant information from now on copied form another thread. "see...

RainaS, You can start a new thread about this if you really think it is the Niacin but have you considered whether it could be Folic Acid instead. Some people do experience because of MTHFR gene defect issues with Folic Acid and going gluten free helps them because gluten free foods are not enriched with Folic Acid. here is a recent article...

I was inspired today for two reasons. (Sorry for the formatting) 1) my brother recently had an emergency that required hospitalization and two stents to be put in his heart. victoria1234, I think you said in a previous post you were only taking it (Magnesium) at a 100mg. This is not enough to help with the big C. Around 300mg Magnesium Citrate begins to flush people. When I used the Natural Calm powder form I found I often exceeded this amount when my teaspoon was rounded up. Or if I took 2 - 200mg tablets...

Non-stop Itching / Skin Crawling, No Rash
Posterboy replied to Oneloved's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Oneloved, I like Knitty Kitty study a lot about nutrition and find there is often a "vitamin/mineral" for that??? Sometimes not right, but often there is and the doctor's don't study nutrition enough to know the difference. But many times there are and we just don't know which one(s) to take. Believe me I know because I have tried most (at... -
Pegleg84, Here is a good thread about the benefits of Magnesium and some issues people have with taking it. Notice with smaller doses at little as 100mg or 150mg (the size of nature mades Citrate Ligquidgels) Victoria1234 felt better even taken small doses of it. The RDA is 400 mg best taken in divided doses (with each meal). Though as Ennix...

Posterboy replied to MayonnaisePlease's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
MayonnaisePlease, Ennis_Tx has given you good advice. (This is about your unusually smelly breath) aka "Dragon Breath". I know I used to have it. I would only add this article from the livestrong website about how a B-complex might help bad breath. http://www.livestrong.com/article/545758-does-vitamin-b-complex-cause-bad-breath/ And... -
Victoria1234, Dreaming is a sign the Magnesium is working. I went probably 10 years without remembering a dream and within the first week of taking Magnesium. I now dream regularly. posterboy,
