  1. I am not one to question food intolerance issues or sensitivities I have some freaky ones myself, I would not doubt you could have developed a issue with psyllum husk. It is quite abrasive and my old nutritionist told me it was like a loofah sponge for the intestines and scrubbed them, so I should try to pulse and rotate off it to avoid irritation. So going...
  2. Due to my "other" allergies I have to make my own....I have not been able to eat a corn/sugar laden marshmallow in years lol. I make smores pie. I use a marshmallow flavoring, whipped with egg whites, cream of tartar, swerve powdered sugar, Sometimes a bit of gelatin for a stabilizer, for a marshmallow meringue and top a chocolate pie on a almond flour based...
  3. You might be reacting to something else in daiya, the sugar, the starch, the gums, the binders, pea protein (a legume), the oils...look at the ingredient list. I react to xantham gum if I eat more then a tiny amount with nausea and vomiting as to many others by example. I make my own cheese cake with miyakos cream cheese, or kite hills ricotta myself...
  4. Yeah Celiac will cause the B-vitamins issues with damaged intestines Vitamin D is another huge one and magnesium. The neuropathy could be either caused by the deficiency of B-vitamins and magnesium OR it could be gluten ataxia. Do look at getting tested talk to you doctor about the FULL celiac panel, and perhaps go ahead and see about arranging the scope...
  5. Well you definite sound like many with celiac. I used to have constipation issues also....this is magnesium deficiency in many. I now get a rotating dance of D and C and my body does what ever if I get glutened. The testing would help set you straight and give you a excuse to stick to the diet 100% strict and even take the whole house gluten free. It would...
  6. I do a Ovo-vegatarian mostly sometimes I eat fish but I do not eat other meats as I can not digest them. So cutting out my eggs and fish, I would say veggie stir fry, Nut meal porridge (less starchy, and less gas effect then rice cereals), coconut wraps with veggies, stir fries, Salads, steamed dishes, veggie casserole, Creamy coconut soups (tomato, curry...
  7. I used to react to Aspartame and Asuflame, I would flip out into Mr.Hyde and start yelling, and punching walls....I have not touched them in over 5 years. Some react to sugar alcohols, depending on your diet, and the gut bacteria they can cause gas, bloating. I personally have no issues with sugar alcohols but get issues with real sugars. I use Xclear...
  8. Starting with a whole foods diet is useful and great at first, but a heads up, there is gluten free everything now days. I will say limit gluten free processed foods, most are carb bombs, and diabetes is more common amoung celiacs. Limit dairy at first also, the damaged villi mean we will have issues with the enzymes to break it down til healing. Oats are...
  9. Still would suggest the magnesium and B-vitamins, testing for magnesium is never really accurate and the majority of people have some kind of deficiency in it due to diet and natural sources not containing the amounts they used to due to soil depletion with crops. B-vitamins, do not stay in the body, and some people just require more or have them out of balance...
  10. Yeah we sort of talk about gluten foods, and processed foods being sprayed with multivitamins.....honestly you could not live off them otherwise and people would be getting sick daily on the SAD diet otherwise (Standard American Diet). A whole food and balanced diet researching what works with what. Many cases greens and grown food can even be depleted of...
  11. I have done it with a paleo/keto base, bit more strict, the big bonus are removing garlic, onions, that can give many people problems at first til the gut repairs some. Depending on your list I have a few arguments when I have tried it. I found list that put almond on it as a food to avoid, plain/roasted/ground into a plain butter no additives, I see no...
  12. I found I had additional issues with sugars, fructose/glucose as they flared another AI condition I had, Ulcerative Colitis. With celiac developing other AI issues, Sibo, Candida, etc all more common in occurrence will lead to issues with sugars and or carbs that can be broken down into said sugars in the gut. One of the reasons I push a Paleo, Keto, or Atkins...
  13. I have used Natures Way Fortify 50billion for a few years now, Best to find a gluten and dairy free one.
  14. It could be many things, I have heard the canker sores before from others, I recall highschool and college sleeping most days, chugging energy drinks and hardly being able to stay awake myself. Random bouts of anxiety, constipation, etc. To rule out Celiac I would a new doctor, and go inquire about the testing for it, you can read up here on it Open Original...
  15. Cutting boards are huge CC issues. Just get new ones, you can get cheap plastic ones of multiple colors for food safety (these can be recycled under plastic if you CC them) Disposable utensils......paper plates can be composted, plastic forks/spoons can be recycled under plastic. Foil goes in the same container as cans for recycling. Muffin tins...might...
  16. Hi I found out I had celiac disease in January of 2018 it's been 6 months I am having the worst time with this first of all I have so many other issues I have asthma, severe anxiety, severe allergies (dust, pollen ,soap , perfume, anything that grows pretty much) ,on top of that I have dyslexia, add ,OCD, I have messed up some many times because I read it...
  17. Go to a whole foods only diet for a bit, easy simple to digest, and keep a food diary, your probably got a new allergy, sensitivity , or intolerance. Happens to some of us after a gluten exposure, we get new food sensitivity as our bodies end up associating something else with the exposure and will temporarily in most cases have some kind of reaction to it...
  18. Maybe in smaller doses, it helps keep water in the stool and stimulate the intestines, think of a natural stool softener. I have to vary my dose depending on bowl habits. Particularly I need to up the dose a few days after a exposure after it rebounds into constipation then taper back down as it gets back to regular then a lower maintenance dose.
  19. It needs to be checked by a doctor, they need to do a colonoscopy to see if it is UC and not something else or more serious. There are RX for it but they are very expensive ($600-700 a month), diet works best finding the foods that flare it and removing them and taking herbs to coat and sooth the intestines. Try keeping a food diary to find flaring foods...
  20. Umm, sounds like my Ulcerative Colitis, it does flare to gluten and comonly to soy, dairy, with other triggers varying from person to person. Mine flares to sugars, fructose, glucose, carbs, and I hear others that have issues with coffee, or chocolate. Bloody stool with streaks, mucus sometimes, lower abdomen distention, pain sometimes in the sides along...
  21. With celiac disease, lactose intolerance is very common as damaged villi mean the enzymes and breaking it down do not occur properly. I have had this issue even after healing and stick to dairy free alternatives for cheese, milk etc. Fructose intolerance can also be a issues, or it could be a SIBO or Candida issues that came about (again more common with...
  22. Salmon Cakes, Grain Free Paleo Bit inspired by a few of our members and limitations I decided to combo and modify a few recipes to make this one without garlic, or onion in the base cakes. 3 6oz cans Salmon drained, crumbled 2 tbsp Fresh Dill minced fine (6 grams) 4 Eggs whisked (Room Temperature) 1/4 cup (28g) Coconut Flour 1/4 cup (20g...
  23. Magnesium Citrate will fix her problems, I had the same issues....heck the jumping up and down and hurting poops....sounds like my childhood, little did we know then. Get Natural Vitality Calm, start her on 1/4tsp (1-2grams Scales help) up the dose 1/4tsp (1-2g) a day til she gets loose stools, then back down 1/4tsp. And you found her dose, this is called...
  24. This really come down to locations, use the FindMeGluten Free app and see about places with good reviews from celiacs, and always inform your waiter, and perhaps talk to the manager. There is also the Nima Sensor a portable gluten test kit, if you get get a good sampling it works...but depends on what you order and the sample. GlidenX can shorten symptoms...
  25. NOTE on this recipe you can change the cilantro, lime, garlic, for any simmering sauce base, BBQ, teriyaki, harissa etc. 1/2 cup or so worth. Cilantro Lime Pork Chops Pork Chops a lean and finicky meat, being lean they dry out easy. This cooking method of searing then oven baking, followed by simmering in sauce, helps keep them moist. 4-5 boneless...
