Lisa- What? You don't eat toilet paper? What's wrong with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't find any good gluten-free, soy free crackers so I use it for cheese!

Hey... been wanting something that would serve for making wraps! You've given me an idea! Would probably taste about as good as anything else out there too! Probably the 2-ply stuff would be best... :)

Well said. And it seems like people aren't willing to let it go. I thought we were on to discussing products and reactions.

Well, one thing we all seem to have in common (besides celiac):

WE'RE ALL STUBBORN!!!!! (or do I mean :P ?)

Ty's been using Rice Paper wrappers lately and if he'll eat them, they must be good, or at the very least, tasteless.

Run them under warm water for 10 or 15 seconds to soften them up. He likes ham and mozzarella in them and said he's going to try them for tacos next time.

I don't know if this has been pointed out, but srokie claimed that ALL Kimberly-Clark toilet papers are "dusted," and yet we've had at least two very sensitive people say their paper of choice is Scott. Folks, Scott IS a Kimberly-Clark company.

I'm also curious why wheat-flour dusted toilet paper wouldn't leave a little pile of flour dust on the floor below the holder, in addition to you know where else.

As a newbie I have found this site to be helpful as well.

As for who eats toilet paper~ well, that would be my lovely 19 month old who got a roll from the storage area the other day and was stuffing it in her mouth and running away from me laughing.

Very cute and funny~ but now I have to be more careful that she does not get glutenized from TP in the future!

Yep, my grandson does that! So does my gluten-sensitive little cat. I'll tell you what, fishing soggy toilet paper out of wet mouths is no fun, especially when those mouths are full of teeth!

I wonder if those who are contacting Kimberly Clark about what, if anything, they dust their products with would post those replies - IN A DIFFERENT THREAD.

I have emailed the makers of Angle Soft toilet paper and will do the same when I get a response.

This thread is so depressing to read that it would be nice to have the information elsewhere.

Today (Monday) is a holiday, so I would not expect to hear back any earlier than Tues. or Wed.

I dont think we should expect anything more from her than we would expect from *any* excited, newly diagnosed 20 year old.

I think you should expect more than you're evidently expecting from a 20 year old. I'm "only" 21, but I certainly didn't act like that, nor would I have tolerated any friends acting like that, a year ago.

I e-mailed Cottonelle.

Exactly Michi--hehe. It's Martin Luther King Jr. Day--here in NY it's a national holiday. In Michigan, the kids go to school the same as usual. Here on Long Island, nearly everything on the calendar is celebrated, kids are off school all the time. All the Jewish Holidays are observed here, not in Michigan. I work for a doctor who doesn't observe these holidays cause he wants the business of the patients off work. So, here on Long Island, I still have Michigan Holidays!!!

Thanks, everyone. Guess a good number of members are at home reading and posting today!

And, up until a few years ago, in VA, it was called "Lee Jackson King" Day.

I didn't exactly know today was a holiday, I did...but it doesn't feel like it. I work in a hospital we don't close for holidays so sometimes I forget the smaller ones. :)

I got them from the T&T Supermarket in Harvest Hills NW Calgary. I believe that's a bit of a drive for you - maybe 2 or 3 days, so check the Asian section of your grocery. I've seen them everywhere. The ingredients are: rice flour, low salt added, & water. It's 3 Elephants brand. 100 wrappers for about $2.50 or so. I got the small ones, about 6" across, but they have big ones and I think square ones as well.

Re: the bread, Ty had 4 pieces of toast and 3 sandwiches in the last 3 days. He took a sandwich for lunch too. Unbelievable!

Now the most important question: What kind of dogs are the Dingos? I had a heeler cross with those very ears. I thought he was beautiful and everyone else thought he was "interesting". <_<

very good, I'll look for these. So...you don't cook them, you just wet them?

 Linda - I believe you may have asked this before, and I forgot to answer. So sorry. The dingos....well Tika (in avatar, at Carmel beach yesterday), I got at SPCA 12 years ago, as a 10-week-old VERY HYPER puppy. Her brother had one blue eye. I think she is shepard/red queensland, or husky/queensland. Not sure. Exceedingly bright, VERY intense and very agile/athletic. Annie - found her on the highway about four years ago. Sweetest dog I've ever known. She is a herder of some sort.....maybe part cattle dog? Her herding is not always received so well at the beach. Sometimes looks very Basenji in her expression, and she seldom barks.

Heelers are my favorite dogs - I'd never have any other kind. :)

When I have had what I think are episodes of this (I've never had a formal diagnosis for PF) it seems to be triggered by bloating caused by something I've eaten - a friend had an episode of this after eating too many apples, for me corn and rice cakes seemed to give me IBS and trigger this.  I am not a medical person but it seemed like the extra pressure down there perhaps added pressure to already sensitised pelvic and rectal muscles. Coeliacs can suffer from bloating when they are first diagnosed due to the inability to digest food properly.  Lactose for me caused a lot of bloating and when I came off it temporarily after diagnosis it helped reduce bloating.  Iron supplements and the timing of taking them also caused discomfort and I had to experiment a bit with type and timing before my gut felt comfortable.   Maybe something to think about?   Some coeliacs suffer from constipation - again, just a thought, but perhaps if you had issues with that it might be a contributor.

At a family wedding in Italy last year I was drinking gluten free Peroni which was fine for me. From the Daura Damn website ... " Our guarantee less than 3ppm: each batch is analyzed and certified by the CSIC using the R5 Competitive ELISA test before hitting the market. This way, we ensure that its gluten content is always below 3ppm "

Hi jmartes, I brought up doTerra's website and see that they do have many supplements, offer  support and help. And using their organic products has been helpful. and yet you are not able to work enough to support yourself when, if you were healtht, you could work for another 20 years. It does not seem that they offer a program to follow and instead are offering supplements for your symptoms. This has helped you but you are not able to work very much.  The Programs I have seen  online usually have 3 parts. The first is a Parasite cleanse. The 2nd is the Kidney cleanse and the  3rd is a Liver cleanse and gallbladder cleanse. You need to doall these cleanses to have your whole body functioning well. I can only reccommend the program I gave you because that is the one I used and still do. (drclark.net)  When I see a newprovider and tell I have Celiacs and they look skeptical I tell them that when I am gluttoned the reaction happens 8 or more hours later with intestinal painful cramping followed by diarrhea. Providers are willing to accept tha I probably have Celiacs and are more likely order tests such as vitamin levels. Is this what happens if you eat only a small amount of Gluten? You mentioned going to Mayors. 20 years ago many Dr.s wanted to include a celiac screening as a standard test so that more people eould diagnosed and not become disabled. It did not happen but the Federal levgislature did pass a law so that Celiacs could claim deductions for the gluten free food they bought. What were you going to ask the Mayors to do?

How bad can this get ?? Does it go away??  How long ? Thank you

Thank you for all the excellent information. I moved from Wyoming to California. May be its where I am located but So far none of the Costco Kirkland brand I have looked at is labeled gluten free. Same with the Sam's Members Mark. The Kirkland nuts you mention all say they are processed in a plant that processes wheat.  I am going to keep checking. Thank you. The Azure Market looks promising 😁 Take care S
