1desperateladysaved replied to jwblue's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I had mononucleousis when I was 19 and in college. After that I noticed, unending fatigue, bloating on occassion, and sensitivities to perfume and cigarette smoke. My appetite had unusual swings from famished constantly, to a severe lack of appetite. The symptoms gradually got more and more noticeble, but I think I was numbed either by extreme fatigue... -

ARCHIVED Igg Testing -Recent Article Questions Reliability
1desperateladysaved replied to IrishHeart's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I am glad I did my IGG testing. There were some things that showed up I was surprised I was eating. However, did you realize that dried seaweed may contain crab and other sea creatures? I mostly discovered that I needed a rotational diet for Leaky gut. I am afterwards feeling quite well. It may be too soon to tell for sure. I am so glad that I found... -

Oh, so sorry to hear you have suffered that. I also have a gluten intolerant friend that uses rice dream consistently. Could you tell me where you found the information about barley in Rice Dream? I take it it is not on the label? I can't tell how long it will take to get better, but you can help your body by getting plenty of water and sleep. Take some... -

In my own opionion ADHD can be diet related. Feed her good food. My brother had some problems with it when I was young. Mom helped him by using Dr. Ben Feingold's diet. His book gives details of eliminating food colorings and artificial flavorings. I was amazing how these additives (or rather eliminating them) changed my brother's behaviour. Maybe homeschooling... -
ARCHIVED Hi All
1desperateladysaved replied to bm1984's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Greetings Ben, I sure hope you have discovered the solution to your problems before it got to bad. Please let us know what happens for your testing. I have reacted to having barley flour in the same room, so I don't think it is impossible to have problems when preparing sandwiches. After testing maybe you can bring a thermos full of warm food for lunches... -
ARCHIVED Fading Fast. And I'm Just Getting Started :(
1desperateladysaved replied to Cderbogh's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
You are new here and I feel for you. After all, I was asking the same question about 6 months back when I was 2-3 weeks into my diet. . Many of us have had to go grain free to recover. I did a classic gluten free diet before I went grain free. I remember the dismay when I learned I needed to cut out more foods. I went through renewed withdrawl symptoms... -
ARCHIVED 3 Weeks In: Will It Ever Get Better?
1desperateladysaved replied to Hala's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I think you are experiencing withdrawl symptoms. I am sorry you are going through that, but I feel hopeful you can overcome it with time. I am not sure if you realize that withdrawl is overwhelming and physically takes alot out of you. You can feel emotional because of it also. Some of my worst days of this were followed by my best days, so perhaps soon... -

ARCHIVED My Stomach Is An Evil Dictator And Need Putting In Line, Anyone Wanna Help?
1desperateladysaved replied to rgarton's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Do you only eat these every day, or is this just a sample? I have lots of food intolerances, but eat many of my intolerant foods in rotation style. I hope you will find some more foods to add in. I can't do grains, so I do almond flour, nut flours, and buckwheat. I only eat bites of fruits with meals. Meat is the only food that really digests well... -

1desperateladysaved replied to TGK112's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I am thinking that symptoms are a good thing! Couldn't osteorporosis and other problems be symptoms of celiac? I guess these wouldn't give you the instant confirmations, but perhaps a long trail of results? -
ARCHIVED How Long Does It Take To Heal?

I have had 30 years of undiagnosed celiac. The MD told me that it would take 6 months (ateast to heal) I am about 6 months into a grain free diet and have felt recently that my body is working hard to recover. I also discovered many of my products are cross contaminated. I have been slowly going through various medical tests to help me in my plight. ... -

Well, I had had undiagnosed celiac for sometime before my first child was born. I had 5 children, which are all between 24 and 15.. Each one has good teeth. There must be more to it then just undiagnosed celiac. My son's dentist told him that he had inherited good teeth, but both my husband and I have had troubles. I thought I needed to post this, so... -

ARCHIVED Not Trying Enough New Foods...scared Of Allergies..
1desperateladysaved replied to 123glldd's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I did a blood test for IGG food intolerances. Some of my experience with it is posted in my blog. The idea of the test is to find antibodies for specific foods. If there are antibodies to it, one's body is treating it as foreign matter which it should attack. Don't panic, however, a rotational diet can stay ahead of the body's fight. To make this...
