I have lactose intolerance and a apparent allergy to whey, I used to have a issue with casein early on, where it made my autism worse. But I have it in ONE brand of gluten free, and lactose free cheese I eat and I see no issues anymore.....but any bit of other forms of milk be it whey or lactose and I get those nice pimple like bumps on my chest and back...- 41 replies

Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link The above are what I have very simple you seal one end first cut to size, pack then seal the other end and done. ARCHIVED Need help about freezing vegetables
Ennis-TX replied to LexieA's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Freezer bags will work but might get freezer burned after 2-6 months. I invested in a vacuum sealer years ago, one of the best investments ever. You can vacuum pack foods and they keep without burning for over a year. Also you can make veggie steam pouches out of them by packing your veggies, seasonings and herbs in a bag and when you want them, just stab... -

ARCHIVED Why bread does not rising?
Ennis-TX replied to Johny-Cage's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
OK first off psyllium, and xantham???? Choose one at psyllium about 2tbsp to a a 1.5lb loaf is what my bakery uses for ours. The flax is going to add some extra denseness to and and low down rising considerably vs eggs, when we do vegan recipes and sub in flax eggs we see this often, like our muffins, cinnamon cakes, etc. It will always be dense. Ennis-TX replied to melaniesilvers's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs

ARCHIVED Will a New Enzyme Mean No More Gluten-Free Diet for Celiac Disease?
Ennis-TX replied to Scott Adams's topic in Publications & Publicity
Stuff is always hit and miss, will help with reactions, and be great for treating CC issues but not a cure for the disease, or even remotely allow you to consume normal gluten.....like taking poison and then downing a half assed antidote....your still going to get sick just not as bad. Might as well not eat the poison in the first place. -

ARCHIVED Gluten pizza party in my house?
Ennis-TX replied to GFAnnie's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
The issue with pizza is you pick it up by hand....you pick up grease coated gluten, you then touch door handles, desk, arm rest on chairs, counters, chairs, remotes, switches, water facets.....spreading gluten residue with sticky grease everywhere. Then someone else touches then touches their gluten free food, or their lips...BAM glutened .....pizza is one... -
