  1. Why post in a thread on your favorite alcoholic beverages if you don't drink?
  2. My experience in running this site for 25 years is that there are tons of things that people with celiac disease might also react to that are gluten-free, and this is no good reason to not be able to label them as gluten-free.
  3. After going gluten-free for a while some celiacs get super sensitive to gluten, and even tiny amounts can cause them great distress. This will be a concern for you because if your doctor wants you to wait months to get an endoscopy you should technically probably still be eating gluten until that is finished, because your results would likely be false...
  4. The FDA's new ruling makes it so that distilled spirits, no matter their source, can be labelled "gluten-free." The same is true for distilled vinegar: https://www.thespiritsbusiness.com/2020/08/fda-ruling-allows-gluten-free-labelling-on-spirits/
  5. Celiac.com 08/18/2020 - In the last decade or so, cases of celiac disease have been on the rise globally. Is the disease itself becoming more common, or are more people being diagnosed? A recent podcast by The People's Perspective on Medicine...
  6. I'm not sure about the specific test you are seeking, but genetic testing for celiac disease markers is very common now, and many companies offer it. Even 23AndMe.com offers a genetic screening for it, but there are likely other specialty companies that offer more specific results than the generic ones.
  7. Celiac.com 08/17/2020 - The case of a man whose celiac disease went into remission after he took an off market drug for alopecia, even though he was eating gluten, is getting some attention from researchers. An alopecia patient at...
  8. Here is more info in the blood tests: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/how-accurate-are-celiac-disease-blood-antibody-tests-r32/
  9. I agree with @trents and would bring this up with your doctor. I don't think this would be celiac disease-related.
  10. To me the images seem consistent with DH, but to confirm this you'd need to go to a dermatologist who understands DH and knows how to do the biopsy. Can I assume that you are eating gluten daily? If not, your test may be a false negative. If you are eating gluten I'd also recommend that you get a blood screening done for celiac disease:
  11. PS—I can’t read the studies for you—you need to do that on your own if you’re genuinely interested in this topic...I’ve presented them, and if you won’t read them and continue with unfounded negative comments you’re clearly just trolling this thread.
  12. The enzymes should be taken just before, during or shortly after eating any meal that could be contaminated...in other words any time you eat at a restaurant or outside your home. If you read the studies you’ll see that AN-PEP has been shown to break down small amount of gluten in the stomach, before it ever reaches you intestines. Given the high levels o...
  13. Celiac.com 08/15/2020 - Wait, did he just say "watermelon pizza" with a straight face? He did, indeed. Some folks will think this crazy. Others will try it and have their minds and appetites blown by this amazingly refreshing, perfect...
  14. Celiac.com 08/14/2020 - Monoglycerides and diglycerides do not contain wheat, rye, barley. They are gluten free and safe for people with celiac disease. Monglycerides and diglycerides appear on a number of gluten-free lists, including...
  15. Grapefruit seed extract appears to be, if that is what you mean. It contains grapefruit seed and pulp with glycerin, according to this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grapefruit_seed_extract
  16. magnifying glass...
  17. If you click the hour glass you'll go here for a more detailed search: https://www.celiac.com/search/
  18. It definitely could be related to eating gluten if you are sensitive to it. I had similar issues, went to the emergency room a couple of times because it felt like heart issues, but they found nothing. I also had panic attacks that were sometimes associated with this, and the feeling of vertigo. This was at the height of my symptoms before I finally got diagnosed...
  19. I don't believe that it would contain any gluten in an IV form, but possibly in a pill form. I know that magnesium citrate causes me IBS-like symptoms, so I wonder if calcium citrate could do the same?
  20. To be safe we removed them from the list: Jell-O Instant Oreo Cookies 'n Cream Pudding & Pie
